Villa Nicolli Romantic Resort - Adults Only in Riva del Garda

We booked Villa Nicolli because it was an adult only hotel in the middle of the school holidays. Its reputation for good food and good service is well deserved. The staff are excellent, friendly and will do whatever they can to make the stay a good one. Special mention goes to Ignazio, Nicola and Suavec but 18 yr old Christian was a joy. Our room, a junior suite, was spacious and comfortable. The four course dinner was varied and tasty (we were half board). The hotel is a ten minute walk to the centre of the old town. I’d recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel, exceptionally clean and the staff were polite, helpful and welcoming.
It is located in a quiet area and is only a 10 minute walk to the lake and the bus station.

Things we didn’t like
Lack of adaptor sockets in the room, only 1 that we could see
No bin in the room, although there was one in the bathroom
Shower cubicle was tiny and the showered head bracket did not stay in place so shower head kept slipping to the bottom
Sink was leaking
I would expect more from a 4 star hotel

My wife and I went for a holiday here in August 2024.
We had a fantastic holiday.
The staff are superb.
Everyone works towards looking after you and providing great service on your holiday.
The reception staff, the waiting staff in the restaurant and even the man who is at reception at night. They helped create a great holiday for my wife and I.
The only thing that lets this hotel down is the bar.
This is the only place I have ever been, that does not tell you how much you have spent on each visit to the bar.
The only time you find out how much your drinks are, are when they hit you ( and I mean hit you ) with a bill at the end of your stay.
I found the bar prices here very high.
I'd like to use this hotel in the future because the staff are so good.
A useful tip if you are planning a stay - there is great supermarket (CO-OP) 10/12 mins walk for any supplies you need for your room.

Amazing time, felt like family! Will return again and again.. made a business trip feel like a vacation. Great pool, room, view , staff, drinks, it was all perfect!

We had very nice stay there. I would say that the hotel is partially renovated, but looks very nice. It has small spa and is close to the lake and all the amenities. I really enjoyed breakfasts there, the staff is very kind and positive. 🙂

Great location. Walking distance to downtown Riva de Garda. Great customer service. My wife got a deep tissue massage, and she loved it (my wife is also a massage therapist). The indoor pool was fantastic. Covered parking and good breakfast each day. You order your eggs and coffee from the waiter, and the rest is Buffet style.

Decent food with smallish portions but still full you up.
We had a junior suite which was spacious but nothing special.
Indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor pool doesn't have a hand rail so not easy to get in and out if you aren't 100% fit.
Plenty of sunbeds around pool and in garden. No parasols really but plenty of shade from trees.
A little out of town centre which does keep it quiet but a bit of a stroll to get to centre & no taxis!!

Holidays are expensive luxuries, especially nowadays, and decisions about where to go cannot be taken lightly. It speaks volumes therefore that, uniquely, immediately after returning from our stay at the Villa Nicole this summer we set about booking to return to the same hotel next summer. It was that good.
The hotel itself is tucked away off a quiet avenue a short stroll from both the town and the lakeside-both easily walkable either along the road or using paths and cycle ways. From the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by both the amazing staff and your wonderful surroundings- views across the very pleasant, relaxed bar area and out to the new pool and bathing facilities, with multiple comfortable loungers either by the pool itself or in a separate green and shaded area for when the heat gets too intense.
The staff, without exception, were wonderful- remaining efficient and knowledgeable about what they were doing whilst at the same time sharing humour and jokes under the twinkling, watchful eye of Maitre d' Ignatio, who's dry, deadpan humour set the tone for the entire team. They made the whole stay a pleasure and are certainly one of the main reasons we will be returning.
The rooms were well appointed and clean and the food was amazing- a wide choice of both local and international dishes and no repeated offerings throughout our two weeks and so beautifully prepared and presented.
Riva is lovely and interesting, the hotel and its facilities are great and the staff are the best!!
Looking forward to next summer already so BEWARE IGNATIO- the peg man is coming back!

This is a lovely hotel. It's exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are lovely and hard working as they are a small team who take pride in the service they offer. The only downside for us was that it was a little further from the centre of Riva than we expected so it's a good 15-20 minute walk to and from the centre, which can feel further in the hot weather.

The stuff is really wonderful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Amazing pool with great views of the mountains. Great value for money.
