Hotel Penaga

We stayed at Hotel Penaga for 5 nights. The staff are super friendly and helpful and it's in the heart of Georgetown so really close to top tourist attractions. The aesthetic and architecture is really nice however I'm disappointed to say the hotel didn't live up to the photos and 4 star rating. It's such a shame because the staff were so nice and it has so much potential but I think they take for granted the "historical aesthetic" of this place. As in the upkeep and maintenance of the rooms is really lackluster. The jacuzzi was dirty, some doorknobs were broken, sink taps had design features missing and the furniture looked ill-maintained. The worst part of this stay was funnily enough the location, which is a double edged sword. It's in such a great central location but it's right next to a scooter shop. The noise is unbearable so we had to move rooms which they thankfully did immediately but even in our second room it's still very loud. I'd suggest the hotel advertises that these rooms do have this noise issue and actually lowering the price of these rooms because quite frankly they're unliveable. I hope the hotel can sort these issues out because it really does have such potential to be amazing.

amazing hotel with beautiful interior! great location within walking distances to alot of great food options out there! must go for art lovers! :D
