Dedo Boutique Hotel in Florence

The breakfast was amazing. A lot of variety and very fresh. The room was cleaned daily. The staff was very friendly. The only thing is that the rooms are very small and the shower is literally in the room. But, most rooms in Europe, in centrally located hotels are very small so this we were expecting to be like that. The location of the hotel is amazing. In a few minutes you are close to major historical sites. Overall, we highly recommend it.

The hotel was centrally located on a quiet street and was clean, comfortable and I had all the amenities I needed in my room. They also kindly provided a breakfast to go as I had an early flight to catch. Access was challenging as the hotel is in a shared building with locked gates, and I would not have been able to get inside to check in had someone else not been leaving at the same time. No information was provided in advance about how to access. Also there was no airport transport as advertised and which was my primary reason for choosing this hotel. They ordered a taxi for me but it did not show up at the appointed time early in the morning and the reception desk was not manned 24/7 so I had to scramble to find a ride to the airport which was stressful.

The staff, especially Laura, were very nice and extremely helpful. My room was spotless and quiet. Breakfast was wonderful and had plenty of options.

Pros: Great location, 10 minutes to the station, just across the bridge to the main shopping area. Great service.
Cons: Although there is an elevator, some rooms require very narrow stairs, so don't book if you have a big suitcase. The single room is very small, and the socket in the room can't use a conversion plug (basically other places can, but the front desk provides it. There are slippers in the room. Overall, it is suitable for short stays for people with less luggage. Breakfast is OK.

The location is excellent. its right down the street from beautiful Arno river.
The service is also very good. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast had many good options, even for a vegetarian travelling Europe.

Room is compact, but washroom is spacious and comfortable. Room and the washroom has all that is required.
We found the stay very pleasant and comfortable.

Service: great! except old man ( he was afternoon shift, we say Hi but he didn’t see us and answer )
Location: good! Was very quiet area.
Breakfast: not bad, but the place was small.

Very nice and cosy boutique hotel . Though you need to climb 3 flights of stairs as it is up an old building . But service was superb and had a great breakfast . Finding the hotel was tough as it wasn't very prominent

The staff here is phenomenal! They do great service with a smile.
Rooms are clean and neat in an up to date atmosphere.
You can hear your neighbors. TV was difficult to get subtitles. Shower was great pressure.
Stairs can be difficult even for a few steps taking your suitcase to the small elevator.
But I liked the location and the charm and quaintness of Dedo.
I would stay here again just because the staff makes it so welcoming. Like you are visiting their home. I never felt treated like a number.

Have to rate a 4/5 as whilst the staff were lovely and location was great, there were a few things about the room which were very frustrating.

The hotel itself is in a very old building with a very susceptive lift (barely fits in two females) so the option is to go up three floors of stairs (hard with luggage). Bit hard to find but all ok. Hotel staff and reception were lovely with a great intro to the room.

The room itself was nice but very hot. And the walls were thin so we could hear everyone in their rooms! We couldn’t figure out the air con (and no instructions) and the window/door that opened let in a very bad smell! The plug sockets in the room were useless (we were room 8) and only one worked. Now we are from the UK so were using plug adapters, but nevertheless only meant we could charge one thing at once. The bed and shower were great.

Amazing location, in a relatively safe area I think and felt safe at night. Only 15 mins walk from the duomo.
