When you are in such a beautiful location you don’t want to be spending time inside, you want to be on the beach or exploring the town

We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area

We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella

Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish

The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect

The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle

By far the best part of staying at the Mazzaro Sea Palace was the superior caliber of the staff--front desk, restaurant wait staff, room keeping, pool and beach attendants, maintenance staff, concierge, and bell hops

Wow, what an amazing place… From the courteous welcome when you arrive, to the jaw dropping view of the bay, to the friendliest and most helpful people all day, every day, the most idyllic and delicious breakfast spot, to the beautiful beach, it’s all a fantastic place to relax and enjoy

you can see beautiful view from the room and meet very kind hotel stuffs. we loved especially breakfast we had in front of beach. when we asked room services, our room phone did not answer.

My wife and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Mazzaro sea Palace. We were captivated by everything about the resort, but most notably the superior quality of the staff

The twice-daily room service ensured that it remained that way throughout our stay. We loved our private balcony where we could read, listen to music, and just absorb our beautiful, sunny, and warm environs

The dinner menu was first class, the food delicious, wine selection excellent. We were ably assisted in planning reasonably-priced day excursions to locations of interest outside of Taormina

There you can avail of a free parasol and 2 free beds. Towels cost €3 each if you don't have towels. The beach is shingle & pebbles and hard to walk on. The current is VERY strong and the gradient is very steep

NOT a beach that is suitable for children. A lifeguard watches over people bathing, but you could be swept away in the blink of an eye the current is so strong. We loved our stay here and will definitely be returning

We had a choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts, breads, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and sweet pastries. The only fault was the coffee machines were always breaking down

The hotel has a beautiful pool and guest towels are provided. If you prefer to go to the beach you can pay €3 each to travel by mini bus (holds 8 passengers) to Caparena Lido

We loved the fact that this hotel was full of 'oldie worldie' character. We didn't mind that the antique carpets were worn in places. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean

They provided shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer & safety deposit box. The Breakfast buffet was delicious

Just got back from a wonderful stay at this amazing hotel, It is stunning!!! Food was excellent, staff could not do enough for you, lots of Lovley touches, Would highly recommend staying here, The pool area is beautiful, rooms are spacious and comfortable

Visited the Four Seasons Hotel for dinner, and it did not disappoint! There was a great singer in the court yard which just set a great vibe for the evening. The little canapés given with the wine were tasty

Swimming pool and chilling area around cover by D&G so very nice

Although my room was on the smaller side and in direct line of sight to a restaurant balcony, the view was still spectacular. Even the bathroom had a great view

Stunning property great resort great vibe for corporate retreat. Walking distance to the little town and shops. Definitely a place I would like to return to

The Staff was super friendly and accommodating and the property itself is superb, however I think so much more can be done to the courtyard

This Hotel was a perfect location for me. Close to the town either using bus(a short walk to stop) or cable car(the same short walk) & beaches especially Isabella. The hotel has its own roof terrace with its own pool

The Hotel is a little tired in places but there is a certain charm about the place. All staff were very friendly & helpful. Helpful for planning bus journeys. I would definitely recommend staying here

It's very easy to take the cable car to Taormina that's 5min walk away. We would spend days on the beautiful beach Isola Bella and go to dinner to Taormina. It was the most perfect holiday

Well located between 5-10 mins walk from the famous isola Bella. They offer a private beach deal with shuttle service very nice. WiFi is okay not the greatest and same with room, maybe a bit overpriced

Rooms are a bit old but very clean and the views from the balcony are insane to the Taormina Mare. Love to just sit on our balcony and enjoy them in the evenings. Really worth it to stay here!

I can't praise the customer service enough here, always friendly and helpful and very professional. Loved everyone working here and they made a big positive impact on our holiday

There's souvenir shops and a mini mart within 4 minutes walk and the cable car is also only 5 minutes away. My husband and I enjoyed the pool and the views

Very nice hotel located just outside Taormina, nevertheless 10 min Walk to the city centre. The pool with its fantastic view on the sea is the strong point of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautiful: it had a classic Italian feel with great views. The location was fantastic, the pool was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a last minute change with my husband and my father (52, and 83) to Taormina and so it was a challenge with very little prep time where to stay in a vertical place with my elderly father who is in good shape but challenged by long walks, inclines and extreme heat

We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning before leaving. No one could be more helpful or nicer in this hotel. CONS: It's a steep driveway to climb up and down for the elderly

