Inexpensive accomodations in Venice

Cons: very narrow flight of stairs and no elevator, view from the room was just other roof tops and the worst thing for me were the exposed wood beams that made the room feel dingy

I believe I did see at least one insect there as well. Also it was really far from every other place we needed to see

The location and the owners are awesome. The room was very clean and had the basic necessities (air con).

Pros: very close to the train station, free WiFi, newly remodeled bathroom with a glimpse of a waterway from the window

Overall, a basic, clean room within easy distance from food and tourist attractions. My only negative is that the walls are paper thin so, if anyone comes in late, they will definitely wake you up

There's quite a few restaurants and cafes about a minute's walk away from the hotel which are convenient and the rialto bridge and St Marks Square aren't too far away

It is literally right around the corner from the most amazing Cafe (we think it’s THE spot as all the gondola drivers were there each morning we went + locals)! Plus, it is a short walk to St Mark Square

We stayed here for two nights and had an enjoyable stay. The AC was nice and cold which was perfect after walking around all day. The room and bathroom were clean and maintained well

Fantastic hotel in stunning Venice. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is very easy to get to like most places in Venice. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent experience, the front desk is beneficial, and outstanding in value when you stay in Venice, I will definitely come back and choose this hotel in future

It was a good choice considering its excellent access to the La Fenice Theatre and the fact that it felt natural to stay there, which is rare in Italy.

We arrived at the Opia Hotel on the morning of March 18. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the train station. When we arrived at the hotel, it was already check-in time

The guy at the front desk took the initiative to store our luggage for us. When we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, he helped us deliver our luggage to the room. The hotel's breakfast was rich and varied

It's close to Piazza Roma! They're used to tourists, so they're happy to answer any questions you may have

Breakfast: really good choices, things that I (an asian) can eat! As I am not very crazy with european breakfast buffets, but here was a table full of stuff I actually love to eat! And 3 choices of yummy morning juices

My husband still had his tray on his table while eating, the staff kindly removed the tray so my husband can eat comfortably and with extra class! Just the little gestures from the food service was super nice! And heavenly garden outside to eat in the morning

Thanks to ot being 3 minute walk from San Marco Square, we could leave early in the morning before breakfast, go take a look around and take some pictures, and come back to eat something

We totally enjoyed breakfast every morning, which was served in the Hotel Violino D'Oro, around the corner (also where one goes to check-in). Rooms are clean, with small refrigerator and a safe

The air conditioning had been shut off and the heat was on in the room. We tried to get this rectify and the concierge gave us a fan for the duration of our stay which helped immensely

Their breakfast is very good, it is served in a nearby hotel less than a minute away. We spent our anniversary there, and received a bottle of prosecco, which was a pleasant surprise

Our experience with our stay at the Hotel Anastasia was great. The room was clean and welcoming. Our morning breakfast was in the sister hotel next door and was very enjoyable

The location of the hotel was close to San Marcos Square and the water "bus". Only negative was that our trip was in October but the weather was unseasonably warm

On our last day we were able to leave our luggage without a charge and he let us sit in the breakfast room to cool off, let us use the WC and even offered us a free coffee. what more could you ask? Brilliant service

Booked through Easyjet room only but the manager is so obliging he offers everyone staying a free continental breakfast. You are given keys and an access code for the doors so you can come and go as you please

It's in a great location, less than 10 mins from St Marks Square, has a few local restaurants/cafes/bars within 2 mins walk. It is very quiet at night so had great sleep

It was clean and had a little bathroom, storage space, fridge, a coffee machine and a free safe and was cleaned every day

If we ever come to Venice again we would definitely stay here again

This hotel was perfect. Location close to station and easy access to main paths. But also super quiet at night. Breakfast was also great and had lots of options. Will stay here again for sure.

Really convenient location near the train station and ferries. Appears newly renovated, modern and clean. The room was a bit small with minimal area for bags to be opened

Location, staff are fanatic. Just we stay in level 1 and there were noisy from outside. But great price. I’ll stay there again when I visit Venice

The air conditioner was centrally controlled and therefore the temperature of the room could not be adjusted

However, the light was still not working on the second day, which made us question why they would assign a room with broken fixtures to guests.   Secondly, the shower area was poorly designed

One of the best hostels i've stayed in! Great location, comfortable beds, lockers with locks, nice bathrooms, a kitchen with some staple ingredients available for guests to use, and even a small tea station set up for 24 hour use

Really nice hostel to spend the night, it has AC in the room which is a must with the 40c venice weather. Has a lot of open space to sit around, play some football or just chill in the grass

Staff also gave great recommendations! glad i chose to stay here while visiting Venice, highly recommend to any and all hostel-stayers! Great price for the value, would stay here again!

