This review concerns the Sheraton at Cypress Creek in Ft. Lauderdale. This property is adequate for a short term stay. However, you cannot avoid the huge problem of broken and slow elevators. Not acceptable IMHO.

It is very suitable for friends who rent a car or travel by car. Parking is free and it is very close to Exit 95 of the highway. As for other aspects, the basic overview is average. The front desk staff hardly speaks, perhaps because they face all kinds of guests every day. But don't expect too much, it's OK.

They are undergoing repairs after the hurricane. They're one of the few hotels open, so I can excuse the mess. The rooms are cozy and the pool area is very nice (lots of chairs and free sunscreen). There's lots of restaurants nearby. It is a 2 mile walk to the beach, but you can take a golf cart ride for $10 per person.

The swimming pool is great, there is not an in door swimming pool, contrary to the information given before booking.

Great location. Rooms were not dated. Cleaning consisted of making beds. I had to call for towels. The pool was dirty, the pool grounds were dirty. The food was good and expensive. The staff were so so, no one provided a wow experience. The best two people were Cece, at the small coffee place, and the woman at the check in desk who watched my bag. Very friendly staff that accommodated us with an early arrival

Pool has no light, rooms has some bright white bulbs and some soft white bulbs. Room lights are in almost all hotels soft white which gives the room a more cozy feeling, etc. Bright white or Natural White is for outside around the property. Also kitchens with no glass or silver ware.

The place was fine for the price and location. However, the room needed more attention in cleaning. Dust was visible on the walls. The shower wasn't very clean, nor was the floor. Additionally, the door was difficult to open because it would get stuck and required force to open and close it.
