Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory.

Really lovely hotel and beach club. Staff were lovely, food really good, great value happy hour. Sadly building works next door were very noisy some mornings but obviously not the hotel’s fault! Sleima and itis next to sea front

Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.

This is not 4 star. we have been going to Malta for the last 10 years and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly. The location is lovely and the cleaning staff were brilliant.

The place is closing soon for a major and much needed refurbishment. Let's hope it returns as one of the best hotels in Malta when it re-opens in 2020.

The hotel's location, service attitude, and internal facilities were all very good, especially the kitchen facilities such as the stove, which were very suitable for family use. This is a very cost-effective hotel with a great location, close to the Sliema pier. It is very convenient to travel to and from Valletta, about five minutes each way. The seaside promenade in Sliema, about a 20-minute walk away, also has a beautiful sea view. The hotel's buffet breakfast is great!

We stayed there for 4 nights. We booked the superior, the room was very nice! The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the bathroom didn’t have any window so there was a bit mold in there. We stayed at the wonderful Palazzo Violetta in Sliema, from May 25th to June 1st. Our stay couldn't have been any better! Our apartment was absolutely incredible. My pillow has blood stains, I told the cleaning staff, but they didn't change the pillowcases for me. But the location is good, private beach, breakfast is ok to some extent, quite impressed.

I really loved staying at this hotel, Naxxar where the hotel is located is away from the main touristy areas, it’s secluded yet central to close proximity to the bus station which is 6 minutes by walk and if you have Bolt installed you can easily book a ride to your destination. Wonderful stay This was a trip for my birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Fantastic service, from the minute we arrived, the drinks to the jacuzzi and the helpfulness of the staff. The bed was so comfy, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a firmer pillow. The hotel is in a very quiet area and ubers can drop you straight to the door. Lovely place to stay. We were there just for 2 days and loved it. The location is a bit off the beaten track but worked perfectly logistically for us. We stayed 4 nights at the hotel - we were not shown around the facilities and given a room that needed to be accessed from the outside on the top level which was very confusing. Area seems safe and caters to tourists well, apartments are close to big hotels and other accommodation so lots of restaurants near by. The bus service is really good too. The airport is around 40 minutes away by bus. The lobby is nice and staff are lovely. The hotel was okay but much lower than expected. I have never seen a hotel that would clean rooms every 3 days and even that cleaning was subpar and done hastily. Staff mentioned they might not be able to do cleaning and their shift was about to be over, likely they don't have enough staff and overworked. This is a very old building with subpar maintenance. It was okay, clean room, friendly service, good base for trips. The sea view was amazing as others options will be with quite noisy street. Service is really supported. My AC was broken and they fixed it just immediately. For bad things, poor equipment in the kitchen. My toaster was broken. A few pots but without frying pan. Good clean hotel, very large rooms. We've had a 2 bed apartment that is significant in size. Staff lovely and helpful but not overbearing. Very acceptable as a self contained apartment. There is a restaurant next door and many other eating places easily within walking distance. Very limited compared to the price paid

An absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel exceeded all my expectations – beautiful facilities, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool and spa were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely come back!

Great hotel, great people, no one who speaks English or French

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the indoor pool was a great perk. The atmosphere was pleasant, and many little details made the stay even better. There were only a few minor things that could be improved, but overall we were very satisfied. We would definitely come back!

Appalling service!! We lost electricity multiple times a day/night in a room and when we approached staff they did not seem to really care or do anything about it. It is obviously an ongoing issue but failed to tell any guests. I have tried emailing them whilst we were there as well to try and get some resolution/refund/room change but no one would respond.
