Grand Sentosa Hotel in Johor

This is probably one of the worst hotel experiences ever. And this is coming from a frequent traveler to JB who stayed in at least 50+ hotels in JB.

The concierge was too slow in processing the check-in resulting in a 20-minute wait and a long queue at the front desk. The carpet along the corridor reeks of a stale smell. There was no aircon as well. The design on the wall was ugly and it is obvious it was painted with a black marker. The room is visibly dirty with strands of hairs on the carpet in the room. There are watermarks and dirty stains on the walls.

The room towels smell like piss and smoke. Thank goodness I'm just staying one night. I would have check-out immediately if I had no other place to go. Never come back to this hotel ever again.

We understood that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel. However when we checked into our room, the room itself reeked of cigarette smell. When we enter the room, there was no chair to the desk. There was no hangers in the cupboard. When I open the cupboard door, cigarette smell was evident. The shower towels are also reeked with cigarette smell . There was no face towels, hand towels and bath mats. It was also observed that walls has cracks. The aircon ducts also blew cigarette smoke into our room. We had to get deodorant to remove the cigarette smell. The hot shower was not functioning. The water pressure was weak. Overall experience was poor staying in this hotel.
