The Wembley – A St Giles Hotel, Penang

Very accomodating hotel stay. The nutmeg drink service daily at lobby is delicious.

Hotel location is excellent. Use the side road of carpark for an easy walk to Cecil Street Food Court. If you walk straight across the traffic light to Komtar, you can ride the free CAT bus (15 minute frequency). Or else take GRAB. Easy walk to 1st Avenue Mall that is connected to Prangin Mall (2nd storey). The hotel is well maintained & quiet facing as requested for our 4 night stay. It would be nice if hair conditioner & body lotion is provided. The fridge is nicely located at eye level & intentionally left empty. Swimming pool was good & had a nice view of the surrounding area. Gym opens from 6am to 10pm. Front staff was friendly & allowed us an early check in (around noon) & late check out (2pm). Overall, I would stay here again for my future visit to Penang.

Stayed two nights with parents. Both rooms were fairly maintained, “fairly” in the sense that furnitures couldn’t close properly, stains, wear and tear visible, and old televisions with blurry displays.

However, service was top notch and location was unbeatable. I hope some upgrades can be done, especially on par with the price that we paid for it.

Overall I’d come back to stay again, if I see some upgrades done.

We were upgraded to premium lounge, which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
It's a great gesture for me as I am going through chemo therapy, the hygiene issue is top priority for me. I was truly appreciative to have a quiet and peaceful environment to have all my meals in the hotel.
St. Giles has the most comfortable linens that you can find. I slept well and hope to return again in very near future.

First time staying in St Giles Wembley Penang. Location in Georgetown is very convenient to visit various tourist attractions. Hotel room is spacious. Receptions, housekeeping and cafe staffs helpful and friendly. Will definitely book the hotel again next time travelling to Penang.

Nice place to stay and the staff are pretty helpful making our stay a pleasant experience. Moreover, the hotel is located in a very convenience location. Can easily walk to most of the places of interest.

The room was big & clean...the hotel just next beside monetary tower, the shopping mall also just cross a main road.

All good. Near shopping complex. Very clean but the room a bit small than my expectation for executive room. Breakfast at executive lounge. Request for baby coat and my baby sleep well🤍

Location is quite convenient even though the building required further renovation and design.