The location is good, it was easy to find just next to Paolo Sabri. Close to main street, attractions, and supermarket. You can store your luggage after check out for free

They have a huge fully equipped clean kitchen, a large beautiful garden to hang out, and free cold ananas and grapefruit juices. The staff is very helpful and friendly

I booked my room from their website and stayed on the third floor, there was no elevator, and ac available, only a ventilator and windows which were fine

For breakfast there were croissants, bagels, bacon, ham, eggs, chocolate cakes, milk, butter, cheese etc - everything tasty and fresh. Staff was nice at arrival and in the morning they even served us coffee and tea

Nice, tiny hotel in the heart of Venice. Rooms are small but tidy & clean. The breakfast buffet is small too, but sufficient for the start in the day. The personal is super friendly and overall welcoming

Hotel room was small double room on the first floor with comfort double bed. Bathroom was new and clean with towels and shampoo. Overall, it was great night sleep, quiet and cozy

For the price we payed, it was beyond expectations

From the train station this must be over a kilometer but it's all on main thoroughfare and the senses are assaulted with the sights and sounds and smells of Venice for the duration

But within 100 m of a main passage with the most action that we ever did see in Venice. Like most of the hotels that we have stayed in in Italy, the shower was amazingly small

This place is awesome here in Italy. The girl in reception is very kind and there are good vibes with other guests. It's an oportunity to travel alone and to know other cultures just talking to the other guests

location is the best, room is clean, hostess was super helpful and hostel itself is very calm and comfortable. only thing was little hot in the room. would be great if it has ceiling fan

The staff is friendly, there are 3 bathrooms, the place is very clean, the common area is big, you can chat with other guests there or just enjoy a good book on the sofa

And located the center of the Venice. Near at the Supermarket, Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco. I want stay again here! Also you can use refrigerator and microwave

Youth Venice Home is in the center of Venice. Just 4 min by walk form San Marco

you can ask anything your want. one room only with air conditioner. this is Venice lots of walking stairs. if this hotel in other city I would give 1 star

An excellent hotel considering a long-standing family management, the lady anna very kind and helpful, located in a delightful Venetian square.

I recommend staying in this hotel as it is very central, very honest prices, kind and professional staff.

Lovely tiny hotel in the quiter part of Venice. It is in the best location between the Bus station and the St. Marc square. Nice staff. Simple breakfast.

Amazing staff, very friendly and willing to give advice. They have a lift which is so important when you have luggage to haul around, and the room was very neat and had a private balcony which I loved

The location of the hotel is good (20 min walk to the train station, 25 min to the bus station, 25 min to San Marco Plazza) but don't follow google maps to find the hotel, they got it wrong and you will end up far away!

The bathroom needs a bit of a renovation but other than that everything worked well and I had no problems. The staff were extremely friendly and made my solo trip very enjoyable. Breakfast was included and was good too

Good location in Cannaregio district. Lady on the reception was very helpful, we asked for help to get to Marco Polo airport and she printed the schedule of Alilaguna boats. The room we stayed in was tidy and cozy.

Friendly and helpful start. The rooms are really spacious and nice! You feel like living in an old Palazzo! The location is nice and quiet. Within 5 minutes walking you can reach all main attractions!

Such a beautiful hotel! You get to stay in a palace. A bit out of the way, but at the same time due to the size of Venice everything was walkable

Basic hotel next to a busy shopping-street. Breakfast is not impressive, but otherwise a decent ordinary hotel with friendly staff and free wifi. If you plan to spend your time in the city then this will do fine

OK OK type place but a decent one as compared to average hotel in Venice. No restaurant, no room service, no help for even luggage but the staff was accomodative within their availability of services.

That just means your toilet and shower is in the hallway (as I suspect). Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee and cappuccino are better than the outside bars, and in room refreshments are cheaper than outside bars

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and location was really good for both the main train station and also there is Guglie boat stop right across the canal which you can get straight to the airport (cost €14 one-way when booked online)

The customer service here was excellent. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area and transport systems. Toast, cereal, croissants, etc. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels given

Had a great stay at Hotel Hesperia - we booked the room with the external bathroom, which at first we weren't sure about but went for it, but it was fine! The room was great - fantastic view over the canal, good size (as was the bathroom), and comfortable bed

Lots of eating and drinking options nearby too. Only downside was there was no kettle / tea or coffee facilities in the room, but not the end of the world. Good value for the location, I would recommend!

The hotel reception look after your door key while you are out, so you don't need to worry about that. They give 24 hour service, so they are always around if you need anything

Peaceful contrast to the crowds in Venice. A park, grass, trees, birds, little rabbits. Good restaurant open in the summer

Hotel/marina has own boat to pick you up v late at S Elena ( when vaporetto no longer runs) to return to Certosa hotel

Room was nice. Island was nice. Very out of the way. A good get away but not necessarily if you're looking to explore mainland Venice.

I was in Venice for a weekend and I spent a night in this beautiful place near Palazzo Grassi and the Academy, very kind and helpful staff! The wonderful room, highly recommended and I will surely know where to go next time I return to fantastic Venice!

There is a large lounge area outside the room in which to relax and make (free) tea and coffee. Very secure place to leave possessions. Free bottles of water upon our arrival

The room was spacious and nice. My original room wasn't ready upon arrival so I paid the upgrade and it was worth it. Only stayed 1 night but could of been more.

We are currently staying at this place and absolutely love it. We will definitely be coming back. The rooms are large, bed very comfy

Nice and cheap place to stay in Venise. Located really close to the station and also in a good neighbourhood in Venise. The owner is full of good advices to avoid being robbed like every tourist in Venise

Things like sights to see, best times of day, non-touristy restaurants, things to be mindful of, etc. Seriously, probably the best advice you could hope for if you don't know a lot about Venice

a hotel in Milan, perhaps also considering it's still being renovated and no air-conditioning​. However, the owner was VERY hospitable and generous, plus he gave invaluable local advice

The host Giovanni is super hospitable, who gave us excellent advice about Venice, very useful. The location is also good and convenient, very close to bus station

The insects got me quite a few times during the night, so suggest keeping windows closed or bring some bug spray, lol. Kind of expensive did compared to say

The breakfast is very great, with fresh croissants from a local bakery. The room and the bed are very comfortable
