I stayed at GBW Hotel in Johor Bahru and was impressed by how spacious and well-equipped it is. Although the hotel is a bit old, it offers complete facilities. My deluxe room was very clean and had everything I needed. The service was excellent—from the front desk staff to the housekeeping team, everyone was attentive and friendly.
Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. I also appreciated the free parking, which made my stay even more convenient and worry-free. Overall, it was great value for money and I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Booked through Agoda, but unfortunately, we mistakenly selected the wrong check-in date — one day earlier than intended. Thankfully, the Front Office Executive, Mas kindly helped us to adjust the date, and we are very grateful for their assistance. Other staffs are very friendly.

Although this hotel is listed as a 4-star property, it unfortunately did not live up to expectations. The building appears very dated, and the carpet in the room was noticeably dirty. While the room itself was quite spacious, the overall atmosphere felt more eerie than inviting, almost like something out of a horror movie.

I stayed in a cozy, spacious room and comfortable. Today, May 18, 2025, is my last night here before the hotel begins its major renovation.
I’m glad I got to experience this lovely place beforehand and look forward to seeing the refreshed space in the future!

Quite possibly the worst hotel in human history.
The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the dinosaurs went extinct—complete with a thriving cockroach colony that probably pays rent. The sofa was decorated with mysterious liquid stains that told a horror story I never wanted to imagine. As for the table, I’m 90% sure it was salvaged from a landfill during a thunderstorm.
We didn’t check out—we escaped.
Asked for a refund, got denied. Apparently, nightmares come at full price.
Highly recommended… if your goal is to lose your appetite and question all your life choices. Or if you are a cockroach lover!

Booked it on Agoda. Deluxe twin room was big and well furnished but old.. the door knob of the toilet could be detached if you pull it with moderate force. Also weird black marks on the mirror. But the staffs were hospitable and the convenience store at the lobby is a very good addition. You get what you pay for.

The hotel need a lots of improvements on their glass windows, so people who’s stay in their room can see how beautiful the views from the hotel. The manager in the restaurant that serve us buffet is helpful & pleasant. They really needs to improve on their friendliness & approachable towards their guests. So I may say the service just ok hotel need improvement & tv channel in the room should have the same as at the dining room.
