The hotel was very unique and close to the airport but I would only give it 3 stars because we saw no staff when we were there. There were menus to order food and a wine bar, but no staff and no restaurants near by. We ended up grabbing cheese and bread from the convince store, but we were surprised that we couldn’t get dinner here.

Practical to be at the airport early morning. Very nice to enjoy the pool in the evening or in the morning. Delicious breakfast. Very nice personnel. Calm even with the proximity of the airport. One detail : there is nothing to eat in the village. Only solution for diner is the airport ! The coffee machine in the room did not work properly.

This place was a fantastic surprise. Wonderful breakfast. Very quiet. Close to the airport. Walking distance actually.

Just stayed for one night ahead of an early airport departure. Really simple check in and good communication. Managed an hour to chill out by the pool. Room is just what you need, clean, simple approach.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and clean. It’s not really “walking distance” to many places, but made an excellent hub.

The room had no windows to open for ventilation, and it smelled strongly of a basement, probably because it hadn't been opened for ventilation for 400 years. I was the only one in the hotel after 3 p.m., and the code for the exterior door was the same as my room's. The room door didn't have a locking mechanism. It was a terrifying night, and I couldn't sleep.

Beautiful location in a historic building & setting! The hosts were amazing and we really enjoyed our wine tasting experience. Definitely recommend visiting and getting to taste the local wines. Thank you Dorian!

Great location! The whole location is really nice and the rooms are clean. Can’t understand the negative reviews. It’s also located perfectly to explore the three cities and if you want to go to Valletta you can take the ferry which is only a few meters away. I’ll definitely come back!

First, let me say that the room is close to the airport and clean, which is why we booked it. But the “king” bed is not even a queen—it’s a full, and it was self-check in, when I filtered for hotels. I wanted a front desk. Instead I got a text with instructions for how to access the keys. The owner is nice enough, and again, the place was fine. But it was way too expensive for self-check in to sleep...

Children are not allowed in the hotel, so I didn't check in, and a lot of the information was unclear, and I couldn't cancel even if I contacted the hotel or Ctrip. I won't choose this hotel next time.

Bus around don’t work till July 4th, and the government don’t make clear notice. So be prepared to take taxi to Valletta if live here. Other than that, very nice place and the owner Marvik is an awesome guy. Malta government should do a better job.

We loved it very much. So clean and welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we are going to the airport. There is a small kitchen to make yourself a cuppa etc. Very well organised. Thank you Marvik for a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this place.

Out if this world room and service. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The Jacuzzi was a god send after the long flight. The room was comfortable, cozy, clean and modern. The balcony had an amazing view of the harbour. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Too plentiful! I was not hungry the rest of the day! If I am fortunate enough to return to valletta I will be staying here!

It’s our second time here and we love this hotel and the view from our room. The beds are comfortable & Air con good. Wonderful panoramic view. Staff very accommodating and enjoyed stopping off for a coffee or two between work meetings. I didn't stay at the hotel so I cannot comment on that aspect.

Great location but the single room I stayed in was very basic and a bit grungy. However, the ensuite had it's own water heater, so I never had any problems with the water unlike other guests in more expensive suites.

Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The staff at this hotel are truly outstanding and really represent the very best in guest focussed hospitality.

The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory.

We stayed here in October for a long weekend. It is gorgeous and right in the center of Valletta. All staff are attentive and wear masks as per covid regulations. Breakfast is served in your room, based on your preference. We look forward to visit again, hopefully in the coming months!

So close to 5 stars. I've stayed here twice, the staff is superb, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice and well thought out. The rooms are clean and vibrant and unique. The location is terrific. The only issue...and it wasn't huge, was no door or at least curtain for the toilet. Easy fix, but everything else was really, really nice and relaxing.

I just came back from my stay in Valetta! The location of this hotel was very good, also beautiful view from the rooftop. The room was also very clean and spacious. Big thank you to Shaun at the reception who was super friendly and helped us figuring out what to do in such a short time (1 day). We had a great stay at this hotel. The 24-hour reception was very convenient, and the staff were extremely friendly. Our room was spacious with a balcony, a clean bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here

Good Hotel. The hotel has an excellent location within the Old Town and near to restaurants and attractions. The rooms were basic, but had everything necessary. Breakfast was simple and nothing special. Was good value for money and would recommend. The views from the rooftop are similar to from nearby viewpoints.

situated in Ursula Street which is already a Touristic attraction. Merisi Suites has lots of apartments, some with a really nice balcony. There is an elevator, a washing machine which is free of charge, a swimming pool with a fantastic view. The apartments have Airconditioning and are fully equipped kitchen. Very clean and Organized. Very very good location but the place was not great. Room we got was on a ground floor. It didn’t have any view or direct sunlight. There was a mold/ watery/ moist smell in the apartment and the shower was broken so they just put the shower courtliness which I hate and it made entire bathroom wet. I would only recommend it if you care about location but not about place you sleep in.

Extremely convenient location (but no car park - you can park at one of the free car parks about 10 mins walk). Beautiful room and charming staff. The spa and massage sessions were solid. This hotel is a gem! Very well located, small breakfast but very tasty. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very nice, gentle and always ready to help. The only downside is that there is no parking but if you don’t rent a car, you will fell no difference. I highly recommend this hotel.

Just come back from a 4 night stay in this hotel and have to say we had a wonderful stay, the staff were very helpful every time you asked for something, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely . The place is great. It has everything: good location, really kind people working there and providing you with lots of helpful information, and clean rooms and bathrooms. It also has a fan, toilet paper and shower gel and shampoo, towels. Recommend!

A little bit disappointed about the location, because even if close to valleta, in the evening we didn't found a restaurant nearby, jist some Asian food. But the room and personnel were really nice. They have a small dinner on the roof top and a small jacuzzi.

We spent 3 nights in Chapter 5. The location is 10 mins distance with bus from the center of Valetta and 30 mins walking distance to center of Silema. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and air condition was working perfectly in such hot weather. Access to the roof top which includes a free jacuzzi. Staff was really helpful and friendly especially Gabriella. Definitely recommend!

Spent 4 nights here. It was really clean and quiet. The room had lots of space, its own bathroom, good wifi, air conditioning, and black out blinds. The shower pressure was strong so it was a really nice, modern bathroom. The room also had a fridge and daily maid service. The room had a kettle and blow dryer. The elevator worked well. We stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were clean and very well maintained. Gabriella at the reception was really nice and helpful. She exclaimed everything when we checked in, gave us plenty of recos and explained us how to get to places and what to see. Only one con is that there are no drinking water bottles in the room. We had to get them from outside everyday. Ta-Xbiex is not a very attractive location...