We did it all-- close to the bus station (4 minutes), Corso Umberto (8 minutes), the Antico Teatrico and the view cannot be beat

Top service, super mega friendly staff. Don't miss breakfast on the fantastic terrace overlooking the sea and bay. All fresh local produce is served a la carte for breakfast. Not cheap, but very, very beautiful place

Perfect in every way! This hotel is situated perfectly in Taormina. Gorgeous setting, incredible staff, wonderful rooms, fantastic private garden and unmatched views of the sea and Mount Etna

I stayed here for a long weekend in April and it was beyond amazing! The staff was so lovely, the sea-view room was stunning and everything was great

Especially I lost my tennis bracelet in the room and the team found it and mailed it back next - I could not be more grateful for that! Will return and recommend this to anyone! Such a pleasure to spent a lovely weekend there!

Breakfast had many options and was delicious. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. Marco and Gabriel treated us like family, they were always available if we needed anything

A whole group of us stayed here last week for a Photoshoot. Francesco and his family could not have made us more welcome, and no request was too much trouble. We were here for work, but the beach is just 100m away

There is also a fantastic view of the bay and the Italian mainland. I stayed in room 7 which was very nicely decorated with some very nice design features. I'd just like to say Prego and Ciao

Always time for a small talk, jokes and laughter. Hotel room is clean and they have a extensive breakfast. Nice terras where you can sit and see the sea. 5 min walk to the public garden where you can hangout and relax

The hotel is very well located: close to a bus station, centre, amazing sea & Etna view! Management and staff are very friendly and helpful! WiFi reception isn’t that good, but if it’s a need - they told me that it’s a good reception in common areas

Breakfast is OK, but cappuccino & croissant are pretty nice;) It’s also a nice walk to the Isola Bella beach, it takes around 30 minutes to come down, but surroundings are so beautiful so that this time isn’t noticed

Especially the location is perfect! Just outside the centre of Taormina and close to a lovely and beautiful park. The service is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The view is breathtakingly beautiful

There are steps up there but if it's open seriously take the cable car! Highly recommend the rooms with a sea view balcony. I'll let the photos speak for themselves :)

Room is clean and everything you need. It perfect just over the street to the beach. Via cable car you can drive up to the town. They coul only add fruits to the breakfast. For vegans it's nearly nothing

Great hotel, great price, friendly staff. Stones throw from the beach at Marazzo'. Really close to Funivar (cable car) to the top of the hill

It's a on a cliff beautiful place the view is breathtaking.

No private parking, was offered a parking voucher for €14/day but managed to find a parking spot in front of the cable car station which is next door for €10

From the moment you walk in, you're treated with the best attention from the receptionists and the owner. The view of the sea and Mount Etna is splendid. Everything is very, very good

It was a pleasant stay, the hotel is well located between the sea and the city center, it is accessible and the staff speaks several languages ​​which makes communication easier!

Great Hotel, perfect location, minutes from the centre, yards from a wonderful garden. Typical Italian B&B hotel, we were lucky to upgrade to a really nice room with fantastic views over the bay

All nice, pity that it seems like an old glory, with a little attention it could become a glory again. However for the price paid and the location we could not have wished for better.

It said that I would find the keys to the room in the door, but they were not there!!! My sleepy brain could only think of going down to the empty reception and picking up the keys from there

Nice hotel! I had a very late check-in after they closed the reception. Very strange! I chose a hotel with a 24/7 reception! They left me a note with detailed instructions on the hotel door

Hotel Caparena was very nice with clean rooms and great staff, we had a lovely time in Toamina! The shuttle bus was excellent we used it every day a special thank you to Salvatore, Pipo and drivers! The restaurant staff were amazing especially Nadine, Andrea, Adriano not to mention the rest of the gang! Lots of love Maria & Martin XxX

We stayed at the Caparena the last week of April, the hotel is taken care of down to the smallest details, large and very clean rooms. Direct access to the beach with the possibility of taking sunbeds and umbrellas

The free shuttle into town and back must be reserved in advance so if you plan to use this service on the day/evening of your check in, you should call ahead to be added to the schedule

Slightly out of the main part of Taormina so its a cab ride or shuttle bus into the main part of town. Good sized pool which is gently heated and a pleasure to swim in

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old

Unfortunately the rooftop restaurant was closed when we were there in mid May, which was a little disappointing considering it is a major draw, but there are so many places around Taormina that its not difficult to find alternatives

My wife and I stayed here to cap off a two week trip to Italy and had an amazing experience. We arrived late in the evening and were immediately met with the warmest welcome by Alberto at the front desk

