The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! We stayed from Tuesday till Sunday and every member was helpful in some shape from or fashion. With that being said, we were overly impressed with a front desk staff member named Steve Lucas! We left our room late one day so the cleaning staff wasn’t able to clean and restock our room. When we brought it to his attention that we needed towels, he offered to have our entire room cleaned that evening. We told him that wasn’t necessary and struck up a conversation where we revealed we were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. He then had complimentary champagne sent to our room. He was the cherry on top of our already exceptional experience! Everyone from the valet staff to the cleaning staff always greeted us when leaving and returning. We were centrally located to several dining and entertainment areas as well as complimentary access to Lifetime Fitness for daily workouts. This was our first visit to Houston but not our last. The Laura Hotel is a place you can book confidently!

I had the pleasure of staying for a wedding weekend and everything was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is in a great location, has great water pressure, and comfortable beds. It is a jewel. I will be returning in the summer and fall. The staff made us feel like royalty from valet to front desk to housekeeping. It is not often that a hotel hits on all targets but they really did.

The entire staff was amazing. We had a company event there consisting of 25 people. We used their conference room, restaurant, buffet services, and individual rooms. Upon my check in, my TV wasn’t working correctly so I called maintenance up. Jose Rodriguez helped me fix it promptly and was very courteous and friendly. The hotel is also directly connected to the mall but I didn’t notice any noise from the mall.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The front desk guys were amazing. The rooms are clean and aesthetically pleasing. Nice location. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe. My go to when I travel to Houston for work. I want to stay at all their hotels now!!!

Not great. Room was dirty: Shower had a mildew smell. Carpet needs to be shampooed or replaced. Coffee table was broken. Thermostat didn’t work. Peeling paint. Reading Lights at the headboard didn’t work. Overall the hotel was nice years ago but it seems maintenance has fallen behind and it just needs a complete refresh now. Mattress sags towards the center and needs to be replaced. Service: bar service sucked. Bar manager was kind of rude. Booze is locked behind cheesy glass so it can’t be seen (not high end). Received an email advertising a happy hour but when I asked about it, nobody knew what I was talking about. The good: nice fitness center and good spot in the city.

The ambiance was nice. The room was clean. My biggest issue was no handicap parking for my son who is in a wheelchair or parking in general. Valet parking is almost you’re only option. $40 for overnight valet. If you’re staying more than one night, you should consider some place else that could be an upgrade and offers parking for the same amount at check out.

Check in time is supposed to be 3 PM we get to the hotel at 4:30 and they have no clean rooms available yet so we have to sit out in the lobby and wait along with plenty of other guests. I understand the staffing issue and I could be patient until someone walked in after us and got a room instantly.
Busy Sunday morning and only 1 valet person. All in all we’d give this place another try next time we come to Houston

Hotel ambience was really good however I agree with other review that it took us two rounds first time to locate the entrance of the hotel (I would recommend to have some kind of sign board to easily locate the hotel after reaching there).
Jacob from front desk was very helpful and courteous. Valet parking was a breeze.
Special thanks to Chef John for helping us to heat our Indian tortillas (Chapathi/ roti) in his kitchen. He not only heated them but also nicely wrapped them in foil papers.
Given a chance I would again stay in this beautiful hotel.

I made a reservation for 6 days, worst choice ever. Here is why:
- housekeeping sucks. They just tidy up a few things that is it. Nothing is refreshed in the room(coffee, soap etc)
- every single night there has been extreme noise by 6+ losers on the street playing loud music, street racing etc. see photo
Every time I reported the issue, same mindless person answers to me saying “sir, it is down town and there is nothing we can do.”
-desk services is extremely unprofessional and without knowledge on hotel amenities.
Will never stay here again. If what you need is peace of mind and resting, Laura and her staff are the total opposite.

I want to thank Trevor and Jacob for making my check-in what it was! Big shout out to Trevor for putting up with my shenanigans for 30 minutes lol he helped me with my bags and answered all of my questions. I love my room! The hotel is beautiful, can’t wait to come back next time already.
