They put me on a different hotel I didn't pay for but at least the room they put me didn't have bedbugs as the comments mentioned

Ctrip is a real rip-off. This hotel has only shortcomings except that it is close to the square. Poor hygiene, very small room, poor front desk service.

1. The hygiene is not good, the shower in the bathroom is leaking
2. It was difficult to turn around in the room. The photos on Ctrip were overly photoshopped.
3. The front desk is not allowed and visitors are not allowed to go upstairs. The makeup artist who was traveling with me came from another hotel, left after doing my makeup, and was not allowed to go upstairs. Finally, I was asked to pay 80 euros before being allowed to go upstairs. Ctrip, please return my money to me.

Location 20 of 10, St. Mark's Square around the corner and to the right
Ancient building with narrow spiral staircases. There are elevators. Two buildings, the main one and on the next street.
If you are lucky enough to live higher up, there will be an authentic view of the Venetian roofs

The location was excellent, but the amenities were too old and run down. The receptionist chose a very small damp room in another building around the hotel for me. He claimed it belongs to the same hotel, but the building had another name and it was like an apartment building divided into little tiny rooms. Considering the price, it wasn't worth it. I left the light on during the night as the room seemed a bit scary. The breakfast was ordinary. The only good thing about the hotel is the location.

The hotel has a charming, traditional Venetian feel—stepping inside feels like going back in time. Our room was air-conditioned, which we appreciated since we like it cool, and the bed was firm and comfortable—we slept well.

That said, the place does need some maintenance. There was mould along the skirting boards and the wallpaper was literally held up with tape. The reception area had a strong sewage smell (not in the rooms, thankfully), and the receptionist seemed understandably grumpy.

The biggest letdown was breakfast. The service was friendly, but the food was stale and underwhelming. Skip the queue and avoid the coffee machine—just ask for an espresso instead.

Overall a good value stay if you’re after atmosphere and don’t mind a few rough edges. Just eat breakfast elsewhere.

This place was NOT what we expected in terms of the photos and reviews we read. The rooms are extremely dated and not maintained. We had an old not functional kitchenette in a cupboard taking up a huge amount of space as did the mini fridge that doesn’t work. When we opened the shutters a broken piece of wood came off the trim. The curtains had holes and tears in them. The twin « beds » provided for my children were pull out chairs that were crooked, tilted and extremely old with uncomfortable springs. We had to go through a maze of corridors and stairs to get to our room. The room was dark and not what I had hoped for considering the money we spent. The breakfast was fine but not what I had experienced in other Italian hotels. There was simply croissants and white buns, jams, salami, ham and cheese. There was a coffee machine. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a foul, rotting smell that immediately set a negative tone. The hotel clerk was completely disengaged, sitting with her back to us for nearly five minutes before acknowledging our presence. When she finally did, her tone was condescending, and we were told to wait even longer. The check-in process was unpleasant, with her being unhelpful and rude.
Once we got to our room, it was poorly lit and had a musty odor. The bed was uncomfortable, with springs digging into my back and a metal rod running through the middle. We tried adjusting the room temperature, but nothing worked. When I approached the front desk again to inquire about the air conditioning, the clerk barely turned around and simply informed me that it wasn't functioning.
As I searched for a way to deal with the unbearable heat, I discovered multiple small insect carcasses, which appeared to be bed bugs, along with a bloodstain on the floor that measured about two inches long. At that point, we decided to cut our losses and checked out immediately.
If I could rate this hotel zero stars, I would. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.

the hotel is ideally situated for tourism purposes. the room we had was clean and tidy and everything worked. it would have been better if there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. the room was made up each day which was nice .the breakfast was very basic and the coffee was revolting. we used the bar one evening and found the the staff rude and unhelpful . overall the stay was ok
