G Hotel Gurney in Georgetown

Great stay here - staff are pleasant and polite, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was tasty, and location is conveniently beside Gurney Plaza with multiple shopping and dining options.

Made a request during booking for a complimentary cake to celebrate my mum’s birthday, and they very kindly noted it down and provided one.

Minor areas for improvement - made multiple calls from my room to the guest service which were unanswered over a span of 10-15 mins; bathroom door for room 1020 couldn’t close easily; and the flush for the toilet bowl also appears to be lacking power for a proper flush. But otherwise all good and a recommended hotel for Penang.

I booked this hotel for my family to stay … the room is not very new but overall is ok .. just that my parents said the room can hear the noise from the corridor … but the hotel staff service are good … breakfast spread was ok …

Hotel is generally good but far out to too many places and also my suites room has lots of ants. Need more thorough cleaning

Location is excellent with 2 shopping malls nearby, room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is great with lot of varieties to choose. Staff are friendly and attentive. Happy with the stay, will be back soon.

Hotel got ice cream and water when you waiting for check in . View no so good . Hotel is nice shopping mall just beside gurney plaza & paragon . Can walk and high tea . There cafe nice and cheese cake at gurney plaza quite good

First time staying here, very comfortable room! It’s next to Gurney Plaza which made it super convenient to eat and shop here. Will come again next time

G Hotel Gurney is attached to Gurney Plaza Shopping and is at an excellent location. The suite is spacious and breakfast is included, lounge access from 6-8pm everyday too. The minibar inside suite is also included.

Location is super near to a very big mall which is Gurney Plaza, just walk less than 2min after exit hotel lobby
Cleaniness are well maintained. Super friendly staff, feels welcome the moment u stepped in.
I took the executive package which comes with free flow drinks, food, and also simple dinner and free flow alcohol in the evening. However if you are planning for food trip around Penang you might want to opt out this.
Free parking, decent size swimming pool for children, great gym with lots of equipment but might be a bit cramp, great variety for breakfast buffet.
They share facilities with nearby G Hotel Kelawei like swimming pool, gym and lounge. Besides Kelawei has a pool party which is free to play. They have a buggy to bring you there too.

Cons
I got a room with bad working AC. Took some time to get it done.
I took the buffet dinner at 168 but not much choices and even though the theme is crab but the crab always gone the moment they refill and you need to wait min 10min till the next round. Would recommend to go outside for a better dinner.

Great stay. Great location. Connected to Gourney Plaza. Make it easier to find restaurant & shops.
