We spent a week in this hotel in May 2024. It was a particularly important time for us, because we were getting married in Taormina and our parents and grandmothers stayed with us in the hotel. Everyone was very pleased with their stay. Beautifully located hotel with a big terrace overlooking the sea, where we enjoyed spending our time together, especially in the evenings. Rooms were spacious, clean and had a welcome gift waiting for us. The food in the restaurant was very good, and not overpriced. For breakfast, a large selection of food with freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee. But what deserves the greatest applause is the service, which was reliable, helpful and always very polite. We will be happy to return here.

Pros: beautiful sea views, comfortable bed, very good A/C, hot water, fresh towels every day, good variety at breakfast
Cons: rooms are dated and furniture looks a little dirty, you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls, music played past midnight every night we were there (Mon-Wed) and we could hear it from our room on the 4th floor, food at breakfast always tasted a little stale (fresh fruit was good however) and the coffee was bad. Toiletries in the room are weak, I highly recommend bringing or buying your own.
Neutral: elevators are small, something to note if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. Location is not convenient to the beach, but was only a ~10 minute walk from the city center. From includes a kettle and a selection of tea and instant coffee.

We had a fantastic time at the Hotel Ariston, staff are very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful, food was excellent especially the Sicily buffet well worth the money. Great pool area and lots of sunbeds.
This was our first time in Taormina and it's Beautiful . The Gardens are so lovely especially of a night time when it's all lit up, Cable car to the beach is a must amazing views, so many fantastic restaurants our favourite was Rosmarino .

Spent a week there with a small group. It was within walking distance to transportation, the village and many attractions. The rooms were clean but simple. Breakfast had many choices. Dinner in my opinion was delicious. My compliments to the waiters they were superb!

This Hotel is located within a 7 minute stroll into the heart of the centre. The views from the Hotel are stunning .The bus station is situated right on the Hotel's doorstep which is very handy for getting out and about and without the noise of the hustle and bustle.
The food during the day and drinks prices are reasonable compared to some places we have stayed. There is a great choice of food and drinks to choose from and the quality is fantastic cooked to a high standard always fresh and hot the buffet night once a week with music entertainment was just great we really enjoyed it .
Yes the hotel is dated in areas but it adds to the charm of the place its Italy 🇮🇹 why would you want coordination of bland decor and colours everywhere its traditional makes it what it is.
The pool is very deep floats are provided for use makes for a lovely relaxing float about if you are not such a great swimmer like me.
All staff were very friendly and went out of their way to speak and made our stay very relaxed .
We had an upgrade no extra charge the room was huge champagne and lovely biscuits complimentary.
Italy is just stunning people culture food drinks sightseeing the weather great for shopping beautiful beaches.
Our holiday was the best and would definitely return please do not be put off by negative comments.

I recently stayed at the Ariston Hotel in Taormina and had a mixed experience. While the hotel has some positive aspects, there are significant areas that need improvement.

Exterior and View: The hotel looks really nice from the outside. The architecture and exterior design are charming, and the restaurant and coffee place offer a beautiful view that enhances the dining experience.

Rooms: Unfortunately, the rooms are a major letdown. They appear to be from the 1800s and seem never to have been renovated. The decor is outdated and in dire need of modernization.

Amenities: One of the most surprising aspects was the lack of a TV. Instead, there was an old computer monitor about 14 inches in size, which seemed like a joke but was real. This is far below the standard for a hotel of this caliber.

Bed Quality: The bed was a disaster. It folded down in such a way that caused terrible back pain each morning. I requested a mattress change, and while the staff did accommodate this, the replacement mattress was just as bad. It seems all mattresses are broken and sink when you lie down, making for an uncomfortable sleep.

Customer Service: The most concerning issue was with the pool staff. There was a man with tattoos who was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. His primary job was to hand out towels and cards, but he often seemed annoyed by these simple requests. His attitude was unwelcoming and made our time at the pool less enjoyable.

Summary: While the Ariston Hotel has potential with its beautiful exterior and scenic restaurant views, the outdated rooms, poor bed quality, lack of proper amenities, and unprofessional pool staff overshadow these positives. I would not recommend this hotel unless these significant issues are addressed.

The hotel is clean and convenient, though a bit dated. The garden with the restaurant and swimming pool area are the focal point- simply beautiful- you feel the riviera flair! The access to the hotel is a bit strange- either through a very steep and tiny street which was a bit challenging if you have a big car, or through an initially macabre entrance right over the public bus station?! which then goes through the beautiful gardens (and kind of compensates for the gloomy first part). Other than that the staff were very nice, the location is convenient and the views to the sea are beautiful. The breakfast was also very good. There is an option to reserve a parking spot on a nearby parking lot, which was very convenient!

Lovely hotel with fabulous views! Perfect location to explore beautiful Taormina and the proximity to the bus terminal and cable cars, makes it easy to visit surrounding areas.
My room with a balcony and sea view was very comfortable with all amenities, including safe and a complimentary mini bar. Plus, the door key was much preferred to an often temperamental electronic card.
The staff were all friendly, but special thanks to Antonella and Daniele as their help and welcoming smiles made all the difference and were much appreciated. Thank you 😊

The hotel Ariston is a lovely quiet hotel situated away from the main centre of Taormina. It only takes a few minutes to walk to the centre and is ideally situated to reach all areas of interest. The hotel itself is dated but clean and tidy. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful however the bar staff seem to pick and choose who they want to serve and when. It was a little annoying.
The pool area was lovely and the views from the terrace were stunning.
If you book a sea view room, you will get a small balcony (enough to stand on, not sit) with a fabulous view. If you book a standard room you may find yourself looking directly into a rock wall! So if a view is important to you don’t book the standard room.

The hotel is comfortably located right behind the central bus station of Taormina and provides a direct access to it. The public gardens are easily accessible from the hotel too and the center of Taormina is a 10-minute stroll from it.
It has an amazing view towards Isola Bella.
In terms of facilities, the hotel has a parking (reservation is needed) and a swimming pool. The latter however is quite deep with 2.4 meters being the shallowest spot.
The hotel breakfast was relatively good and variable.
The hotel staff was friendly and polite.
The general feeling is s that the hotel hasn’t been refurbished since the 80’s. The rooms are comfy. The mattress was firm, which was okay, but the pillows were way too soft.
The bathroom however definitely needs renovation with some black dirt (hopefully not mold) falling down from the ceiling and a shower cabin that doesn’t close properly.
