Lovely tiny hotel in the quiter part of Venice. It is in the best location between the Bus station and the St. Marc square. Nice staff. Simple breakfast.

Amazing staff, very friendly and willing to give advice. They have a lift which is so important when you have luggage to haul around, and the room was very neat and had a private balcony which I loved

The location of the hotel is good (20 min walk to the train station, 25 min to the bus station, 25 min to San Marco Plazza) but don't follow google maps to find the hotel, they got it wrong and you will end up far away!

The bathroom needs a bit of a renovation but other than that everything worked well and I had no problems. The staff were extremely friendly and made my solo trip very enjoyable. Breakfast was included and was good too

Good location in Cannaregio district. Lady on the reception was very helpful, we asked for help to get to Marco Polo airport and she printed the schedule of Alilaguna boats. The room we stayed in was tidy and cozy.

The air conditioning had been shut off and the heat was on in the room. We tried to get this rectify and the concierge gave us a fan for the duration of our stay which helped immensely

Their breakfast is very good, it is served in a nearby hotel less than a minute away. We spent our anniversary there, and received a bottle of prosecco, which was a pleasant surprise

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and location was really good for both the main train station and also there is Guglie boat stop right across the canal which you can get straight to the airport (cost €14 one-way when booked online)

Had a great stay at Hotel Hesperia - we booked the room with the external bathroom, which at first we weren't sure about but went for it, but it was fine! The room was great - fantastic view over the canal, good size (as was the bathroom), and comfortable bed

Lots of eating and drinking options nearby too. Only downside was there was no kettle / tea or coffee facilities in the room, but not the end of the world. Good value for the location, I would recommend!

The hotel reception look after your door key while you are out, so you don't need to worry about that. They give 24 hour service, so they are always around if you need anything

The neighborhood is quiet and residential area. Bus number 5 leaves to and from Venice to reach here (Via compalto). Hotel staff is nice and willing to help. Risotto from the Cafe next to the hotel is highly recommended

It is located a few minutes walk from the Mestre train station, with easy options to go into Venice. The reseption was nice and informative. There is a shared bath room for 4 rooms, which was not a problem at all

The payment for parking at the hotel (€6 / day) surprised us a little, but due to the proximity of Venice it is understandable

Very old hotel. The lady running the place was lovely. Breakfast, although not much on offer was actually quite suffice. Old, small rooms and bathrooms which are super outdated, closets a bust stop.

This is a gem of a hotel in Venice. Murano is a lovely island and very accessible to the main parts of Venice. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms were clean and big enough

A short boat ride to Venice but the vaporetto is regular and the journey is scenic (and for us at least uncrowded because we were travelling the opposite way to most- accept when we travelled from Murano to Burano, in hindsight we should have taken the hotel boat!)

One of the things that made this hotel stand out was a small but significant detail: they were the only hotel that allowed us to borrow an iron, which was a huge convenience. Overall, this is an awesome place to stay

The great experience started with the transfer from the airport on the hotels boat, with the driver providing some excellent advise on the trip over to the island. The breakfast buffet is amazing

Four people, dad and three young adult children - three beds. As expected in Venice, hotel was older and smaller. Not cheap, but neither were the alternatives

My wife and I spent the last three days of our first trip to Italy in Venice, staying at Hotel Abbazia about one month ago. It is a historic hotel with delightful atmosphere and good service and amenities

But the absolute best was the customer service. I left a money belt with cash and a credit card on the bed when we checked out. We were already in the Marco Polo Airport when I realized the mistake

When I called, the hotel knew of the errant money belt. It was securely kept until the conscientious staff, especially Beatrice, could get it shipped home

We were looking for accommodation near the train station and Hotel Abbazia is perfect for that. While the rooms may be a little worn, ours was clean and comfortable. The staff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful

A couple of things to be aware of: - My room didn't have a shower, just a tub. Some people I chatted with said their room had a shower. If you'll have a lot of baggage, ask for a room on a lower floor

One issue that I have is with the air quality in the room, it can be a bit stuffy and I started getting really bad allergies at night from the second night I'm staying with the hotel, also saw a mosquitoes flying around (but I did open the window for a little bit to let some fresh air in so maybe that's where it came from) The hotel also has a policy that requires guests to leave your key behind every...

