Where to stay in Ulan Bator

Perfect location with two minute walking distance of the main square. Close to other interesting places also. Clean and well maintained hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Nice view from the room. I think this is the best place to stay in Ulaan Bataar

Good place to stay. Service is good though people at the restaurant could be more proactive. We wait for 1 hour before realizing the kitchen forgot our order. Front desk guy was really nice and helpful.

I often book this hotel for professionals on first time visit and they are invariably satisfied.

Very good hotel in the center of everything

I pre-booked hotel car for airport and drop off by email and confirmed the departure time with the hotel receptionist again when I arrived at the hotel. However they still missed my booking. They couldn’t arrange the hotel car at the end but arrange a taxi for me. The hotel facilities are ok, but the receptionist staff is not professional.

I really dont understand their AC and ventilation system. With the AC it is too noisy to rest but without it the room has no air to breath. Also the sheets are too hard and the air is dry. Not comfy.

The location of the hotel is by walking distance to attraction such as Chinggis Khan museum,Sukhbaatar square, Government Palace. Room is very spacious. Bathroom’s rainshower and headshower are excellent with strong water pressure. Highly recommended to stay at this hotel. Hotel staffs are polite and kind. Great view from the room overlooking a big local temple and houses on the hill.

Very decent hotel. Only issue is they do not turn on the central aircon for heating and only depend on the heater, which can be quite cold sometimes during this period of time. Suggestion to the hotel, get your hotel listed on UB cab so that the service can locate your hotel! It's s shame your hotel couldn't be located on the app!

Holiday Inn located in a walking distance to downtown and many museum. The hotel is fairly new and had a great gym with all the equipment you needed. Check in and out is fast and smooth. Wifi is good if you can connected it , unfortunately I experienced numerous time the user name and password not correctly connect and need to run down to the front desk for assistance

This is one of the older hotels in Ulaanbaator, and it shows. You can tell from the breakfast room (ballroom) and lobby that at one time it was something, but it is dated, and somewhat falling apart. We stayed there twice, at the beginning and end of our trip. The first check in was a fiasco - with the front desk staff telling us we had no reservation, then turning their backs on us - so unhelpful...

I had previously stayed at the ibis and decided to change to a hotel that was more downtown. The location is very good. The bed was good. Wi-Fi worked. Shower was nice. Desk staff was helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

To be fair no concierge! Even they will tell you that Im not going to talk to you. Lol! Expect some 3 star services and amenities while you paying for 5 star. Lobby have that smell. Maybe toilet or sewer leak. Otherwise, location is top.

The room was clean, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff could communicate in English and were very patient and helpful with any questions or issues I had.

The room isn't very big and the decor is a bit old-fashioned. My biggest complaint is the hairdryer; it's an old model with very weak airflow, making it quite difficult to use. On the positive side, the hotel service is excellent, and communication in English is seamless. They can assist with calling taxis and other requests. Many tourists stay here, and the breakfast selection is quite good.

The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated, and its location is great. Many city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was decent, and the views were excellent. However, I was a bit disappointed that the hotel had a separate breakfast area exclusively for Korean guests, and others weren't allowed in. I would have really liked to try it.

Great place, would stay again.

The second stay here wasn't as smooth as the first time. When i arrived, there was no electricity, which meant i had to go up and down to ask someone to help me open the door every time i left the room. Also, even though i booked a massage session at 8:30 pm to spend some time in the sauna beforehand, i was reminded about the massage and pushed to have it starting from 8 pm. Couldn't really relax....

The public bath would be a high end one even in Japan with its wood finish (although the rocks for the bath itself would not be so obviously fake). The breakfast is also impressive as is the service level. This is a bit on the pricy side for an older building, however, at least in summer.

The Hotel has seen quite a few years. However, it did age very well and is very good maintained. I enjoyed it more than the Hotel I stayed at before, which was 3 times more expensive.

There is no curtain in the bathroom which brought bad experience. Plus the lock doesn't work. All the staffs are nice and friendly.

Nice hotel in the heat of Ulaanbaatar. They are one of the very old well maintained hotel. Everything was nice during my stay except they missed to do room service and it seems like a oversight by the service incharge. After complaining with reception they immediately arranged for it. So kudos to their revellers service.

The room was really good. About a mile from the main square but a nice walk. Big supermarket next door and a nice little bar downstairs. Breakfast was good too. Great value for the price.

We enjoyed the hotel very much. We didn't have hotel breakfast since it's very close to Emart. There's no concierge, which is the only inconvenience we had.

Had a great time on christmas day with my family.

Clean, modern design rooms, comfy beds and amenities. Excellent views of UB and mountains from higher floors. Friendly and efficient staff helped with every need I had. All-day buffet quite tasty. Affordable laundry service. Wonderful stay, and I would certainly stay again.

Stayed here for a few nights at the end of May. Very nice hotel. We were previously in the Ibis, but moved due to the location. Traffic is so bad in the centre, that anywhere that's centrally located is a must for tourism. You're literally 5-10 mins walk from the main square and Shangrila complex. I stayed here near Christmas, and it was a pleasant experience. We booked through their website because they had a special online reducing the price of the rooms. Our room was comfortable and looked reasonably clean. It was a bit warmer than I'm used to, and I couldn't figure out the climate controls for the room. And with the pollution in Ulaanbaatar, I found it difficult to open the window for long...

Went into the restaurant lower down but didn't stay...it looked like a staff canteen. Room was okay. Stayed in an executive room which was a good size but not well designed. There was a tiny gap at one side of the bed so you had to squeeze along to get into bed. Strange design as...

Great location right off Sukhbataar square, friendly staff, clean and generally cosy. But they really need to deal with temperature in the rooms - e.g. I would have appreciated a way of turning down the heat instead of opening the window as it smelled of coal outside.

Good location, easy to walk to many places in UB. Hotel restaurant and Cafe are both good and offer a range of local and international food. Hotel staff are fantastic and make the stay here worth it. Rooms are worn and outdated, takes a long time for the water to run hot.

A pretty decent hotel. Great location and it was very easy communicating with the staff. They were quite helpful. The room was very large for the price we paid, but it could use some updating and cosmetic touch-ups. Due to COVID, we weren't able to experience the whole thing, but overall it was a good experience in a great location.

It’s quite tucked away between multiple buildings so is not easy to find and will not have much sunlight. Expect a quiet (except for train) business area that doesn’t have much neighborhood and no restaurants stores nearby

Clean room, comfy bed. Grabbed dinner on the 6th floor — food was solid, especially the Mongolian khuushuur. Front desk was great. Big thanks to Enkhee for helping with my bags and explaining everything clearly, and Ulzii for quickly setting up a taxi to the airport. Would stay again.

Great location close to the airport. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options. All the staff were extremely friendly, especially Emujim at reception, who was exceptionally kind and helpful.

Uber and taxi service are unreliable. Hotel staff was helpful and eventually was able to locate a taxi to the airport. Staff tries hard to help out and they are really nice. Water cut three times within one month stay, electricity two times. Breakfast is a scam for 15$ they charge, avoid by all means.

The service was super, Ms Nara was extremely helpful, when my husband noticed only 2 bottles of water, Ms Nara immediately came back with 4 bottles plus a welcoming drink coupon. She also provided us info about the festival. When we left, she helped us to get taxi and told driver the destination in local language.  Food in 2nd floor restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced.

Good location, breakfast and dinner by Floor 2 restaurant are yummy. One dinner I was charged to room, when checking out, the hotel almost forgot to charge me. Luckily I was no cheating, paying him 26,500 local currency as the bill. Upload some pictures taken in grassland and downtown of Ulaanbaatar.
