The best resort for something a little quirky with wonderful family vibes.
We came her in April for our honeymoon with our 2 year old and extended family. It was absolutely perfect! The beach was shaded all day long by the enormous trees so perfect for kids to play. The rooms were all little huts with luxury interior and stunning views. The drinks and food were yummy and very affordable. Plenty of options for our little boy too. The staff were so helpful and happy. You can either walk to the centre of phi phi or hop on a long tail boat for a small cost. It was tucked in the trees away from the main noise but accessible when you want to go out in the evenings. Absolutely loved every second!

Overall ok but wouldn't come back.
Pros:
A la carte menu good and prices seemed comparable to other tourist trap restaurants on island as whole island is a tourist trap.
Hammocks and balcony outside to nice if you have time to enjoy it. We didn't, unfortunately.
Nice secluded beach albeit very rocky so watch where you step.
Cons:
No idea that only way to hotel was via dinky taxi boat that dumps you into the water (above knee) so avoid trainers and long trousers.
When we arrived: the people with the most expensive rooms/bungalows were taken to their rooms immediately, irrespective of if you had gotten there first.
AC broken in room 17. Either Baltic temperature at constant full blast or off.
Holes in mosquito nets on windows allowing too many little friends in.
Staff were least accommodating and least kind we have experienced in our three week Thailand holiday (everyone in Bangkok and Chiang Mai was absolutely wonderful).
Small rooms were uncomfortably small. Nowhere to put your luggage or similar (no space for night stands or chairs or anything. )
Also the small rooms are a good 10-15 min hike from reception where you could easily break a leg or similar as the pavers over the ground are all unstable or broken so bring hauled luggage at your own risk.
Breakfast was varied but not completely edible. Their shrimp dumplings and bean paste buns were put out into the steamer still frozen and was fed to guests that way.
Constant construction compromised our ability to enjoy the scenery. Seems like that's been an issue for a long while based on other reviews.

We had a great room with a large, separate living room and a bathtub in the bathroom and a great seaview. The resort is very quiet but be aware of monkeys and make sure all doors and windows are closed at all times! We loved the stay at this resort and had a great time! See you again hopefully soon :)

Well...I'd say this place might be good in a while if they finish renovation, now there's a constant construction site everywhere. But you should be prepared that it's literally an eco-hotel in the middle of the jungle, you can break a leg or two and you can also be attacked by monkeys. The beach is small and there are lots of rocks, Long beach is much safer and more comfortable. The breakfast is also not the best. I would definitely not recommend this hotel :( for the same price you can get a much better hotel

Perfect accommodation, small private beach, really nice private rooms 👌 massages just couple meters from restaurant with beautiful view... the most important thing for us was that there were not many people, you could chill and lay down, not hearing anyone around shouting if you want a can of coke or water taxi, etc. Etc. If you want to go to the city, you can even walk around the beach or take a boat. Few quite decent restaurants around as well.

Amazing remote location on super clean private beach. Staff are really nice, the rooms are really cool (try and stay in the Rimlay rooms with a seas view) and the breakfast is great.
Note. Do not stay here if you can’t climb out of a moving boat on a beach or walk .7km into town up and down hill….

A beautiful, quiet, secluded place away from the lively atmosphere of Phi Phi center.
The beach is small and private and you can get a massage while you look out to sea. The restaurant has amazing food and the tables are just off the beach. A longtail boat takes 5 mins to tonsai pier.
You will be picked up from there free of charge on your arrival to Phi Phi and be taken to Viking Nature Resort.
A paradise on earth, we will be revisiting again next year.

Really beautiful rustic resort. We stayed for 1 night in Rimlay 5 which was absolutely beautiful. We could have easily stayed another few nights as the place was just so scenic and chilled out. As we were there 1 night we just spent the day on their lovely little beach and had cocktails and dinner in their restaurant. Worth paying a little bit more for one of the rooms near the beach. Would absolutely recommend this place if you just want a chilled and relaxing time in beautiful surroundings.

Amazing experience! Before I get into the review. If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you. This is a rustic atmosphere with many uneven walking surfaces.
We stayed in a Tree House villa with panoramic sea views. We could have easily stayed here for a week and the serene tropical jungle, falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the private beach below. It felt like we were in our own private beach getaway. Out of 5 hotels on our trip this was number 1. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially with our luggage to and from the room. Good restaurant and food. The private beach was beautiful with great views. You could walk to town along the water which takes about 15 minutes. Or hop in the long tail boat that cost 100 baht each way. Viking Hotel may not be for everyone but if you like adventure and off the beaten path then this is your place!

The boat departures are few and far in between but once we arrived the beach and resort were beautiful.
The staff had a sour face. They make you feel like cattle, which leaves a bad first impression. The receptionist was in a rush and kept screaming at me repeatedly “you pay now” while I’m still asking questions. Very rude!
Greedy setup, you have to pay 100-150 every time you want to go to town and again when you get back. You have to pay for the pool table kayak, and just about everything.
The restaurant food is bland, and again the waiters are so rude and you’re of course stuck far from civilization unless you want to pay to go to town and waste time getting on and off the boats which are not always really available.
If you like to be isolated, the resort is nice but be prepared to spend time and money leaving and getting back.
