Hilton Garden Inn Krakow Airport

After three weeks travelling in Europe, Hilton Garden Restaurant was the first place asking for a tip. It is a common practice in North America, but in Europe it is voluntary. It does not make you feel great when the waiter is standing there with a machine and asks you about the % you want to tip.
I guess Hilton should pay their employees better wages, so they do not have to embarrass themselves and their guests.

We booked a room on Booking.com, but it happened that we had to cancel the reservation, but it was impossible to do this because the hotel set a condition that the reservation could not be canceled, although there was a whole month left before the reservation. The hotel benefits from its convenient location near the airport and monopoly in that location. Do not book a room here, especially since the price is high.

This place is a scam. My reservation was under a different name, but with my credit card. They refused to let me check-in and said it was part of their "policy" (which it's not anywhere on their website). When I brought up the fact that I had already paid for the room, they said it did not matter. The said I could pay for a second room and put it under my name, which of course was double the cost of my original room, as they only had "premium rooms". When I contact their manager, they said their service was perfect.

Absolute scam. I recommend staying anywhere else around the airport.

First your agent said I could call the person and have them say it was okay. How does that ensure any privacy or safety, since you have no way to verify that the person is truly who they say they are on the phone?

Second. I did not bring this on myself. No where in the booking process is your policy stated. They only sated that after I attempted to check in. So how is someone supposed to know the policy exist if it is not declared until it is "violated".

Third, you should check the credit card, not the reservation name. Someone is going to be billed for the account, so your policy makes it incredibly easy for fraud to occur.

Fourth - you're response is exactly what I would expect from someone who does not care about their customers. You're blaming the whole thing on me and the solution that was provided wasn't even a solution.
