Hotel Selection Pattaya

We recently had a horrendous 4-day stay with our family (including a child) at Hotel Selection Pattaya, and it fell far short of even basic expectations.

Unprofessional and Rude Staff: Throughout our stay, the staff displayed a complete lack of professionalism. They were consistently rude and dismissive of our concerns, even attempting to avoid dealing with issues altogether.

Unhygienic and Unusable Bathroom: The bathtub was a nightmare. It lacked hot water, and their solution was to propose filling it with scalding water from a heater pipe! To top it off, the tub was filthy with sand and hair clogging the drain. The sink situation wasn't much better - no stopper and poor water pressure.

Broken Amenities and Room Misery: The TV was outdated, and the air conditioner initially didn't function. After much arguing, they finally agreed to change our room. However, the new room's bathtub was just as bad, though the air conditioning initially worked. Unfortunately, this "fix" was short-lived, as the air conditioner started leaking a day later.

Unacceptable Standards: When questioned about these issues, the staff made an unbelievable statement: "This isn't a 4-star hotel, it's a 2-star." They even suggested removing the misleading 4-star rating from online platforms!

Ruined First Day and Vacation Woes: The constant need to argue with staff about basic amenities like hot water and a functioning air conditioner completely wasted our first day and significantly dampened our vacation spirit.

The Only Positive: The balcony offered an amazing beach view, but that was the sole redeeming factor of this hotel.

Overall, Hotel Selection Pattaya was a complete disappointment. We strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. Rude staff, unhygienic bathrooms, and malfunctioning amenities made this stay a nightmare. The only "selection" you'll make here is the selection to avoid this hotel altogether!!

The rooms and design looks creepy and the smells are a bit off the stuff are nice but the worst thing is the room 415 it’s hunted if ur trying to go to the hotel pls do not choose room 415 because it happens at night when everyone was sleeping it was only me and my sister we are waiting for 12am because it was her birthday and after my brothers came to surprise at 12am we sing happy birthday
and then when they go back to the room the ghost follow them we heard knocking and whispering all night

$400 was stolen from my luggage in less than 24 hours. I believe one of the staff or a collaboration of them has taken it. I was refused the full video of the time I left for the day a 6 hour window. The first time I noticed my baggage was being open was when I went to get breakfast. They didnt have enough time so nothing was stolen but they forgot to close my luggage in their hast. I took a picture of the placement for the luggage and combo number as a way to verify if they are opening it. I got out and came back 4 hours later and the placement of the luggage was off and the combo number was backwards. I looked inside and $400 was missing from the total. They did not take everything so that it wouldnt be obvious but i counted my money before i left and took pictures as evidence. I told the receptionist my story but was not taken seriously. They gave me a 4 minute clip denying theft happened. They rudely dared me to go to the police after asking to see the full video which I did. The police only created a report and did not helped out further. I believe the staff knew the outcome and was able to profit from thefts from their hotel guests. This will likely to continue in the future as it is a low risk high reward for the thieves.

I don’t recommend to stay at this hotel. It is a run down hotel. The room was dirty. The receptionist was unfriendly and rude. There was no hot water in the shower. I reported this problem to the receptionist but she didn’t solve this problem at all.

Room, location, and service gets a 1 out of 5 star because I can't sleep in my room. I can constantly hear loud engines from cars and can't sleep because of that.
