Nice hotel in a beautiful location. The hotel good restaurants and a bar. Breakfast is not impressive diversity and reduce overall opinion.

Gorgeous gardens and pools; breakfast was extensive and high quality. Giacomo at the front desk is particularly helpful and enthusiastic, and Giuseppe at breakfast spreads a positive attitude to all the guests

Beautiful hotel with very good amenities. The indoor and outdoor pools were the highlight as they were big enough to accommodate many guests without it feeling cramped

Its location is fantastic, right on the border of the lake, providing a terrific view. If you have the option, I highly recommend spending extra for a lake view room; the sight on the first morning is truly worth it

But a few detail issues: the TV had issues getting some channels, the jacuzzi tub wouldn't turn on, and the bed was squeaky and too soft for our taste. But overall a wonderful experience; we will come back!

Inside the hotel corridors have window displays with beautiful private collections, including tea cups, thimbles, smoking paraphernalia. My father worked at this hotel for one season more that 50 years ago

I visited during the opening season at the end of March and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel offers a charming, classic ambiance that feels like a walk through time in the best possible way

We ordered room service for one evening meal - the food was delicious and plentiful. The spa, sauna/steam/snow room and indoor/outdoor pool facilities were great. Super clean and staff were on hand if needed

The Breakfast was included in our stay and well worth it. A lovely buffet of both cooked and continental breakfast food was available. They catered for gluten and dairy free dietary needs

There’s a huge free car park onsite. The hotel is an easy walk to Stresa and there are plenty of running routes along the lake (some without paths on main roads but well used by locals)

It is beautiful. There are silk walls and everything. The food is good there too. Everything is good. You also have a pool, direct access to the lake.

Absolutely stunning palatial hotel. I could not fault it - impeccable attentive service from all staff who went above and beyond

It was great to experience service from staff who gave the impression they loved their job and nothing was too much. We upgraded to the superior room with a balcony and lake views

The staff were all very helpful and friendly, they were always ready to help. Special mention to Barbara who worked in the breakfast restaurant, she was so lovely and remembered our coffee order each day

Outstanding staff made my 3 day stay pleasant. Bed and pillows are not comfortable, so little sleep. The town is walkable from this hotel

This is an old style Italian hotel, but the hospitality is old style too. One was outstanding, one was ordinary. Very good outcome for a 7 night stay, we felt. There was typically at least 4 choices for each Course

We had the pool and garden facilities of the Regina Palace Hotel within our charges, which made up for the hotel having no grounds

Basic under cooked bacon and eggs (American) each day with pastries, fruit, yogurt and cereal

The whole hotel has a vintage and classic feel, but has been maintained superbly. Our room was spotless and was cleaned every day, which was a nice touch. Breakfast had a nice variety of sweet and savoury items

Beautiful spot, lovely views everywhere. Extremely nice suite, uniquely designed, practical. Sadly only there for one night. Can't recommend highly enough

It is located on the shore of the lake, a bit further away from Stresa downtown. The staff is the kindest staff I ever met. They listen to you and find you solution. They are knowledgeable about the region and what to do

We’ve just been to the hotel for dinner, but everything was just perfect. The food was delicious - never had such a great fish. The location would be perfect for our wedding. The prices are high but appropriate

Being the only hotel that has a beach club also really sets it apart from the rest with an infinity pool at the beach club and the sky bar gives this place a real wow factor

I stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon and had a phenomenal experience. The hotel felt like its own vacation, especially with the stunning rooftop pool and bar

The additional pool across the street, right on the lake, was amazing, and the views from both pools were breathtaking. Our room and bathroom were incredibly spacious, adding to the comfort of our stay

Stresa would not be as lovely if it were not for this perfect hotel. The service is what you might experience at a 5 star Paris hotel. Lovely view, incredible pool, wonderful breakfast

The hotel is conveniently within walking distance of everything. Paying for breakfast was definitely worth it, and the on-site restaurant was fantastic. Overall, we had the best stay and can't wait to return!

However, breakfast menu could be better, dining hours could be extended, the room lacks coffee maker/ water boiler, and iron. TV is small and has limited local channels

We have just returned from a week staying at the hotel Astoria. The location is perfect, although quite a bit of noise from the hotel next door as they have celebrations

We stayed the last days here and we literally had the perfect stay at hotel Royal in Stresa! Perfect service and super friendly staff member! Everyone who's working there is doing their work with all their heart and famiglia Rosa and their team are taking care very well for their guests! The rooms and the hotel area is super clean and there is like a "home feeling" in the hotel area

The hotel staff are very friendly and speak English. The food was excellent and the service very good. The hotel was adorned with some beautiful paintings which have been painted by the owner of the hotel

The lounges and bar areas were comfortable and pleasing. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom too a good size. There was plenty of wardrobe space, television, safe but no tea making facilities

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel which is about 250 yards from Lake Maggiore. Sone bedrooms overlook part of the lake and mountains and others overlook the well kept gardens

