Hotel Marzia

To whomever want to reserve a room in hotel Marzia, I recommend that you think again and again carefully before you actually do so. I gave one star cause that is the worst rating. If possible, I want to give minus five stars.
Never imagined that I would be refused to check-in simply because I arrived a little later than 8 pm. The front gate of the hotel is closed and no one is answering the door bell. I called the reception by phone and the lady who answered could not speak English. It was so difficult to talk to her and after nearly half an hour of communication, I realized that she wasn’t even in the hotel, let alone come and open the gate for me! They probably wanted me to sleep on the street at such a cold temperature. I made another call, and this time, a rude man answered. He just shouted:“ it is too late, we are closed!” several times and nothing else. Then he hanged up the phone without listening to what I said. I never imagined that the service in a city famous of tourism could be as terrible as this. This is totally discrimination towards Asian people like me (and probably non-Italian).
The next day, i asked for refund because my check in was rejected and I didn’t stay in that hotel that night. It is not my fault. They rejected my refund request. Besides discrimination, it is also an overload clause. Rejecting check-in simply because tourists are a little late for the unpunctuality of Italian trains is totally unreasonable.
I have travelled to so many cities and stayed in so many hotels, this is the worst hotel I have ever heard. However the hotel explain for their unfriendly behavior, I will never think about staying here ever again. Rude service, shouting at customers, rejecting check-in, this is simply terrible.

The personnel is rude. I had trouble arriving on time, I received a call in a complaint tone that the receptionist had to leave at 8, I literally didn’t understand what that had to do with me, the thing is that they leave the hotel UNATTENDED at night, I’ve never seen something similar. The BREAKFAST is NOT INCLUDED even though the website says. For things like these I usually prefer hotels rather than b&b’s but this time I was shocked