Reservations, recommendations, drivers and cabs. Wait staff, front desk, guest services. All top notch with a smile and in English. Steps from the Corso but quiet

I wish it was more publicized beforehand though. We had an ocean view deluxe room (or something like that), which was modern and comfortable with a balcony that had a great view

He always made sure we were taken care of whether it was making reservations at local restaurants, or just ensuring we had everything we needed at the hotel

The pool was not the biggest but my kids enjoyed it - the beach is just down the hill so that makes up for it , 20 min walking time including the lift/gondol

The location of the hotel is very good, the facility is built into the mountain. The view is fantastic, unfortunately the staff is not very helpful. The rooms were not very clean, there was dust.

the location and view of the hotel is amazing. Close to the centre, and an amazing view over the ocean. However the big reason for the low score was the fact that there was no airconditioning

Really cute hotel the balconies look straight to the pool and the sea. It has a beautiful atmosphere. There's towel service at the pool. There's no access to the beach but that's okay

My partner and I took a late year trip to Sicily and without a doubt this hotel was half of reason we loved our experience. Extremely helpfully staff and great service including our breakfast and the pool

Nice hotel, placed opposite to the beach and near to the cable - the shortest way to the old town. Kind staff, clean rooms, beautiful view from the restaurant and the terrace

Basic but fine for a base every things on the door step. Acces to the beach cable cars some shops few eatery’s. We were lucky had a beach view

The newer building, with spectacular sea view, is accessed by some additional 100 stair steps up the steep slope

I don't understand why people say that the hotel was old and crumbling. I think it was great and clean.

The air conditioning was silent, with an inverter motor. The glass doors also acoustically isolated the sound of the sea and the street and I had no problem sleeping

The room was basic but lovely with a mini bar, seats, everything we needed really and a large window that opened as well as the door out. Lovely space to relax and read or chill either inside the room or on the balcony

Gorgeous fresh fruit, salad, cakes, meats and cheese for breakfast. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Just a few minutes walk down the steps into the main road of town. We had the best week here and recommend 100%

This hotel was not plush but it was lovely. Balconies were generous with views out over towards Catania, Etna and the Taormina bay

The hotel is clean, modern & well equipped with a terrace bar & roof top pool. Only a 2 minute walk from the beautiful Isola Bella beach (5 minutes to get back - man those stairs are steep) it's ideal for sun lounging

Housekeeping are great, breakfast is a good variety & nothing is too much trouble for the team; up to loaning us beach towels for the day. All round a great base for a great holiday & highly recommended

The heat worked well (which was important in December). We stayed in the jacuzzi room - which was discounted because we booked at the last minute during the off-season

Stayed for 4 nights in a jacuzzi room with garden. Really nice clean room, great service. Because it was low season the bar and restaurant were not open but it’s just a short walk into town

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish! We arrived a little early and our room wasn’t ready yet, so we had drinks in the bar by reception. The room was beautiful and very clean

We could never work out if it was other guests or housekeeping making all the noise. People would also smoke in the downstairs foyer so we’d be greeted to that smell when we came out of our room too

Every morning first thing it sounded like furniture was being scraped around above us and then there would be talking/shouting outside our room

The rooms are nice and cute, but quite small - but all you need! The balcony is a pearl, with a beautiful view over the sea! The breakfast is served in the cute inner yard and is a buffet with fresh fruit, yoghurt and different types of bread

Nice hotel some hundred meters from central street of Taormina. Mauro is most helpful with answering and suggesting local restaurants. Listen to him! Our room was on the top with great sea view to east

If you wish to go to the beach they arrange day trips (for a small fee) to a beach close by

The villa Astoria is a clean and well maintained hotel. You get a good breakfast which can be eaten outside in the courtyard and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly

The property is located in a great area with private beach access. It is also a few minutes walk from the cable car station that takes you to the main town. Isola Bella is also about 10 minutes walk away

An excellent breakfast is included and featured Italian meats and cheese, scrambled eggs, assorted breads, pastries, and fresh fruit. They also serve an optional dinner (for hotel guests only) on a lovely terrace

We enjoyed our stay during our trip to Taormina. Angelo and Gianluca were friendly, wonderful hosts. We stayed in a "superior room" which was spacious and comfortable

The hotel is a short walk to the cable car to upper Taormina, a great alternative to driving up the mountain

The hosts stored our luggage before and after check out which was a bonus. Great comfortable rooms at a great price! We will be back!
