Ca' Bonfadini Historic Experience

Lovely boutique hotel, lots of thoughts, ideas & details built-into the rooms, hotel decor, toiletries etc. whilst we stayed for 3 nights in Room 302/302 in November. Overall service was awesome especially by & the lovely front-office, house-keeping & restaurant staff! Even the location was reasonably good, quiet & just minutes from commercial areas which were relatively near the train station on main Cannaregio. Also, a mere 15mins walk to Rialto bridge & St Marks square via a maze off shops. It also has a jetty for private taxi usage beside the entrance. We loved this hotel & it definitely has added to the allure of Venice, the city as a whole!

I honestly don't even know where to start. the staff was amazing, the location and spacious rooms were absolutely gorgeous.
the breakfast was amazing with a wide variety. I would've liked a room that has a street view but I'm definitely coming back here and I couldn't recommend this enough for anyone who wants to visit Venice

This review would have been 5 stars were it not for the mix-up with us booking the deluxe frescoed suite.

Upon arrival we were taken to a room 106 which looked nothing at all like the room we had booked based on their website. In the morning we were advised that the room we saw on the website was room 210. Both of these rooms fit the same category however in my opinion the room is so drastically different in decor that I think they need to make it much clearer that you may get room 106 instead of 210 (the two rooms in this category).

106 is slightly larger in terms of floor space however I was booking this hotel based on the gorgeous room (210) I saw on their website. If I knew I would get the room we got I wouldn't have booked there. The hotel is very expensive and I think if you're paying around $4000AUD for 3 nights then you should get exactly what you see when you book it.

In my opinion Ca Bonfidini should provide images of both rooms in the Deluxe Frescoed Suite section of their website or even better to put the two rooms as separate options for booking.

The way things are now is simply setting up their visitors for disappointment and themselves for drama handling upset customers.

It is a 4 stars hotel. The room is sparkling clean. It is a very dated decor despite a new renovation. Very comfortable and quite. Excellent breakfast.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Complimentary cocktails upon arrival. Helpful staff. The junior suite was HUGE and clean. The location was impeccable. It was like having your own private canal that hardly anyone went down but was a short walk to the train station and the main attractions. Close to the vaporettos too. The breakfast is unbelievable. They have buffet breakfast items plus they give you a menu if you want to order complimentary food.

This is the best place to enjoy Venice.

I have to add off course my thanks to the staff in the restaurant. It was such a beautiful experience enjoying breakfast in front of the hotel at the canale. The breakfast was extraordinary and very creative.
And it was a great pleasure being served with great kindness.

The room is so clean and the bed sheet is replaced everyday. They also give you 10% discount on department stores with luxury lounge of free coffee at the shopping mall. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel with great service!!

Great hotel ! Very luxurious & customer service is superb! It started raining during my stay and they offered an umbrella which was handy! Everyone went above and beyond to satisfy me! The hotel is right next to canal so if you take a private speed boat from VCE you can get dropped off right at your hotel, great experience!!!! However on 2 occasions I was charged for things I didn’t pay for, the first time it happened they admitted mistake the second time it happened it was my last day and it was for only $15 so I just paid it and left as I didn’t feel like dealing with it

Amazing hotel. Everything is brand new and truly luxurious, with an excellent blend of technology and tradition. A hidden gem, in one of the most authentic areas of Venice.
