Beautiful hotel. I had a room with an amazing view. The room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the sea. Nothing to complain about. I was with a group and they forgot to give me my main course at dinner… and they had to make it later so I ate after everyone else. They were nice enough about it… but maybe a free drink would have been good :)

There is no doubt about it this hotel was fantastic! From the spectacular views of the hillsides and coast, the beautifully decorated rooms and interiors, the delicious food and drinks and the heart of it all… the staff! We stayed at the Splendid hotel for 7 nights and couldn't have been more pleased! From their front desk staff, to their pool bar, rooms and excursions planner Allesandria, we enjoyed every minute! Our family of 18 arrived and the staff could not have been more accommodating even ending our stay with a Sicilian BBQ and live music! We travel often and would give this hotel 10 stars if we could!

Located just outside of the town so not overly touristy. Staff and rooms were nice too. Breakfast had a good selection of food every morning. We experienced a very warm welcome by the staff at the front office as well as the room maid and the waitress at breakfast, which by the way was really yammy.

FANTASTIC view from room 432, a junior suite perfect for our family of four. Great service. The hotel has its age, but that's part of the charm. The pool is super, also with the most amazing views. Great to have a drink or coffee and watch the kids playing and the ocean below. The carpet on the stairs needs to be replaced but is completely worn out.

It was really a great experience to stay at Hotel Villa Sonia. Spacy rooms with a awesome view to the old lady, Etna. Wonderful breakfast, and buses just outside the door witch drives to the center of Taormina in less than 25 minutes. Not the last time, me and my wife will stay at Villa Sonia. Excellent!

Outstanding views and fabulous hilltop location within a few minutes walk of the historic Castelmola with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Truly amazing. You take an elevator down to a cave which on one side has an opening with a beach with views of Isola Bella and on the other side of the cave you have an infinity pool with views of the coast and Etna. Been to many places in the world but nothing can beat that. On top of that, the rooms are great and they have good breakfast you can enjoy with views of the coast and Etna.

Well located between 5-10 mins walk from the famous isola Bella. Great restaurants nearby. They offer a private beach deal with shuttle service very nice. WiFi is okay not the greatest and same with room, maybe a bit overpriced. I only had breakfast included it was mostly bread and cereals, not too many options.

Best place with amazing, frendly staff and superb views!! The location is also perfect since there are all the needed services near: restaurants, atm, mini markets. It's very easy to take the cable car to Taormina that's 5min walk away. We would spend days on the beautiful beach Isola Bella and go to dinner to Taormina. It was the most perfect holiday. I can't praise the customer service enough here...

We can read lots of positive and negative critics for this hotel. I just left this hotel after a stay of 10 days and would like to bring some objectivity. The ratio price / quality / luxury is in the local market range. Of course, this is in reality not (anymore?) a four star hotel if you compare with northern European countries. I really enjoyed my stay here. Many thanks to the staff for making my holiday special. Reception lady Yulia was the most helpful, housekeeping and the bar/beach staff did their best too. Unfortunately we were disappointed. On ONE positive note, it is walkable to all sites in Taormino. The negative is that you must climb a fairly steep hill to enter or exit the hotel. There is no transportation to get you to the top of the hill each time you leave. The rooms are clean, but the hotel is not as well-maintained as we expected. The pool area is just average, very little special about it...

The lobby looks freshly renovated and it is very beautiful. The pool has been renovated recently and it looks really nice, also the bar area is cosy. But unfortunately the bottom of the swimmingpool is dirty, leaves, ground and sand some umbrells are torn... It is a very clean and well located hotel. The view of his restaurant is amazing and the menu really surprised us. I ate the best parmegiana there. It is 1 minute from Funivia and 4 min to Isola Bella. It has 2 shops in 20m that had a big variety of products. The staff is helpful and nice. It is a very good place to stay.
