FOOD - EXCELLENT ALTHOUGH A BIT PRICEY

Very pleasant hotel. While the staff always makes itself available and demonstrates a high level of professionalism, the facilities are just awesome!
With regards to the buffet and the restaurants, the quality of the fresh food served was incredible!!! Special mention for the PANTAI GRILL😋

St Regis by name only
Being a loyal Marriott bonvoy elite member and having visited many St Regis properties global I felt let down by this stay. Overall the property presents well but is let down by the fine details, service and activities. If you are booking a stay I would highly recommend booking a private pool room as the main pool was always full of unsupervised children. There is a separate kids pool but this was not used once.
Some of the positives..
The property is in a very idyllic location
Restaurant staff are very welcoming and helpful
The fine dining restaurant Kayuputi is truly world class and has fantastic views for sunset
The negatives
The butler and general onboarding process was not well handled. Some offerings such as restaurants are only available on specific days and this was not explained. No help was given to planning our time at the hotel.
My preferences were not acknowledged, after several repeated requests. For example, specific pillow types had to be requested. Only enough towels and robes were provided for one guest although the booking was for two. Every single day after housekeeping I had to request additional towels which is just so strange for this level of property.
I notified the hotel via email of a special occasion for our visit and this was not recognised at all.
The beach was double red flag (no swimming) for our entire stay however the westin (200 meters away) was always open. When we asked why it was closed we were given no answer.
The general F&B offering is very expensive / overpriced and almost 50% cheaper at the Westin which just doesn't sit well. For example the same cocktail was 60% cheaper at the Westin… the exact same drink!
Housekeeping was just generally not good. No surfaces cleaned etc. The table in our suite was so sticky it resembled a dive bar.

From start to finish our stay was exemplary. Check in was smooth and efficient. Due to some hotel guests being inconsiderate and playing music from their phones (nothing to do with the hotel) ruining the ambiance, the manager offered to move us to the coffee shop with free coffee and cake while we waited for our room. This was much appreciated and great customer service. We had a butler who unpacked when we arrived and repacked our suitcases at the end. We had a WhatsApp chat with them so we could get speedy responses to any topic, including our allocation of 6 complimentary coffees per day. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Staff cannot do enough for you, everything is done quickly and efficiently with a big smile. Breakfast is fantastic. Best pain au chocolat I’ve had in the world, in all the countries and cities I have visited. Compliments to their pastry chef. The beach and pool are beautiful, very clean and tranquil. The sea bass from the beach grill was delicious. The room had the most amazing view, bathroom was huge and bed very comfortable. One small critique would be the night market buffet which we had twice, the menu didn’t really change and as the beach grill was closed we couldn’t order up from there. The general manager should be very proud of their hotel and staff. Highly recommend.

We visited St Regis unannounced for lunch and were extremely impressed by the service we received from all the staff . They treated us like guests despite the fact we were staying in another resort . We felt like we were guests at the hotel being treated so well. They even arranged a hotel car to take us back to our hotel( 45 min drive) . Beautiful hotel, ultra 5 star decor and amazing staff. Thank you

Service: Amazing. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. Raj (concierge), Raj (transportation manager), Beatrice (reception) and the whole team was just great.
For parents: They hotel does not offer babysitting services but you can hire one easily through their local apps or sites. The hotel staff also prioritises safety by ensuring all babysitters provide proof of ID. We appreciated that attention to details.

Sensational location and wonderful room and facilities. I highly recommend the spa for a hot stone massage. The butler service was a wonderful surprise, with lovely prompt service. The beach area was beautiful and the beach bar cocktails were excellent.

An absolutely wonderful stay. Beautiful rooms, super friendly staff, great breakfast, private beach, sunset cocktails, superb dinners @ Kayuputi and then the small touches like free ironing each day.

4. Sun beds were consistently fully “occupied”. Guests would leave a towel and bag there for hours without using the beds to reserve the spots. For a 5 star hotel, you would imagine they could invest is a few more chairs and umbrellas.
5. Tried to book a pottery class which was an advertised and scheduled activity but was told it was cancelled until after we were checking out

Fantastic stay! Really enjoyed the stay here. The staff is all so warm and friendly, and really kudos to the housekeeping for cleaning the room so efficiently. We really enjoyed the desserts (esp vanilla creme brûlée) and the drinks from the bar. Love the breakfast spread as well! We will definitely be back!
