We stayed at the Splendid hotel for 7 nights and couldn't have been more pleased! From their front desk staff, to their pool bar, rooms and excursions planner Allesandria, we enjoyed every minute! Our family of 18 arrived and the staff could not have been more accommodating even ending our stay with a Sicilian BBQ and live music! We travel often and would give this hotel 10 stars if we could!

I had a room with an amazing view. The room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the sea

There is no doubt about it this hotel was fantastic! From the spectacular views of the hillsides and coast, the beautifully decorated rooms and interiors, the delicious food and drinks and the heart of it all… the staff! The service here was just next level! Thank you Giuseppe Martina and Mimmo for taking the best care us! We enjoyed our stay so much we had to extend it as we were not ready to leave

I was with a group and they forgot to give me my main course at dinner… and they had to make it later so I ate after everyone else. They were nice enough about it… but maybe a free drink would have been good :)

The shower is also quite small and the opening to get in and out of it is tiny and awkward to squeeze through. The pool area is so small and is impossible to get sunbeds after 11am

Very clean and modern decor (even nicer in person than the pics show online), great location (you can get everywhere in 10 mins or less on foot), amazing staff (friendly, helpful) at front desk, pool bar, and breakfast, delicious cocktails, beautiful views from the pool and restaurant, comfortable beds, and more! Highly recommend! Can't wait to come back!!

Missing equipment, broken toilet seat, very loud room (the hotel is surrounded by the busiest road around). Close to the city centre. Breakfast good.

I didn't live in the hotel, but visited a beauty parlour in Spa. I made a manicure and pedicure here and was satisfied with the result, although it was not the best one, which I ever had

I am satisfied with the hair cut , it was professional and stylish. The place is clean and answers the requirements against Covid 19. Masks and distancing are used by staff and clients

They agreed to finish the work if I come another day, but I didn't want again to spend my whole day in salon. Anyway , they did what they could and I can not blame them for the result

Was a wonderful paradise for us… the staff and hotel overall was amazing. Very welcoming environment, beautiful resort. The beach is a private beach with bar services. The town around it is also gorgeous

I very much enjoyed staying here for a week. The private beach access and pool areas were very good. The only reason for a 4 star review was the breakfast wasn’t what one would expect at this price point.

Lovely hotel with good service and amenities. The location is right on the beach in its own small cove. The room seemed a bit outdated, but I suppose it adds to the charm of the hotel

There is a rooftop area that is open most of the time: The hotel serves a wonderful breakfast buffet that includes menu items made to order and a selection of coffee. There is also an Honesty Bar on the rooftop at night

This a wonderful, small, boutique hotel. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They will assist in getting tickets for events, calling cabs, and giving input on sights and restaurants

The hotel is in a great location for people watching, shopping, and dining. The rooms are smallish but very sweet. Our stay was very pleasant and we did not want to leave!

We had lunch at the restaurant and every dish were amazing. I had the special nhoques of the day and a yogurt mousse with raspberry as desert. The tuna tartar was something unique. I heavily recommend it!

Next to the Greek Amphitheater! The views, gardens and service are all spectacular. They have 3 restaurants including a Michelin star

Amazing place and really amazing private beach and pool. The food in the restaurant is amazing and really delicious... if we expect something new and amazing for a 5 stars you should definitely go there.

A lack of concern by the staff for two issues we raised. It did take a few hours for the manager to react but when he did his actions were above and beyond

Love this place! I can't imagine anything more romantic than strolling through a flower-filled garden, dining at their world-class restaurant (vegan and gluten-free menu, y'all, I mean homemade vegan basil mayonnaise and creamy pasta!), right above the beach!

and the bathroom was the worst the toilet seat was literally built in a stupid way where you can’t move your legs freely and the whole bathroom is tight! But the hotel’s location is amazing everything was good except the room and the fact that there’s a public beach infront of our room which was noisy and loud

We came for 10 days and although we didn't stay overnight we used the beach club. It made our holiday perfect! Stunning setting, fantastic cocktails and food. but it was the quality of service that made it

The rooms are small but cozy with a nice little seating area outside though little mosquitos will attack you by sunset. Breakfast is generous with a wide selection of items & customized eggs anyway you'd like

Stayed one week as part of a Road Scholar tour. View of Mt. Etna from the roof top bar and restaurant is superb. Daily breakfasts are amazing. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Definitely will return.

I would recommend this hotel for stay as it is located in very center, and you can enjoy view to Etna on your breakfasts. As we had birthday they also upgraded our room which made our stay even more memorable

The only thing is that doors in rooms are not well isolated, so you can hear easily noises in the hall and even winds. I would recommend to stay in renovated rooms with the view and balcony as it is amazing

Parking can be a challenge in Taormina, as it has limited spaces, but the hotel provides a convenient solution. While there's no on-site parking, the reception offers parking for an additional daily fee

Enjoying a sunset there with a glass of prosecco or a cold pint and a bowl of local olives is truly priceless. The service is excellent, and the rooms, though small, are cozy and well-maintained

The pool was not the biggest but my kids enjoyed it - the beach is just down the hill so that makes up for it , 20 min walking time including the lift/gondol

First time in Taormina with 3 kids (12,6,6) and from what I could read is the location of the hotel is important unless walking up/down stairs is part of your vacay plans

The room was very spacious and clean, and booking through American Express allowed us a great upgrade with a pool facing balcony

The staff are lovely and the breakfast buffet was excellent, with options to order items additional to the plenty options that are provided. I probably gained a couple of kilos here 😂

Parking is available through an additional service provided by the hotel. A guy comes and parks your car and when you need it, you simply tell reception and he will bring it up

Magnificent views from the sea facing rooms and the sun terrace. A free shuttle takes you up to Taormina old town

Mind that there is no beach nearby and using the ones the hotel takes you to is expensive

This is now a 5 star hotel. Excellent service and appointments and a beautiful outdoor beeakfast patio with tremendous views. The only note is it has a 10 min walk uphill into the main street of Taormina.

