Best Hotels in Valetta

Besides the made-to-order pancakes and eggs, everything else wasn’t very good. Additionally, the cleaning situation at breakfast was interesting to say the least

Our suite was so spacious and comfortable that we sometimes preferred staying in and relaxing over going out

And the food at the hotel restaurant was so good that, even though we usually enjoy eating out, we often chose to dine in. Overall, we warmly recommend this hotel

Bed frame peeling 😩 If you go for a swim in the pool there are no showering facilities or changing rooms prepare to pay €15 to use them along with the small sauna or walk back to your room with wet swimming costume

We stayed one week at the hotel Excelsior at the end of November, and I have no words to express my gratitude to everyone who made our stay such a wonderful experience! From the reception team, the young, tall doorman who always paid special attention to our 3-year old boy, the cleaning staff, to the restaurant crew — everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely polite

Firstly, we arrived and we had booked two rooms online, but the hotel couldn’t find our reservations (or had some error where our reservations were under a different name) for over half an hour

The breakfast was very, very good. The staff at this hotel are truly outstanding and really represent the very best in guest focussed hospitality

the room was excellent, the servie was good and the location too

I attended a conference at The Phoenicia Hotel and was impressed by the well-equipped meeting facilities and the attentive service. The lunch provided was excellent, showcasing fresh and flavorful dishes

The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent

Good hotel. Excellent breakfast. Despite the fact that during the pandemic, many hotels offer breakfast in the rooms, here you can eat in the restaurant. Naturally, in compliance with all anti-Covid measures.

The beach club was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and can be used for free if you’re staying at the hotel. We always had available sunbeds, though I would recommend to arrive early

Service was excellent, hotel staff are extremely friendly and really go above and beyond to accommodate you. Will definitely stay there every time I’m in Malta😊

It has access to the sea as well, the pool is reasonable size with sea water. The hotel also has a rooftop pool with fewer sunbeds, free of charge. We stayed in the family room, the bed was very large, could fit 3 people

The service however? Outstanding! Cannot thank the staff enough for the warm welcomes, excellent service and kindness especially to Kristian, Njambe and Marie who we met in the pool and then became our group tour host

We were always able to get a spot at the beach club and enjoyed the facilities there immensely. It is only a short walk away, though closes at 6

They have a great selection of Maltese wines which are good and you should try them, after all this is Malta where you are at

The hotel is in the center of the ancient town. The rooms are beautifully designed. The service staff is enthusiastic. There is a beautiful swimming pool on the roof. The scenery outside is very beautiful

All in all, an extraordinary experience :)

The night view is very beautiful

One of the highlights of our stay was spending peaceful days on the rooftop terrace and by the pool. Although it was sometimes tricky to find available sunbeds, we managed to snag a couple on a few lucky occasions

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. I requested an early check-in through booking, and although it wasn’t confirmed via email, they said they would do their best

The hotel was beautiful and food was good but the staff were the real treat. They were very friendly, helpful and consistently exceeded expectations.

The staff is the best of any hotel we have ever stayed in. The facility is first class. Breakfast made to order and quick.

Exceptional Hotel in Senglea The rooftop and pool area is amazing. Not many shops in the area, but you have 5min walk to the Valletta Ferry. Really nice and quiet in the evening with restaurants nearby the marina.

Staff were all fabulous especially Martha, she always greeted you with a fabulous smile. Enjoyed the rooftop terrace and pool even though the water was freezing! Had a delicious meal at hotel restaurant

Beautiful small hotel in old fortress. Our room was huge and had a lovely view over the harbour. Great breakfast, very helpful staff and nice area away from crowds but short ferry ride from Valletta

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Gomerino Hotel in Malta, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience! The hotel's location is simply unbeatable, situated right in the heart of Malta's Storico vibrant atmosphere, making it easy to explore nearby attractions

The panoramic sights are breathtaking and, in my opinion, make the stay absolutely worth it. Overall, I highly recommend the Gomerino Hotel for anyone looking to experience the best of Malta

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was delicious and offered a great variety, ensuring a perfect start to each day. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the superb rooftop view of the harbor

