Nern Chalet Beachfront Hotel

This hotel, this room, is very overpriced. Stayed 3 nights in the sea view room with wrap around deck. These windows were the dirtiest I've ever seen in my 40 years off travels. They came and cleaned the large windows but left the windows hard to reach undone. Aircon was musty smell. The room condition and décor was old and worn. The breakfast is what you would expect at a much cheaper hotel. You are far from city center but can walk 8 min to the Baht Bus station or use the Grab app (we had a motorbike). There is no service at this hotel other than the poor breakfast. So if you want to eat you will have to trek some. I saw only one restaurant nearby that looks good but opens at 6pm. I found that the small restaurants on Monkey Hill, that have a coastline view, had good food options and stay open until after sunset. Their mixed cocktails are not great. I wouldn't stay here again. FYI - I think the review rating is higher because dogs are allowed so owners love this place for that.
