Where to stay in Clearwater Beach

We were there at the end of April, beginning of May and we were there for 6 nights. The stay was great, we loved every moment of it. All staff members were courteous, professional and always ready to help. It was our 3rd stay at Wyndham, and we'll be back for sure. We had an awkward moment though, when we checked in, it was 3 of us, all adults and we rented 2 rooms, and only one received a welcome...

Perfect 5 out of 5. I don’t think I can give any compliments that haven’t already been said. Beautiful room and views. Attentive staff. Location is phenomenal. I’ve seen some people complain about traffic but how is that a property problem? The air conditioning was power was amazing. I traveled in May and it kept the room frosty. Can’t wait to go back!

Luxurious hotel. Impecable customer service, from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff to the pool staff, all were warm and go above and beyond to make us feel pampered. We had an amazing stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater which we booked through British Airways Holidays. Check in was very professional and the guy who looked after us gave us some welcome drink vouchers and remembered our name throughout the stay. Chairs in room and on balcony very uncomfortable and it advertised full gulf view but it’s actually partial view. HOWEVER the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was PHENOMENAL!!!! My favorite was the braised short rib and the cheese pizza. Plus I’d really like to take these pillows home. I highly recommend this hotel.

The reason I did not give this Hilton a one star is the staff. They are amazing. From the Valet Attendant to the person that checked us out at the end of our stay the staff was helpful and had that can do attitude. They should be commended. This hotel was in a perfect location. It was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and right on the beach. The service of the valet staff was amazing. Great location but dated. You have a great pool and you are on the beach. You can easily walk to the pier or any of the shops and restaurants. The main areas are nice. Almost all rooms have balconies which is great. Even though rooms seemed to get upgrades it still feels older. Location is truly perfect. Walking distance to beach, resort has salinated pool, 5 minute walk to pier 60 and park. We stayed in the time share on the Club Wyndham side. Previously stayed at hotel which is nice but smaller than the 1-2 bedrooms in the time share resident side. One of the nicest timeshares I've been to. Adult beverage at check in, friendly people (even the cleaning staff greeted us when we passed them coming in or out of the elevator). Right across from the beach, heated pool and generous sized hot tub. Restaurants and pier within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time here

All hotel personnel were extremely courteous. From front desk to facilities to housekeeping and entire restaurant (both) staff. I would highly recommend (and have) Sand Key as the place to stay while in Clearwater. However please also see comments on “ dislikes”

Check in was very easy, but not very fast, because there was a line of people. There was no fee for parking! My room was a standard 2 queen bed (room 208, had no view and was right next to some kind of employee room where they cycled in and out, so it was noisy). The room appeared clean. I attended the Sheraton Sand Key Resort as part of a conference. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Unfortunately I fell victim to an operator error and was manually charged for my room twice along with the items I purchased from the store. Attended a conference with a large group of individuals. The hotel was very accommodating for our needs. The room temperatures were adequate. The food was good. They have all kinds of amenities on site, coffee, shops, etc. I highly recommend this location for groups if you’re planning to do any type of convention style. it’s also very family friendly. The staff for the most part with the exception of two were exceptional. From the beginning to the end they made me feel as if I was home.

The rooms were super nice. The pool area was beautiful. The service not as friendly as I would have expected although we had a couple good servers for breakfast and appreciated that. Front desk people were fine. One night I ordered shrimp and it came with broccoli and fries all mixed together. Not too happy. On a good note the shrimp were good.

We visit Clearwater at least once a year and this was our first and most likely last visit to this Hotel. Parking is $25 per day and they share a parking deck with The Edge hotel. The motel has potential. The people were friendly and helpful, however, the rooms are poorly ventilated and have mold in the picture frames hung in the room. Our room faced away from the pool. The a.c. stayed cold all night, but when it cycled off, it woke us (continuously cycled off & on throughout the night). The location of this hotel is what makes it great. It is on the quieter end of the beach on an inlet. The hotel is dated and very budget friendly. I hear they are going to be tearing it down and putting a Marriot in its place. I enjoyed my stay here the rooms were clean and functional and hotel staff was nice.