The rooftop bar was nice and inexpensive. One criticism: The breakfast was a little average and the coffee was absolutely appalling. That said, the manager was really lovely and was certainly a star of the restaurant

We had such a wonderful first trip to Malta, also thanks to having a comfortable hotel to stay in. The hotel was super clean, with a classic old world feel but totally updated to be comfortable

The amazing relationship of all the staff, starting from the administrator - Alexandera -!!! (😊professionalism and friendliness, which is beyond praise) to the staff in the kitchen, a very comfortable room with a Maltese balcony, and a very atmospheric design of the entire hotel

The hotel is in walking range of everything interesting. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, especially the Eggs Benedict that everybody takes photos of, and for good reason

Excellent location! Very easy to walk to the main bus station and a short walk to the main streets. The room was very clean and modern. Great options of breakfast, self-service and you can order from the menu too

What we missed was storage space for our citybreak luggage, we had to keep everything in the two cabin trolleys because there were no shelves to put anything on. The nightstand drawers were used for socks and underwear

What a wonderful place to stay. Nice, quiet, clean rooms with all i needed. The hotel has a very central location so you walk out the door and just around the corner you will find great restaurants, bars and sights

Since our return flight was at midnight, they kindly stored our luggage after checkout and even arranged access to the pool shower so we could freshen up after spending the afternoon and evening enjoying the city

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and so quiet dispute it's super central location. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was included and delicious, they even made gluten free versions of things for me

Small hotel on the edge of the historic centre of Valletta. Helpful staff, clean, good breakfast. They will organise taxis and rental cars. Very small gym and no pool.

Great location, warm staff, beautiful room. Walkable to everything that matters in Valletta. It’s also near the Valletta-Sliema Ferry Terminal. I also loved that the bus terminal is about 10 mins away

Had a wonderful stay here: staff is terrific, location is the best and the hotel is very clean (cleaning lady is small but great at the same time!)

The room is amazing, classic style which I like. The location is great, right in the old town. You can walk everywhere, and there are many restaurants nearby. Although the rooftop pool is small, it is also very good

The single room I had was a bit low on the windows (only a small window to the air duct) but that is the only minus I could think of

The most beautiful hotel I Have ever been in there designer is amazing colour choices and decor, the thing that was disappointing was the noise ot the church bells through the nite and working early in morning in hotel

The rooms have high ceilings, spacious, comfortable beds, and are very clean. The breakfast was amazing, quality products, good coffee and the roof terrace is perfect to have an idea of the city center

We had a great 3 nights stay here! The breakfast was delicious, the selection of tea was great. The staff was great, very welcoming. We especially appreciated the complimentary wine, water, teas and fruit

We stayed here over a long weekend, it was a pleasant experience, the hotel is in the old city center of Valletta, near all the main spots, including the Gozo fast ferry terminal

I must say that all the staff there, whatever they are paid, all deserve a pay rise (especially Yitka at reception & the lady in charge of breakfast who made my eggs)

The staff was pleasant and nice. I appreciated a lot the complementary wine and the water offered. Definitely it was a perfect place to discover Valetta

All I can say is I wish I could have stayed here longer. Booked this hotel on my last night in Malta to stay close to the airport coming from Gozo

Christmas holiday here was as usual a delight. Weather was great and the service and staff excellent as usual

It is more than adequate for visitors and has excellent transport connections

However The Waters Edge have managed to provide accomodation for the last five nights of my holiday which makes it better. The total cost is still within my original budget. The Waters Edge is a three star rated hotel

It is closer to the airport and overall works out cheaper than the get them in with cheap rates but then rob them blind hotels in the tourist area. Once again thanks to the staff at the Waters Edge

My eternal thanks go to the staff at the Waters Edge hotel in Birzebbuga for helping to turn what was going to be a disastrous September Holiday in Malta into something more acceptable

I don't need to see any other hotels because I already found my favourite one here 🩵 The staff is super nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable with a stunning view over the bay

Great hotel in a perfect location. Staff is polite and gentle, breakfast is good, a very nice hotel in general. Has a great view to the castille plaza.