Indoor pool a nice bonus and location good for cable car a few restaurants and boat accross to islands however a good 10 minutes walk into centre of Stresa

Small pool, but you can use the big pool at the Astoria

A friendly hotel and comfortable. Very convenient for cable car and for the lake. Great walk along the lake front just outside hotel with stunning views of Isola Bella. Food is good without being too fussy

Nice room, clean and ok. Nice location just in front of the lake, Birromeo island and the funiculare

Comfortable room, with a balcony and a view of the lake. Incredibly friendly manager who was genuinely interested in us, and how we were doing. We were met by a curious goose, chickens, and a couple of friendly dogs

(The outside of the building doesn't promise much, but what's inside completely makes up for it. ) The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Stresa's center, and has plenty of free parking

As a bonus, we were able to leave our car there for the entire day after we checked out. (And were greeted like long lost friends when we returned to pick it up!)

His dog is cute: ) If my friends ask me where to live in Stresa, I would suggest them to stay in this hotel without hesitating

Very nice private hotel with very nice personal. Good view, excellent breakfast and only complaint is because is a bit outdated. Good for couples, but also for smaller family. Recommended.

Really lovely place, the staff showed helpful, kind and friendly. We stayed in a double room with a terrace and a beautiful lake view. The room and bathroom were really well kept and clean and equipped with every comfort

They had great advice on what to do in the area and his suggestion on our second night to go to this restaurant 3V up the road in Gignese made our entire trip (best food we have ever eaten, hands down) Parking was good too and being up on the hill made for some amazing sunsets

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights on a 10 day trip through northern Italy and we loved it! It was a true mom and pop establishment with clean rooms, a great restaurant in the lobby and a gorgeous view

I really recommend this Hotel as a way of being away from the hustle and bustle of the very expensive downtown Stresa but still being close enough to get down to the lake for sightseeing

The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean, breakfast is very good. Despite being only a 2-star hotel, it is a great place to stay that deserves more stars

The buffet breakfast was quite rich. Indoor parking with convenient platforms to facilitate the arrival for the disabled. It was a wonderful holiday and we will definitely be back

Fabulous hotel in a great location. The whole of our stay was wonderful, from the fantastic breakfast, lovely pool and garden, creative and tasty evening meal courses to the staff who were incredibly kind and attentive

Pool was never too busy and the kids loved it. Would definitely recommend this for a family friendly holiday

A wonderful hotel with very nice staff. The kids had a wonderful time at the pool and the adults relaxed with a nice drink. The rooms were large and had a nice view from the balcony. The breakfast was a nice too.

We loved it, all the bar staff and waiter s were really professional and friendly. Bit of a walk into Stresa but lovely along the lake side and convenient for the boats. Only downside is the busy road is a bit noisy.

Brilliant location for exploring Stresa, the islands and getting the cable car. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Food was great and they did special meals for the children each evening

Our stay could not have been more perfect!

The local staff definitely made the experience. The food was excellent and the waitresses were so friendly. They went out of their way to help you -- one of them even looked up the weather for my family

Place is good. Near to lake and within 5 minutes walk you can catch the boat to the Isolas of Stresa.

I'd recommend the trout fillet, along with the verdure cotte. The house wine was also excellent

Breskfast a decent spread of bread, cheese, meat, cereal, fruit etc. Room 11 is large, comfortable bed, although wi-fi weak to the point of useless there and lots of TV channels didn't seem to work

All the staff are friendly and helpful, and it's spotlessly clean. Food in the restaurant good (we stayed half board) with nice simple home-cooked food, usually a fish and meat choice

The tourist menu is great value at €16 for 3 courses. It's a bit old fashioned but service was good.

Hotel itself nicely located next to the boats and cable car which is good and the walk to the town centre was 15 to 20 mins. Swimming pool was closed as the water was too cold which was disappointing

Excelent Hotel Very clean, fresh paintwork, service exceptional. Close to the mountain cable car - well worth avisit, Lido for jumping on and off the Ferries to all parts of Lake Maggiore

Young woman at reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and really was one of the most helpful cheerful people I've ever encountered at a hotel even those with 5 stars

But the hotel bar and food service were excellent, breakfast really nice and a surprise Easter egg for the kids was a nice touch

Our rooms with children were nicely located in one corner. The rooms have nice views even if the rest of the hotel doesn't

Would recomend the hotel and area to anyone- especially those interested in gardens

Breakfast was adequate, but coffee cups were small and we had to pay for extra coffee. The position is overwhelmingly fantastic and made up for small irritations.

The rooms were beautiful, colorful, bright, very well furnished, ours had a shared bathroom with another room but it worked out just the same. Excellent location, in narrow streets but close to the center

Too bad for the non-existent parking, there is only room for two cars, there is no lift, and breakfast is not served on site but in a bar along the lake

Excellent location, nice and quite clean place, the owner very kind, but on the booking it was written breakfast in the room, instead you have to go to a nearby bar and you can only take what they say

A little old-fashioned furniture, especially the bathroom, breakfast included at a nearby bar with croissants and cappuccino, nothing more
