Hotels with beach in Valetta

We visited this hotel last year and loved it. However we’ve recently been back and had to wait till well after 3pm for our room (check in 3pm)which meant we wasted a lot of our first day

A heartfelt birthday card was followed by a surprise visit from staff with roses, an ice bucket with glasses, a birthday cake, and multilingual birthday wishes – a fantastic display of hospitality! Breakfast, a lavish buffet with a variety of options, was a highlight

It is supposed to be a five star hotel, unfortunately it is showing signs of fatigue. The tiles in the bath room are chipped and has become hard to clean as a result

However, service remains good and the breakfast offers a good choice. There is a small private beach which allows bathing in the sea with fish swimming around you, which was very pleasant

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The en-suite had a combined bath and shower and quality toiletries. Breakfast was very good with a wide hot and cold choice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful

The balcony was directly facing the small harbour where coincidentally some yachts were preparing for the Rolex Middle Sea race (please see photos). Many of the crews were also, not surprisingly, staying at the hotel

The beach club was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and can be used for free if you’re staying at the hotel. We always had available sunbeds, though I would recommend to arrive early

It has access to the sea as well, the pool is reasonable size with sea water. The hotel also has a rooftop pool with fewer sunbeds, free of charge. We stayed in the family room, the bed was very large, could fit 3 people

We were always able to get a spot at the beach club and enjoyed the facilities there immensely. It is only a short walk away, though closes at 6

The service however? Outstanding! Cannot thank the staff enough for the warm welcomes, excellent service and kindness especially to Kristian, Njambe and Marie who we met in the pool and then became our group tour host

The hotel is not on the seafront but a short distance away from buses, ferries etc all of which run frequently. We took these on occasions but Uber/Bolt so cheap worth taking these

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were kindly upgraded at check in from a superior room to a suite which offered more space. Spa was lovely and empty in the mornings

right next to beach many restaurants near by can go for a swim

However The Waters Edge have managed to provide accomodation for the last five nights of my holiday which makes it better. The total cost is still within my original budget. The Waters Edge is a three star rated hotel

I have been told the hotel increased prices but I didn't notice any major increase this time. It is very dependent upon which travel company one books through. I'm planning to come back summer and Christmas 2023

It is closer to the airport and overall works out cheaper than the get them in with cheap rates but then rob them blind hotels in the tourist area. Once again thanks to the staff at the Waters Edge

My eternal thanks go to the staff at the Waters Edge hotel in Birzebbuga for helping to turn what was going to be a disastrous September Holiday in Malta into something more acceptable

I don't need to see any other hotels because I already found my favourite one here 🩵 The staff is super nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable with a stunning view over the bay

The hotel is in a good location. It is close to the bus station. It is very convenient to take the bus to the scenic spot. The view from the room is also very good. There is a sea view and a yacht

It is very comfortable to walk on the beach. The hotel provides paid airport shuttle service

I was worried about the smell of the water in the room. It's not a new hotel, so that was a bit of a concern, but the service and location are good, so I recommend it overall

We stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and felt at home. All the facilities we wanted, a generous size room with a great view and no direct sunshine

Everything was great, distance, service, cleanliness and above all the hotel pool and spa.

The view from the room is amazing. You can use the outdoor pool across the street! It's spacious and special. The indoor pool is cold, and there is only one jacuzzi, so you need to be careful

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a great location. just spent 7 fantastic days here. Lovely clean rooms with an amazing sea view. Food excellent, the variety of food was great, suitable for all tastes

All staff are lovely and can't do enough for you, especially one member of staff who sadly we didn't get his name but he made the best Brain teaser cocktails and he always made time to come over and chat to us

The spa closed just after we arrived so unable to comment on the facilities If you go with children visit the splash park about 15 mins ride away - excellent value for money

We have just returned from a one week holiday, we were a little nervous regarding building works but we’re not affected by this at all

Rooms clean and spacious Staff friendly and helpful Great location with fab pool bar just across the road Only downside was being all inclusive and having to sign for food/drinks and show room card every time you wanted something

Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, everyone was so friendly and helpful 😊, very well priced for a great location, we stayed 5 nights, room was comfy and had air-conditioning, nice clean toilets and showers, staff and owner were all lovely

I was very glad to choose Granny´s Inn Hostel as a place to stay during my trip to Malta. It is in calm area, yet not far away from capital nor from busy night life

Even though the reception is not open 24/7, the staff was prepared to help to solve any issues even out of the reception hours. To add one more plus is rooftop terrace to relax

There is a balcony, a common area where you can watch TV and also a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the sun. The kitchen is well equipped to cater your budget travelling

The hostel is small enough for you to get to know everyone. I can't find any fault at all during my stay. I would definitely 100% recommend other travellers to stay here

Really nice hostel with really good facilities. Beds are comfortable. Awesome terrace to drink a cold one. Defenetly will come again.