Nice hotel, food is good, but bar is below par. They were out of several common liquors like jager. Bar closes at 10 but some nights 9. And beware they add 18% tip on every bill automatically. I didn't mind it but they should just tell you up front. But good food, excellent beach chairs and beach, overall pretty happy. There are bars across the street.

Good hotel that matches its type and price and above all great staff. It is clear that the hotel is older and could use more renovation. Amenities adequate, just would like more storage space (normal closet). The neighborhood is worse, but the hotel can't do anything about it. Definitely not a homeless and junkie dive here.

The pool was down the first day but was back up and running by the second day, the hot tub appears to be out of commission long term. The location is good and has close proximity to a lot. I spent one night at this Inn in Nov '22. It was on par with what you would expect for a 2-star hotel. I stayed here due to it's locations relative to my final destination. I was there for my nieces birthday party, they have a nice picnic area with a grill. I didn't go in the pool or the hot tub but the kids enjoyed them. This was a surprisingly great little converted motel. The rooms are cozy happy we got the bigger room instead of the smaller room. Location is fantastic. Super close to the beach and to the Clearwater Beach downtown area. the hosts were over the top great and very willing to jump in to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Will absolutely stay here again.

We stayed here with 2 children. Overall it's worth the price. We had no issues with parking, very close to the beach, and it was a nice quiet area. We stayed in the 4 person suite and the bed was comfortable! Housekeeping supplied us with fresh towels everyday. The room was moderately clean, the pool was okay but overall we had a great stay!! They even had beach supplies located by the pool for us

The room was large as we had a suite. The pool area was lovely and the terrace upstairs by our room was really handy.

the location was fine, it was approximately 40min walk to the beach, but the views were beautiful so it was not a problem. also there was a trolley that could take you or the beach; personel was very friendly. breakfasts were different every day, they were very tasty and there was a healthy choice available:)) ; the room was clean and very big

I would have given 5 stars if the room was cleaner & the bathtub/shower didn't have mold & rust in it. Staff alone should get 5 stars for their super friendly & helpful attitudes!

Nice Residence Inn, room was great, etc. Very good breakfast. A little difficult to get into parking area even with GPS help. If we go somewhere in Clearwater I think we would stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, but this stay was very disappointing. I'm not sure if the hotel sustained water damage from the recent hurricane, but our room had a horrible odor when we arrived.. May have been a musty smell, but was very strong. The bedroom area was much better, so we opted to stay in the room, since we were only here for a night and just wanted to sleep. I don't know how...

I really enjoyed staying here. It was an nice sized suite. Well equipped. The staff were TERRIFIC! Usually breakfast is cold or the hot stuff is not good. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were fluffy. Even the French toast sticks (made with real bread) were soft. The gentleman in that area was an absolute joy. He was sooooo helpful. I'd stay here again and again and again and again.....

If I could give more stars I would! From the day before to leaving was absolutely top notch! Everyone was so nice and attentive to our needs and everyone greeted and had conversation with us! Room was beautiful and spacious! Location was 5 minutes from the beach, and the hotel breakfast was great! We will definitely return for our next stay!

Stayed here twice. It's ok. Clean rooms and private beach access plus across the street from a decent dive bar.

Room was nice and comfortable. The only difficult part of our trip was parking. It's a small parking lot with a tight squeeze. But other than that we had a great time. The beach was a quick walk and so beautiful.

The location can't be beat. I loved the deck and firepit. The service was also great. My only suggestion would be to improve the rooms. A can of paint can work miracles. Small investment. Also the mattresses need replaced. Very uncomfy. A small investment to make it nicer would be ideal. Both us and our neighbors agreed we would pay more to have those improvements.
