La Falconeria Hotel

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Valletta Old Town. Small boutique hotel about 2 blocks downhill from Republik Street and everything Valletta has to offer – attractions, restaurants, shops. Everything I wanted to do was within a short walk. Located on a quiet side street across from the French Embassy. Very nice room with king bed, in-room safe, fridge with comp mini-bar, and large bathroom with walk-in shower and bathrobe. Very nice restaurant with several choices for a made-to-order comp breakfast. Staff was very helpful with sightseeing suggestions. Hotel will arrange your transportation to/from airport for a very reasonable fee, which can be added to your room bill. Very pleased with my stay and would highly recommend La Falconeria.

A great location with everything of interest within easy walking distance. Very helpful reception staff and all staff were really polite. Very good breakfast with hot food orders taken and prepared freshly. Our room was lovely, really spacious with a Maltese balcony.

The highlights:
-direct booking process was super flexible and adaptable
-location cannot be beat
-standard check in is 2pm which is early compared to industry standard
-I think we got upgraded to 501, a gorgeous terrace suite. Amazing view!!!
-included breakfast had a lot of variety. It was good taste, nothing noteworthy
-the hotel is modern and cared for, massive terrace, nice tile floor, staff are soooo nice with friendly service

Some of the constructive feedback:
-should have more complimentary water in rooms, one bottle not enough
-there should be a higher privacy screen between the terraces on the 5th floor, it's a little low to have comfortable tanning...maybe even just put tall bushes between
-towels were scratchy for the otherwise high quality of the hotel, should be a bit better comfort
-at check in or during the stay no one told us we could go to the sister hotel for rooftop pool if we wanted to. It's not a big deal but I only found out from Google reviews
-the tile floors show off the dirt and hair and other stuff so you can tell that it's not cleaned (thoroughly?)
-the lounge chairs on the terrace are bizarre shape...you can't lie flat on them, you have to awkwardly sit in them only. Thats a huge drawback. They'd be better off with just cheaper lie fast than the super funky designs

We had an exceptional stay at La Falconeria. We were very lucky to be upgraded to room 502 which has a terrace and stunning views over Valletta. The room was spacious, with a modern bathroom and air conditioning. Pod coffee was provided. We really enjoyed the cave-like pool! Great breakfast. Vwry central but also lovely and quiet. Only downside I would mention is that we had to keep asking the staff to get water for us as we were told by them not to drink from the taps and only given a 500mL jug of water for the room. This is very inconvenient when the weather is 34 degrees! Would be much better if there was a water filling station for guests in the lobby. That being said, staff were very accommodating.

I am so happy we booked to stay in this lovely boutique hotel. Great location in historic Valletta. The staff were friendly & helpful, especially the reception staff who were kind enough to print our boarding passes for us & who responded to my daughter's email enquiries prior to the holiday. Breakfast was a real feast with lots of variety. The room was clean and although it was quite small it was perfectly adequate. The plumbing was a bit temperamental & the air conditioning didn't seem to work properly but if you want a modern hotel with a large room & mod cons then maybe don't choose to stay in Valletta. For me, it was definitely worth foregoing those things for the beautiful view from our balcony. Also, it was very convenient to be a short walk from the bus station, Valletta Waterfront & the ferries to Sliema & the 3 Cities.

The location is excellent. We just stay for one night.

The location is ideal for me, the staff was very attentive and professional
The breakfast was good, you have some choice buffet and you can order different variations of an English breakfast.
Room 501 is exceptional with the view. I was lucky.
Clean, quiet and spacious rooms with tea coffee facility. Everything properly working.
