Fabulous re-purposed Palace, with antique frescoes and painted ceilings. Great views from room. Well appointed bathroom. Very close to the main visitor locations.
Concierge staff were most helpful. A few stairs to climb in between Lift stops, be prepared !

Hotel Paris exceeded our expectations, and our expectations were pretty high. Our suite was huge. It included A/C, a sitting room, good-sized bathroom, giant stone fireplace (non-working), and beautiful old furniture and chandelier. Keep in mind, Americans, this building is hundreds of years old, so expect a blemish or two. The service was AMAZING. The staff was so attentive and friendly. They worked with us via email before the trip to handle our questions and provide recommendations on food and tours. Their extraordinary customer service continued throughout the stay. The buffet breakfast was tasty, convenient, and affordable. We couldn't have been happier and felt like family. One thing to consider, though, and that's location. If this is your first time to Florence, then Hotel Paris is the perfect spot. All of the major sights -- e.g., the Duomo -- are within easy walking distance. Countless restaurants and cafes are close by. Banking and shopping is nearby, too. However...the hotel is located in a very busy neighborhood. There are lots of people, lots of noise, and lots of bustle. This is what we were looking for, so we had no complaints and the location was perfect. But if you're want something a little calmer, I'd recommend staying outside the city center. That said, we definitely would stay at the Hotel Paris again. Thank you, staff, for making our Italian vacation extraordinary!

Excellent central location with friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was a buffet style and tea/coffee was available in the dining room 24 hours a day. Room was comfortable and the building had lots of charm. We had a very enjoyable stay

All the staff at this hotel were very professional and always helpful with any questions we had! The hotel is in a busy but good location that is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Our room was a bit dated and not really well lit, but it was very clean and well stocked. The breakfast was very good, with many different options to choose from. We enjoyed our stay and thought this was a good a good hotel to stay for easy access to sightseeing, tours and restaurants.

Google lists this as a 3-star hotel and as a 3-star hotel, I give it 5 stars. It is a very cute and comfortable hotel in a fantastic location (just a few blocks away from the Duomo, and walking distance to the train station). Service was wonderful. The room we were in was very large, especially for European standards. We had a view of the Duomo in the distance from our bathroom window, which was a delightful surprise. Mom and I booked and paid in advance and requested a room with 2 beds. We were put in a family room with 3 beds (one queen and 2 twin), all comfortable. The bathroom was also large. It had a full-sized bathtub and a teeny tiny shower in a corner. While in the shower, I felt like I was in one of those vacuum tubes banks and Costco used to use - haha! I'm a bigger lady, and was able to use it just fine, but I think any husky or beefy men or women over a US size 20-22 may have a problem fitting in it. The tub also has a shower head, but no curtain or anything to make a typical US shower experience, but you could make due if needed. The only thing not working in our room was the fridge, which wasn't an issue to us. My only real complaint about the room is the terrible lighting in the bathroom for applying makeup. The lighting is recessed and overhead (and one of the 3 lights was out), so you get these terrible shadows and can't tell what your brows really look like lol.

Besides the shower, another quirk was the elevator/stairs. Because the hotel is in what I assume to be multiple different historic buildings, we couldn't access our room simply by elevator. We took the elevator up to 2 and then had to take a short but steep set of glass stairs into a different building and find our room from there. Like the shower, not a problem for Mom and me, but just something to be aware of. We found this quirk charming and fun. They offered to help us with our bags, which I wish we had taken them up on (we didn't know about the stairs), but no worries! I'm pretty strong and Mom and I got everything squared away.

The breakfast was a nice perk. The eggs tasted more like cottage cheese to me and the bacon didn't look cooked, but hey... free breakfast. The pastry selection was fantastic... their pistachio croissants in particular are so delicious. There were plenty of selections at the small breakfast buffet that should satisfy most. Mom is vegetarian and had no problems with getting enough to eat.

The staff here is phenomenal. Every person we encountered was amazing. We had a tour and needed to store our luggage on the day of check-out and they were very accommodating. If I'm ever in Florence again, I'm definitely staying here again. I really enjoyed this charming hotel.

am so angry with my visit to Hotel Paris. I booked three rooms for my family and spent over 1300 euros. On the 23rd July 2025 my daughter in her single room was woken at 3am by banging on the door, she thought it was her door. It was actually the door next to hers room 203. She is a confident young lady but was frightened, she was going to phone reception but did not want the man banging to hear her. A few mins later an Italian gentleman came and shouted at the person banging on the door. She does not speak Italian so does not know if he was staff. At approx 9am I spoke to reception explained what had happened and said I would return in an hour to resolve the complaint. I returned to reception spoke to the only lady on reception who advised me she had spoken to management and could only offer a 20% reduction on that room of 28 euros. If my daughter had called reception at 3am maybe they could have done more. I said so your putting all the responsibility on your guest a frighten single young lady. I find this so unacceptable
Don’t hotels have responsibilities to their lone female guests. My daughter came down to reception to check out and I introduced her to the reception lady, she acknowledge her but DID NOT APOLOGISED TO HER OR ACKNOWLEDGED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I felt insulted by response from staff. I said I would complete a review and she said they will respond

Location is just superb! 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral and 10 minutes walk to Uffizi.
The rooms would benefit from renovation but the hotel itself has a history and a nice soul, and the staff conveys a caring atmosphere.
As a radical night owl, I absolutely loved it that tea, coffee, and tasty biscuits were available in the breakfast hall 24/7 for self-service.
And if all people in the service industry were like Signor Massimo at the reception, this world would have been a much nicer place 😊

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the main attractions in Florence. Second best thing about this hotel is it's history. Look it up. It's an old palace that was converted into a commercial hotel.

The service was also very good. They allowed us to leave our luggage both before and after checkout times in their luggage room for free, which was very helpful for us as we were traveling with small kids and we didn't have to haul our luggage as we went for sightseeing. They also have elevators, so you don't have to drag luggage up and down the stairs.

Now the bad part- which is another aspect of the good part (its proximity to main attractions)- the rooms have old style windows that doesn't block any outside noise at all. Maybe this is how it's with all the old buildings but we had a hard time sleeping through the night. They also have construction going on currently (as of April 2025). I don't know if it was that but on our first night we heard a loud noise like a giant motor from around 5-7am! Noise from the streets is also very disturbing for a good night's sleep. But again, its probably due to the old building and it's location.

Again, no complaints on the service. Their team was very helpful with all of our requests. This review is for prospective guests so that they know what are the pros and cons of the property.
