New West Hotel in Ulan Bator

The hotel is conveniently located: about 2 km as the crow flies from the bus station, where we arrived and departed. It's easy to find; it's on the city's main street, but not on the main road, so there was no traffic noise. It's a bit far from the city center, including museums, the central square, and other amenities, but the main street is constantly jammed with traffic, so it's not clear whether a taxi or bus would be faster, so we walked about 40 minutes. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and cleaning, towel changes, and shampoo in the bathroom were provided daily. The internet was fast, and the staff was friendly, including one who spoke Russian. We stayed for two days. On the first day, I really wanted to write a bad review for breakfast because within half an hour there was no food left (I tried to get more, but the trays were empty), and no new food or drinks were brought. The next day, a different shift was working, and everything was brought promptly—food, juice, and coffee.

The hotel is good, breakfasts are normal

I gave it the highest rating on a booking portal. That wasn't okay, but rather due to the friendly manager's request. 7 out of 10 would have been appropriate. Despite everything: A recommendable hotel. The breakfast? Very mediocre.

The price is a bit expensive.

The staff members were kind and polite, smiling and very helpful.

There wasn't much around, but the hotel itself was nice and the service was good.I was able to book a taxi for the return trip to the airport for $30. Also, since it was early in the morning, a breakfast box was prepared for me. The staff in the first section also spoke Japanese.

Very good hotel! There is everything for a comfortable stay. Very good hotel location and service. We were provided with a taxi to the train station and also provided with breakfast, despite the fact that we checked out very early. We can recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to visit Ulaanbaatar.