Also the road to the hotel is generally quite tight, but this is quite common about Valletta. Overall, I was very happy with my two nights here with my wife. We will definitely come back to the hotel in the future

My husband and I chose this hotel because we trusted Marriott’s reputation, but our stay was shockingly bad. While the view was decent, the hotel itself felt outdated. The worst part was the service

Must explore the whole Dragonara at your own risk of course as it's the Big Sea, you also can just go snorkeling safely around the Maltese Ghemmuna Artillery battery, which became the Scicluna Family Palace after the Banking Reset of 1873 Greta Staff starting with Upama at the Green exotic stone desk, then was guided to my cozy room by Duty Manager Sandra who explained the hotel history and facilities...

Stayed with handicapped Mom, Hotel  gave us best room with perfect view, provided a wheelchair and took excellent service. Nice pool area snd gym. The best value for the money in the area — totally recommend!!!

We stayed at The Westin in February for 3 nights as a weekend getaway. The first thing that impressed us was the service, every member of the staff was very lovely, kind, and helpful

Cheap price rooms. Hotel a little rusty but clean. Very close to the beach. And nice restaurants and bars really close.

it is a cheap place and at a great location .rooms are big and spacious lift is a bit scary but other than that it is a great place close to the heart of paceville and right across the road from the beach. love it!

The bar next door played music till 4 am but it didn't bother me, but bring ear plugs if it bothers you. Right on the sea front, such a perfect location!

Great stay for 3 nights with great food, we stayed half board. We paid extra for a sea view and it was an amazing view! Totally worth the money

You can walk to the hub of St Julians for many other restaurants and bars. There is a bus stop outside the hotel for ease of access to Valletta etc. I would highly recommend the Marina

This hotel is perfect for a holiday in Malta(St Julian's). The rooms are spacious and comfortable with many good restaurants on site. The shining light of this hotel is the staff

But the location is good, private beach, breakfast is ok to some extent, quite impressed

Beautiful grounds with great pools. Very clean rooms and a great balcony with sea views. We even received an upgrade on site. Breakfast was very varied. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Airport reachable within 20 minutes.

Very good, there was a construction site nearby but we couldn't hear it in our room.

We booked a trip with 4 friends, but the room is a bit small and old, not like a 5-star hotel, should be 3 stars. My pillow has blood stains, I told the cleaning staff, but they didn't change the pillowcases for me

The cabinet is very heavy and difficult to move. In addition, the shower bathtub in our room drains very slowly. I don’t know if it’s just ours or all of them, but we are too lazy to report it to the hotel

The hotel has a nice view and the service is also very good. The only problem is that there is no charging port at the bedside. There are only charging ports behind the TV and next to the TV cabinet

From the bar staff at The Bridge and The Edge to the breakfast staff and the cleaners - they couldn’t have been more helpful and offered excellent customer service as well as being friendly and efficient! We would like to give special thanks to the Bridge bar staff who were wonderful and especially to Fe from the Bridge bar who looked after us all week and gave above and beyond excellent customer service...

Yet if you watched her comings and goings you'd have seen a beaming warm welcome, an enchanting introduction to the restaurant and facilities but above all a charming lady whom certainly took pride at what she does

Observant was she that she noticed a guest having just a salad and some fruits she went over and offered a salmon plate with some avocado as an alternate. It was surprising but much appreciated by the guest

Management one on one! Barely see managers do that and here you have the hostess making sure her guests are pride of place. This was the highlight of the breakfast for me

We loved the hotel and had a fantastic stay. The food was excellent, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Above all we thought the staff were excellent

We stayed here with 57 of our guests for our wedding in Malta. The hotel is clean and the food and drinks are brilliant. We experienced fantastic service and would highly recommend for families travelling in large groups

The hotel is very up to par with everything that was advertised for the hotel: there is a Spa, 2 pools outside, 2 inside, its own beach + 2 pools on the beach, a casino and a gym

I stayed with Rose for six weeks. She is an amazing host - very kind and considerate. The studio room had amazing beach views, big kitchen/lounge/dining area for the size of the apartment

All appliances worked and in good order. I had to isolate for 10 days, and Rose was very helpful in getting me supplies and checking in to make sure I was ok! Would stay again