This hotel is very well located close to the harbour and Valettas other amenities and attractions. The ataff are polite and helpful and the food served at breakfast perfectly good

It's set in a beautifully maintained historic building, which adds to the experience. The rooftop terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast with great views. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay

The best about the hotels is its location right behind Valletta‘s city gate and a 5min walk from the fast ferry to Gozo and the ferry to the 3 cities scross the port

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Malta!

The windows and room door were not soundproof and the door was rattling when somebody else in the corridor walked by or opened their door. Breakfast was okay but more on the „English“ and thus there were no fresh items

Great and central place to stay in Valleta. The host is very attentive and helpful. The building is historically old but but well preserved. Breakfast is adequate and very filling to last you through out the day

If you have large luggage and can't walk through the city, road is hilly outside of main street, take the inner Valleta bus 133. Bay A1 at the bus terminal by Triton fountain

A characteristic old Valletta home, now turned into a pleasant B&B. The people were delightful and looked after us very well.

We had a wonderful time in this hotel! The staff was very friendly, our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean and the pool and sauna area was amazing as well. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Malta.

Land's End has a great view and a fantastic location. We were close to the ferry to Valletta, the other tour operators, and so many restaurants. Front desk was staffed 100% of the time. It was great, but not perfect

We were told to leave the sliding glass door open (December) for cooling. After a couple nights we complained of mosquito bites: then they turned on the A/C. It didn't swing open on its own, but it didn't lock, either

A really sweet touch was the complimentary bottle of wine they gave us for our anniversary—such a lovely surprise! One of the best things we did was opt for the “Living Room” access

A lovely small hotel on the strand. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the bay and Valletta. Room was a good size for two, with a comfortable bed and well-appointed bathroom

Traditional Maltese breakfast included was excellent Evening snacks and drinks (various teas most nights and beer on Saturdays/Wednesdays) All the staff were very friendly and helpful If we return to Malta, this is where we will stay

Good breakfast, was able to taste local cuisines. Room was decent and clean, loved the view from our room. Staff were so kind.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pjazza Merkanti and would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Malta. We were right in the heart of the city Valetta and everything was so easy to get to

The rooms are delicately decorated and the beds are very comfortable with a lot of pillows. The room itself did not have a window, but with a one way glass door you hardly noticed the lack of view

The king-size beds, the absolutely gorgeous antique patterned tiles, bespoke urban furniture, and luxurious bathroom equipped with gorgeous rain shower are fit for a First Lady

Convenience store round the corner, cafe , botanic gardens (full of cats) and a walk through a pretty park to central valletta (picking up breakfast pastizzi for 50 cents from bakery by Balzunetta restaurant ) (ate in the restaurant twice) We were pleased to be in a quiet suburb but near amenities

Great and quiet hotel very close to city center Great hotel in Valletta outside of the bustling city center. I visited in May and things were already getting pretty crowded. It is an easy 5 min walk to the city gates.

This boutique hotel was amazing! We checked in after hours and it was very easy, we were given instructions days before arriving. Ryan is super friendly and extremely accommodating with anything we needed

Beautifully restored old property with convenient transport options and short walk into the centre of Valletta. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious and elegantly decorated rooms.

The property was done beautifully and we enjoyed having a small balcony (room 11) alongside a huge bathroom with walk in shower and bath. Everything we hoped for was in the room

) Although clean, the upholstered pieces in the suite (couch and the bed's headboard) were a bit shabby. They need a good cleaning, or better yet, replacing. This is why I rated this place 4/5 instead of 5/5

Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. Our room was quiet, had a kitchenette, AC and heat, and a Juliette balcony

An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive

The bed was very comfortable and thoughtful touches were included - tea, coffee, water etc. The room was also serviced daily

Also, many, many restaurants/bars are a quick 2-10 minute walk away. The bus terminal is about a 10 minute walk away. The housekeeper was super attentive and accommodating

We never had to buy water! (You can brush your teeth with the tap water, and I drank it, too, but my hubs didn't like the taste and wouldn't drink the tap water
