The Viking Nona was advertised as a 4* hotel and the package we had was all inclusive. On arrival immediately found the receptionist did not speak English, (the language barrier was to be a constant issue throughout our stay as we found out). The hotel offers free WiFi however what is not mentioned at the time of booking is that this is limited to the reception area only and if you want WiFi in your rooms or around the hotel it will set you back 18 euros each for seven days so not the best start being ripped for an extra 36 euros. We booked a double room but for some reason it had an extra single bed in it, which proved to be a help as the double bed was so uncomfortable my wife could not sleep in it, the mattress was old, worn out and with hard spots in numerous areas. The air conditioning was found to be in the same worn out state and did not work consistently, with the unit only pushing out a very low volume of air, it varied from cool to luke warm which given the temperatures made getting a good nights sleep impossible, we had to resort to sleeping with the balcony door wide open to gain some relief with night time temperatures at 24 Celsius being cooler than the room. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, this was due to " an issue" in the past which led to these being removed apparently, so if you wanted coffee you had to trek to the dining area and use the machine. There were no plugs for the bath or the hand basin so i had to try to make my own out of the paper soap dish in the bathroom to be able to shave in the mornings, the shower unit is also old and consists of a shower head and tap configuration in the bath whilst the shower was powerful the shower head would not remain at the top position without being held there it was also very slippy in the bath as the bath did not drain well and after a shower you were almost ankle deep in water care must be taken in getting in and out as floor also very slippery with no non slip mat or covering. The room was in a tatty state with water staining visible on the walls below the air conditioning unit, there were also chipped plaster patches around the patio door reveals. The architrave around the entrance door was loose and showed to be attached via silicone sealant with a patch of missing plaster around the right hand side. Food was found to cater to mainly Russian / Eastern European taste consisting of rice and a minced meat dish from the previous evening served as part of breakfast, there was also hard boiled eggs salad and a variety of cold meats and fruit available which was not particularly appetising. There were fried eggs and omelettes cooked but these were usually over done and luke warm The evening meals consisted of the same /very similar fare, however the lunches were reasonable to be fair with cold chicken and other meats with fresh mixed salads and fruit plus the usual sweet treats but as we did not want to be tied to a time when out and about we decided

Where do I start… From the moment that we had arrived at this hotel there were problems. First off the hotel staff were rude and incompetent and didn’t understand a word of English but could understand Russian and German as well as Turkish surely they would cater to English speakers too. The security guard constantly threatened us with the police due to ‘noise’ The ‘hotel rep’ demanded that we come to the meeting at 10:30am when we had landed late at night and just wanted to enjoy our day He was repetitively repeating the same things over again The rooms were all messed up and the air con didn’t work which resulted in a lot of room changes. The rooms were also messed up with The staff didn’t care for the health and safety of the hotel especially around the pool area which in return resulted in a major injury and another child had also slipped straight after The drinks at the bar very limited to what we could drink as usually for non alcohol drinkers they have a mock tail menu but we could only have fizzy drinks. The food was mediocre to say the least Food has no flavour and it was continuously the same type of dishes such as pasta and rice There was favouritism towards the guests who were Eastern European We as a family felt very uncomfortable due to the stares and the lack of care given towards us as a family of 15 The rooms were dirty as there were things left under beds such as dirty underwear and other items from previous guests The staff stood around talking to each other and were very slow in cleaning tables The entertainment well I wouldn’t call it entertainment to be honest The only thing that was remotely entertaining was the belly dancer Don’t bother getting ice creams if you don’t want a inflated charge at the end of your stay €10 euros for missing towels if you don’t hand them in at the end of the day The manager I have no bad words to say about as he spoke very good English and helped us in any way Do not come to this hotel!!! It was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at and well if I could rate it less than one star then I would.

I generally had a great stay at Viking Nona Beach Hotel. A verity of food, attention to make the dinners special with so called gala nights with live music and even a belly dancer performance. The rooms are clean with every-day cleaning service.

Why I give one star less is because although the staff is kind, no one except the manager speaks English, so it was quite hard to communicate basic things. I think there was also on kind chef who was always smiling and also spoke English.

The hotel does not feel as a high quality hotel, the interior of the hotel is not so nice, although the rooms itself are, the pool area is small. The bar has really bad quality vine, gin and all alcoholic beverage, except beer which was good. It is not a calm hotel, but it will be fun for families with small kids.

We were positively surprised by special food being served between breakfast and lunch, mostly a traditional turkish dish.
When I felt like I needed to visit the doctor the manager offered to drive me to the doctor which is worth a mention. The hotels beach is close and nice.

I would recommend.

A hotel below any criticism; Dirt, cockroaches, old and damaged room equipment, the lack of any dishes to eat and drink in the room, the lack of a kettle - and even the lack of enough dishes in the canteen and bar, which resulted in the widespread use of plastic and polystyrene cups. Lack of interest of the hotel staff and management in guests and their satisfaction with the service. It is not possible to communicate in English with anyone in the hotel - including the reception!

We would like to recommend Viking Nona Hotel firstly for people who prefers the location (near the sea) and good service. All the team was friendly, open, with professional attitude, and if we had any questions they quickly answered it.
Remember to join your vacation, create best memories and to close your eyes on small imperfections :)

The hotel was very warm and welcoming. Staff are so lovely and helpfull. All the way through the hotel top to bottom. The food was great. It's location is well situated right on the beach and the main strip for shopping and night life. I loved the short break. The week was busy with excursions which you need to do. The fact there was a group of us. There was always someone chatting or shopping or going walks along the beach 🏖️. Kemer is a lovely place for family friends or romance. I will go back. Go check it out. Thank kemer 🇹🇷 love 🫶 Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Not satisfied, the room wifi is charged, the lobby wifi is broken, which is equivalent to no internet, the location is similar to other places in this area

Excellent location, excellent food, large selection of drinks, beautiful beach... Clean 5 stars

First, what I liked about the hotel: A small, nice “labyrinth” type building, the absence of crowds of vacationers and various “entertainers”. Calm atmosphere in the hotel, polite staff. Small but comfortable lobby. We can say the best location of the hotel in Kemer. The sea and a private beach are nearby. A very beautiful embankment for walking. The selection in the restaurant is quite good. The most important thing is the warm sea and excellent weather even in October. What I didn’t like: compared to previous years, it became more and more expensive and worse. The free internet in the lobby has become even worse. The selection in the restaurant has gotten worse. Free ice cream just sucks. The locks in the rooms using the card began to work poorly. We had a sewer smell in our room (no siphons). Transfer to the airport at the hotel - $65. Nearby you can negotiate for $45. There was and is no bicycle parking. Kemer seems small. And the bay is small. But if you ride a bicycle towards the mountains, you can see the large Turkish Kemer. I would not recommend buying anything in Kemer. Even shoes and rags. With all due respect, the Turks can do almost nothing well.
