Lunar Cappadocia Hotel

Absolutely loved my stay here! While the location is almost at the top of the uphill road, its view is amazing! Staffs were always professional and friendly. The atmosphere of the cave hotel is always warm and dimmed but never scary. Hotel is also near the main Goreme town area and is a walking distance to the Open Air Museum. An absolute gem!

From the beginning quite worry about high up to the mountains but actually was perfect location,quiet. Not long walk to center. All Staff were excellent and very helpful. Everyone born to be work in service industry. We came and stay here first time and hope be back and stay here again. Terrace was perfect ,nice and quiet. Especially you can watch the balloons.

I had a wonderful stay at Lunar Cappadocia Hotel! The property is spacious with a lovely garden where you can relax. Two adorable dogs act as friendly “security guards” around the reception and garden area, and several cats roam around—very sociable and sweet.

In the early mornings, some of the cats would peek into the window and meow, trying to come inside. It was incredibly cute and added a warm, homely feeling to the stay.

The two men at the front desk were both very friendly. We had a great time teaching each other some words in Turkish and Japanese, which made the experience even more memorable.

I would love to come back again. You can reach great balloon-viewing spots just a few minutes away on foot. There are also restaurants and the town center within easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

Amazing rooms, best service, best locality and the best breakfast.
Smooth check in and the most friendly front desk.
The family room we got was spacious and roomy. Bathroom is massive with separate shower and bathtub area. House keeping team is the best and they keep the room and bathroom fresh every day. We were there for 3 days and every day we felt like we were entering a new room.
We booked guided tour through them too. We got an amazing guide. Mr Hakam was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were taken around in Lunar's Mercedes Vito and the driver was like a family member.
Coming to the breakfast, fresh, tasty and what a spread. Most of the items in the menu repeat on all days but still you enjoy it.
Another important point is around the location of the hotel. It is on a very high point and don't miss the early morning view of the balloons from there. You can view them right from the main door of the rooms. They also have decks at various levels in case you want more exclusive pictures.
The friendly dog in the hotel 'pickles' is an added perk. He is very cute and friendly. They also have a few cats (obviously when you are in Turkey) and they are also very friendly.
We finally got the airport drop also arranged via them.
In summary, pick this place with your eyes closed if you get a deal that suits your budget.

Literally obsessed with this hotel.
It is so aesthetic and cute. Makes me feel like I’m staying in a fairytale land.
The rooms are huge and love staying in the cave.
It’s a 10 minute walk down hill to the centre of town
The breakfast is more traditional style Turkish, however we were able to request fried eggs in the morning.
The hotel staff are so lovely and helpful.
I love the touch of all the animals on the property, I’m not a fan of cats but the cats are more like dogs and so cuddly and cute.
Would 100% stay here again and would reccomend to anyone.

This place welcomes its guests by entering a nice and quiet courtyard with a perfectly green garden filled with small trees, flowers and everything feels so calming and relaxing. Lunar Hotel has cave type rooms and they’re all different. Generally them rooms are big enough and based on my experience, I had A/C in mine which I used since it was mid August.

We got two single and comfy beds, there was tea, water, coffee and few snacks. Bathroom is pretty big: shower and bathtub, wc and a spacious sink. Wished there was better lighting but it was okay anyway. Other than common toiletries, a hairdryer is also provided.
My room had also a small balcony over the courtyard which was pretty cute.
Staff will clean and change towels everyday.

I had breakfast included in my booking and went for it only once and felt bad I almost missed it as they offer a big variety of options spacing from cereals, biscuits to fresh and dried fruits, eggs cooked in different ways, cold cuts, cakes, yogurts, juices, milks, and so on. Everything was fresh and eventually hot. Would recommend it.

Speaking of the view: there’s a spacious terrace with pillows and carpets and it’s all very aesthetic. Such a nice spot for few pics with all the hot air balloons during sunrise. We were lucky we only came across a couple that morning therefore we basically had the whole place for us for pics.
The view is great but surely spots on the hills is definitely way better than a terrace.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking spots available right next to the hotel. Getting there can be confusing but easy to get to. They offered few activities although we had all planned previously.

This cave hotel is fantastic! It was exactly what we needed to start our vacation right! The grounds of the hotel are luscious and green. The room was super clean and had everything needed including sleepers. The hotel is located on the higher ground and has a terrace with a spectacular view of the Goreme, perfect for sunsets and watching balloons at sunrise. The breakfast was the best we had!

Perfect 4D3N stay at Cappadocia. The room is clean and equipped with the basic amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful; they are very responsive via email and assisted me for the airport transfer booking. The hotel is located at the top of the hill where you can enjoy the view of the hot balloons in the morning or a perfect sunset in the evening at the terrace bar. Last but not least, the hotel serves a very good breakfast spread, I really enjoy the breakfast! I highly recommend Lunar Cappadocia Hotel to everyone visiting Cappadocia. I will definitely come back again.

If I could, I would give 6 starts.
Rooms are clean, spacious and new. Breakfast has a good variety.
Premises very nice with a great rooftop terrace. From here, you have a great view on the passing balloons.
The staff is super attentive and helpful.
The hotel is only a short walk into the center

Staff are very friendly and helpful, the location was very central with only a 5 min walk into town (downhill).
Our room was very big which was refreshing compared to other parts of Europe we’ve visited on our trip.
The view of the hot air balloons in the morning was amazing from the viewing platform.
Breakfast was delicious.