Pretty close to the station, no bridge/stairs between the main station and the hotel as the rest of Venice. The hotel itself has stairs though to enter the lobby. Restaurant and shops downstairs.

The location is right next to the train station, so the easy to getting to the hotel was wonderful, and it’s right near a water bus station, so you have access to quick trips around Venice

this could likely explain why Ca' Bonfadini is often booked out. Discovered this hotel our first time visiting Venice last year (2024), tried to give other hotels some consideration this year (2025)

It's close to the Accademia Bridge and about a 10-minute walk to St. The staff are friendly, and there is an elevator and a lobby. The breakfast is good enough for the price. I'd like to use it again if I come to Venice

hotel facilities are a bit old and worn out they have a cleaning service every day but I don't think they clean the bed cover and the carpets (flooring) every day the location is really good as it's near to the pier of the water bus linking to the tourist attractions I had a stay with breakfast included, however, the hotel did not have sufficient seats that I have to wait for seats and the food is...

Wonderful Palace Hotel This hotel was a palace and you can see this especially from the inside. The Hotel entrance is very nice and the foyer in the first floor was unbelievable, this with 3 huge Murano chandeliers

A 3 minute walk to the boat stop Accademia on Canal Grande or 2 minutes to Vaporetto stop Zattere. This was very convenient to get to many hot-spots. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Paulo

We had the most exceptional stay at Al Theatro Palace, and I would definitely stay here again! The hotel is in an excellent spot - in the heart of San Marco, with all the sights nearby, yet nestled in a small square by the Opera House, so it was really quiet and peaceful

There are a few small bars just around the corner if you want a nightcap or a scoop of gelato on your way back. The hotel staff were brilliant, everyone we spoke with was friendly, more than helpful, and efficient

The vaporetto stop is not one of the night stops (12am - 5am) so, other than those times, it is very easily accessed by waterbus and a short walk from the stop. Taxi will pull up right to the hotels deck

The hotel name printed on every power plug is very excessive and gives the room a cheaper look. I recommend removing the branding on the power plugs. Reception was polite and storing luggage after checkout was a breeze

For our room (upstairs in the no lift section) they took our luggage up to our room for us. ALSO no steps to get from the railway station to the hotel! Definitely will stay there again if we get back to Venice

The staff were 5 star all the way. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly and courteous. Reception was welcoming and always available for information and extras

The breakfast was very nice with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage along with cereal and continental style offerings (panna cotta was very nice) and lots of very nice coffee

Not far from the train station so you do not have to drag your bags far. The rooms were very nice, peaceful area, very modern and the hotel has helpful and friendly staffs!

Look for an older and higher bridge and cross over or look for the Carlton on the Grand Canal Hotel just across the canal, the Capri is located behind it and people from the Canal hotel can direct you to Capri since it is their chain of hotel too

This hotel is a great place to stay. Service is just great,they help you in every way possible and always smile at you. Rooms are dated but mattresses are really comfortable, super clean bathrooms and quiet rooms

I don't think that you can beat this place in Venice. The only disadvantage is that is a little bit far from Piazza Roma so you need to walk with the luggage for 10 minutes but everything else is just great

Great service and ideal location. Right in front of the train station. Be careful it is really just in front of the train station, take time to look around, Google useless here unless on a bridge

The management is superb, breakfast was very good and spacious and comfortable. Dinner at the sky view at the sister hotel Carlton on the grand canal was delicious and the view breathtaking

Rooms were incredibly clean, had a fridge (incredibly useful in summer when you're desperate for a cold water), and the air conditioning was fantastic after a long, sweaty day walking around

Best possible location! Close to Rialto stop of water bus and the airport line, about 4 minutes away. Just a great location to explore Venice. We got a room over the canal

Incredible central location super close to everything you want to see in Venice, and only a 3 minute walk to the closest water taxi station