2nd visit with 10 years apart. Still going strong. Most romantic dinner terass ever!!! Great food and service. Will definitely come back, hopefully in less then ten years.

Friendly staff, great views and nice cocktails. Checkout the spa - it rained when we arrived so had a Turkish bath and a sauna - the world put to right again

If you are looking for a bright sparkly modern hotel this is not place for you. I had looked at this place when planning my trip to sicily and it ticked numerous boxes. % mins from the beach and the cable car and parking

Well located between 5-10 mins walk from the famous isola Bella. They offer a private beach deal with shuttle service very nice. WiFi is okay not the greatest and same with room, maybe a bit overpriced

Down stairs is a large reception and bar area with outdoor seating and the dining room the predominant color being yellow, All the staff are older end and the service is excellent almost military precision at breakfast they move around like choreographed dancers making sure food is stocked replenished/ tables cleared and reset so people dont have to wait

It's very easy to take the cable car to Taormina that's 5min walk away. We would spend days on the beautiful beach Isola Bella and go to dinner to Taormina. It was the most perfect holiday

The rooms were cleaned every day and bedding was changed twice in our 10 days, towels when needed. On the roof is a terrace area with sun beds and a small swimming pool

Rooms are a bit old but very clean and the views from the balcony are insane to the Taormina Mare. Love to just sit on our balcony and enjoy them in the evenings. Really worth it to stay here!

The hotel has it's own beach area and provides sunbeds, umbrellas, and towels. It's an 800m walk along the (mostly pathless) road to the Funiva (cable car) and the majority of the bars and restaurants

This charming vintage hotel is all about its beautiful, quiet location directly at the beach. All rooms have full sea view and A/C, you take meals on an iconic terrace to the beach

From the terrace it’s only a few stairs down to the private sandy beach with complimentary sun beds and towels. Service is very attentive, keeping everything very clean and tidy

Great beach area & restaurant is good for food and drinks. Whilst restaurant prices are on par the rental costs for sunbeds is extortionate- £30!

The hotel itself is old and its charming vintage style carefully maintained, so expect to make a few compromises with the rooms, e. there are real room keys and water pressure in the showers is a bit low

The breakfast was a little disappointing, there was no raw ham and only one kind of salami. In summary, this hotel is highly recommended, we‘ve been there three times and always enjoyed it very much

The property is located in a great area with private beach access. It is also a few minutes walk from the cable car station that takes you to the main town. Isola Bella is also about 10 minutes walk away

The hotel is a short walk to the cable car to upper Taormina, a great alternative to driving up the mountain

In July I booked a Junior suite with premium sea view for myself and my family. I think it was a King bed with 2 singles, I Wasn't sure what to expect

After travelling around for two weeks it was a pleasure to spend 4 nights here. The hotel is in an excellent position and 5 mins away from town. We had a fantastic view of the water and Mount Etna

This was the highlight of our holiday and highly recommend any one to stay here

Swimming pool clean and adequate. Best thing is the private beach and comfortable free twin sunloungers. Only downers are no coffee/tea provided and the 3 euro charge for beach towels

It has 2 shops in 20m that had a big variety of products. The staff is helpful and nice. It is a very good place to stay. Close to Taormina and closer to the beaches

It is a very clean and well located hotel. The view of his restaurant is amazing and the menu really surprised us. I ate the best parmegiana there. It is 1 minute from Funivia and 4 min to Isola Bella

Although nice and clean, there is only a tiny single cupboard for clothes which doesn't have enough space for one person let alone two so our clothes are still in our cases! The only drawer space is one small one in each bedside table

Not what we were expecting considering the amount we paid (first week in May). We booked a 'superior double room' which is quite small and for some reason has a third single bed taking up room

The hotel is clean, modern & well equipped with a terrace bar & roof top pool. Only a 2 minute walk from the beautiful Isola Bella beach (5 minutes to get back - man those stairs are steep) it's ideal for sun lounging

Housekeeping are great, breakfast is a good variety & nothing is too much trouble for the team; up to loaning us beach towels for the day. All round a great base for a great holiday & highly recommended

Position: I think the accommodations near Viila Comunale have the best position because are halfway between the old city and the beach

Starting from the beautiful design of the cappuccino cups, beautiful big room with the best view of Taormina and finishing with very nice people that work in this hotel… everything is amazing here! The vibe, the pool are amazing here… the best cappuccino made by Giuseppe and the best pizza made by Andrea! The lady from the desk very nice and very helpful as well! I’m so sorry we didn’t stay longer...

The terrace views are unbelievably beautiful and we can spend lots of time in the hotel, without the crowns, and still have better views. The hotel is on the side with Etna, the moon rising can be seen from the balcony

The room was basic but lovely with a mini bar, seats, everything we needed really and a large window that opened as well as the door out. Lovely space to relax and read or chill either inside the room or on the balcony

Gorgeous fresh fruit, salad, cakes, meats and cheese for breakfast. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Just a few minutes walk down the steps into the main road of town. We had the best week here and recommend 100%

This hotel was not plush but it was lovely. Balconies were generous with views out over towards Catania, Etna and the Taormina bay
