Hotel Pjazza Merkanti - Boutique Living

Came across the hotel in one of the apps and admittedly was a bit hesitant to book at first, thinking that it might be too loud since they are located at the very central part of Valetta. I was proven to be wrong, it was a very comfortable, stress-free week with them. The staff are very friendly and approachable, from the concierge to the kitchen and cleaning staff. During our first breakfast at the hotel, (breakfast is included and afternoon snacks are free for those staying for a min. of 2 nights) we were welcomed and introduced to the different maltese foods and breakfast staples. The rooftop view is beautiful although it could get really sunny and hot. Our room was superb, very relaxing and clean with the complimentary mini-bar. They also offer daily room service (can opt out if you wish not to be disturbed). All in all a wonderful experience with them, very accessible to all the beautiful sights of Valletta.

This hotel is a gem! Very well located, small breakfast but very tasty. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very nice, gentle and always ready to help. The only downside is that there is no parking but if you don’t rent a car, you will fell no difference. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great 3 night stay 7 Jan - 11 Jan 2024. Room was amazing, size - huge. Free mini bar included. Free toiletries included, shower cap, hand soap, shampoo, body lotion, vanity -nail file, ear buds, cotton pad, hair elastic band. Slippers provided. UK plug sockets, USB socket, no need for travel adapters bonus!!
Due to bath weather breakfast trolley was on floor 3 for 2 days, easily accessible. I had food from the breakfast trolley which i took back to my room to eat. There was a table and chair in the room so no issue to eat breakfast in the room.
Breakfast was awesome so much food and variety -i had warm ricotta parcels, warm spinach parcels, bread rolls, butter, mixed fruit salad, banana, cake, biscuits, orange juice, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs with onion and tomato, veg stew. Nothing to complain about for breakfast. Loved the breakfast.
Weather was good on last day so it was served on terrace on floor 5 with amazing sea views.
Hotel staff were very polite and helpful.
Great location near all points of interest for sightseeing.

Lovely hotel, right near all the restaurants & bars. Perfect for a city break & the ferry to get to Gozo. The hotel is spotlessly clean, decorated & furnished complimenting the old building. The staff are polite & helpful. The breakfast on the roof terrace is a lovely traditional Maltese style which is perfect. Also provided a free drink & nibbles early evening for guests staying more than 1 night... What a nice touch. What a lovely place to stay, I highly recommend it

We had a 4 days stay at the hotel and everything was great. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were clean and cozy! Each room has an iron, hairdryer, kettle for hot water a coffee machine. Every day they load capsules for the coffee machine.
The breakfast was traditional Maltese and the view from the terrace was amazing.
Located in the heart of Valletta city just minutes away from many of the tourist sights.

The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms look good and it is clean, the complementary mini bar is a great touch. What we didn’t like was the breakfast old fruit and untoasted white bread delivered to your room. Also what we are missing is a place to store your luggage after you check out. We had to buy a luggage locker around the corner that was pretty expensive. (€14.99)

Update: thanks for your response but they clearly told us we could not store our luggage after 18:30 since the reception was closed and you have no space. So the lady lied to us or you are lying now.

I’ve never expected such fanciness during my stay here. The staff are amazingly welcoming and gave us great advice of the places to visit. The room was big, cleaned and well air-conditioned. The breakfast would be served in our room after filling a form the night before. We felt very happy for choosing this place to stay at Valletta

Very expensive for what they offer. Is a good 3 stars hotel. I paid much more for having no election in the last moment. People very well, the room normal, but the decoration spectacular inside. The balcony super small. Also the view from that balcony very limited. Anyway, the ms. at reception in the mornings, and Martin in the afternoon, compensated all. Thanks.
