We stayed at Grandfather’s Secret in August 2024 and wow! The beauty of this place blew us away and Ivan was wonderful, responsive and went out of his way to help us out of a jam. If countryside and peace and quiet surrounded by vineyards and mountains are your thing,, this place can’t be missed. It’s places like this that make the travel experience and are putting Montenegro on the map.

What a great place to stay! Ivan is a wonderful host and helpful beyond belief. The villa and property were clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The wine and brandy made there are also great. Do be aware of the small mountain roads around this area, they can be brutal on a rental car and our rental car company was ruthless extorting...

The Hotel has very big potential however there are several issues which need to be addressed: First of all the view when having the very good breakfast is spectacular. The rooms are nice however in the bathroom there was often a very foul smell coming from the bottom and also there were spots which were not cleaned at all during the week. Several issues,about our staying...June 2021 The location is on a hill,so you have to use about 100 steps to reach Perast..You must rent a car..for visiting and the tiny Muntenegro is beautiful... But the most annoying issue is the building working just 20 meter from the windows..they are starting to work at 7 a.m and really disturb .The room is lovely albeit the air conditioning is not working well...

Amazing place, beautiful view, great staff, high hospitality. Delicious food, which I honestly didn't expect. Their restaurant is simply amazing. The rooms are specious and clean. Parking really means a lot. It's not really close to the beach, you have to climb a bit, but the view, parking, rooms, food definitely worth it. Also if you like to travel to different beaches it's great place.

We stayed here for a week pre season in early May and were the only guests. Vesna, Milan, Aleksandra and team were the most attentive folks ever. Friendly welcome, nice view, the hotel owns the most romantic beach in town ( in my point of view). I did not like the monotonous breakfast and that the restaurants are 10-15 mins far from the hotel. I visited this hotel as a tour leader with a group of 25 persons, in April 2025. It is a beautiful mountain hotel but need better management. Be careful the hotel has no elevator. So, if you have mobilities issues reconsider and if you have a room in the upper floors and a heavy luggage you need assistance. Such a beautiful little haven. We had to work temporarily for this week abs the house was well equipped. It also had aircon which was a treat during the hot evenings. There is a church bell right adjacent which rings every half hour but it’s not excessive. The staff were SO helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our additional requests.

The restaurant offers an incredibly high quality of food and the size of the portions in relation to the prices. This is certainly the best quality food for extremely low prices of any place I've ever visited. The ambience is fantastic, as is the natural greenery that surrounds it.

Staff provided thorough instructions regarding the room, breakfast, things to see in Perast. There is parking at the end of this beautiful tiny coastal town. The hotel has carts to drive you to and from the parking area. Parking attendants can park your car if all spaces are occupied. Parking currently is 15 euros for 24 hours… I parked at 8am.
