Reviews
The breakfast is not good and gave me a morning of stomach cramps, which led us to have breakfast out the next morning.
The parking lot is a swamp, I came with a clean car and left with a dirty one, somewhere in a Honterhof, the gate is secured with a mechanical combination lock that you have to open and close by hand every time.
The rooms facing the street are noisy because of the traffic and the night clubs as neighbors.
But the hotel is close to everything.
When checking out, they weren't interested in whether everything was okay.
we will avoid this hotel.
If you have low expectations of a hotel, you've come to the right place.
I recently visited the city on a private trip and the Vilnia was a very pleasant surprise and a great base for us, supporting daily rest and recovery in between intensive sightseeing. Everything was clean, everything worked, it was spacious, the staff were lovely, it was stylish without rubbing your nose in it. Frankly, I think the four-star rating undersells it. I would gladly visit again.
Kids shouting, running in the hallway and slamming doors for 1 hour at night. Called reception and first they told me they didn't see anything through the cameras, and that I should call exactly at the moment this was visible through the CCTV, which was really odd (should I assume they thought I was inventing this?). I did as instructed. I guess someone spoke to them, as guests calmed down.... for literally 5 minutes. They then resumed the same: children running and screaming, plus an adult walking shirtless with a beer 6-pack in the hallway with a kid on his shoulders and shouting as if they were in a playground. Apparently it was a family with 2 rooms and they opted to make the hallway an extension for themselves.
I thought eventually this would stop and kids would go to bed, but none of that. By 11 PM situation persisted and I had to firmly insist to get a new room, as apparently they were totally unable to control the situation.
I had to pack all my things at 11 PM, including suit and shirts I ironed and should use the following day, and changed rooms.
A hotel that cannot assure minimum behaviour from its guests is a bad hotel, it's as simple as that. First and last stay for me and my company's business trips to Vilnius. Will try another hotel next time.
