Lone Pine, Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

Breakfast was amazing with plenty of selection which suits Malaysian's taste bud. Served with both western and eastern cuisine. We get an upgrade to our room as the room we selected is fully booked. Served with welcome drink and snacks during check-in. Room is clean and surrounding are quiet and relaxing. The bed is comfortable.
However, the weather is not conducive, and we would like to visit again during a nicer weather condition. The tub at the balcony is slightly dirty and can be improved. Overall, the stay was decent and will definitely visit again.

Very unassuming beachfront property, especially from the main road.
But once you enter this resort, it blows your mind! Manicured lawns, immaculate pool, and pristine beach within 20 m from the pool. The sound of the waves was music to my ears as I sipped a cocktail by the pool side. I spent 4 happy hours at the bar yesterday evening and got to catch one of the most amazing sunsets!. Best of all, it is private, and this resort only attracts a certain segment of society. So if you are looking for a place that can give you the Ritz Carlton service standard while still ticking all the boxes for superb food and amazing rooms, give this placet a try. It is a bit pricy but well worth every cent!

The most remarkable aspect is the room design, which includes a balcony and a long sitting bench. The bathroom design is excellent, with an attached fitting wardrobe, and the lighting creates a pleasant ambiance. However, it would be even better if the toilet bowl were located on the left side, as it would be more discreet. I would prefer if the sitting benches facing beach instead of the pool only where by we can enjoy the sunset The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but please consider reviewing whether all the identification cards for all guests need to be photocopied. Overall, it is a great experience

My daughter, her fiance and myself enjoyed the stay at Lone Pine; the laid back style, the old charm, the food, the beverages and most of all the very warm and friendly service from all the staff impressed us very much. I would recommend this place if one wants a calm, take it easy, "do nothing specific" vacation time in a place which is quiet , not noisy and no aggressive and sometimes annoying tourist crowd and most of all a very good service from the staff. Now I would like to propose to the hotel management to have three bedroom opportunity so that a family can stay comfortably with a good sleep....... Also have some choice in the breakfast menu with equal emphasis on other items other than Malay choices alone.

Only been here for a friend's wedding. But I have to write a review on this Hotel! IT'S SO PRETTY. I love how you guys arranged the landscape and the wedding itself.
This hotel has a good exit to a sandy beach.
This hotel has served such delicious food i ever had than in most hotels in Penang especially their chicken lemon dish).
This Hotel has a good garden at the back.
This Hotel is expensive to stay in, i guess the room must be amazing.

My husband and i went there for 3 days and 2 nights, to celebrate my husband's birthday. Booked a standard room there but they upgraded our room to the garden room at the ground floor. It was such a wonderful gesture and we truly appreciate it. But honestly, the room doesn't have the privacy, people walked in front of our room and we had a noisy neighbour. And the room didn't have the plunge bath like what we booked initially. Told the receptionist we want to change back, no need to upgrade us because we want that plunge bath. Again, their warmth and helpful staff entertained to our request and they gave us a wonderful room with superb view! Thank you so much for your great service and friendliness. We included the romantic dinner at the garden area, but unfortunately, it rained heavily that night, they changed the location to the library area indoor. The food they served during dinner was delicious! The only set back was the breakfast, the dining area is quite small and not enough food variety. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about the place!

Slightly hidden from the main road. Nice room and served good breakfast. Stayed in the two storey block adjacent to the beach. Quite and exclusive for family getaway
