Completely renovated, the hotel Lux is located very close to St. Mark. It offers elegant, comfortable rooms with modern facilities and furniture of the 18th century in Venetian style. In the hotels 17 rooms on three floors. The hotel organises excursions to the island of Murano, famous factories for the manufacture of glass. The hotel bar is open around the clock.

Location is great, but be aware the rooms (at least the ones we were in) were in a different building. The "24 hour" front often either had no-one or someone who didn't speak English. Room only had one power point in the bathroom.

Pretty nice hotell in a good location with a charming old style but the rooms were a bit old in other ways as well, with wear like cracks and signs of mold in the bathroom, loose power outlet, one broken light switch. Most staff were ok but felt uninterested and they did not really make you feel welcome. One or two barely greeted you.
Note that the stairs are steep without an elevator, and the breakfast is limited to breads and yoghurt.

Average rooms, average bed, good location but have to leave a bad review due to the staff member whom I assume is the manger was extremely rude and disrespectful. Especially towards me as a woman, no respect or customer service skills. We couldn’t pay cash city tax due to our money being scammed and our only card now being on our phone, I offered to pay by card or transfer they told me there was absolutely no way they could take card for city tax. It was a big ordeal which, an hour later told me to come back and pay by card? Little bit fishy if you ask me. Also they have a sub hotel around a 1-2 minute walk away so you might not actually stay in the hotel you booked.

Amazing location, close to the boat stations and st.Marco square. Room on top floor-4 (every time I claim there, wanted to kill it). Dark a bit in the room, but the most comfortable bed I slept in last time. I wake up with no back pain. Breakfast-not so many choices, but coffee and crossaint were good and taste. Price meet the expectations.

On the second night woke up with a ton of bites. Worried it was bed bugs went to see about changing rooms. The attendant first said we could change rooms depends why and then said no. Said not bed bugs bit mosquitos. He was very dismissive and we were very uncomfortable for the stay in that room. Later we think there may not have been another room to move us to but the customer service was poor. The bathroom strangely also did not have a shower curtain so the whole bathroom got wet when showered. Had a lovely jet tub. The location was great. No elevator and had to go up stairs. The baggage hold after checkout is an unsecured room on the main floor. Felt not great leaving our stuff there.

Pretty surprised to see the negative reviews, we overall have a spacious room with everything we need. I had to add this review to reflect the current date status this deserves 5/5. We got to store our luggage since we arrived early and used the bathroom before checkin.

This was the worst place I've stayed in in over 15 years, including hostels. The main hotel may be nice (I only saw the check-in area), but the annex is just unacceptable for the price. It's cramped, smelly, and uncomfortable. Bags of laundry were just sitting in the halls from the afternoon when I checked in to the morning I left. I was trying to have a slightly nicer night as my last one on my trip, but this was absolutely not it.

Horrible experience. Rooms and beds are too small and it was boiling but AC was allowed only in the summer. Please read what kind of facilities provided before booking. No iron, no kettle allowed. Even there was no glass to drink water. The refrigerator was broken. There was no waiting area, no elevator with about 70 stairs and even there was nobody to help guests for carrying luggages.

Lovely place!
We arrived in this hotel 4 hours before check in time, but we were allowed to leave our luggage here until the room was ready, that made us feel very welcomed!!!
Very friendly and kind staff, clean and cosy room, very comfortable bed! The breakfast was delicious too.
