Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay

Let me preface this, by saying, I am stumped by the one star reviews for this hotel!

The Delano is an elegant yet unpretentious hotel. Upon entering, we were greeted by a lovely scent - (vanilla and amber?) and our experience continued along a positive trajectory.

Our room was nicely appointed. The bed and pillows, comfortable. We enjoyed good sleep quality. Everything in the room worked as it should, water pressure was perfect and the room was spotless.

Some folks have complained about the cost of the minibar and bottled water = don’t use it.

We would definitely stay here again.

If I'm ever in Vegas again I'm staying here. The rooms are suites and are very comfortable and large. The value aspect of what I paid compared to other resorts with smaller rooms was outstanding. Great dining in the sister resort Mandalay Bay. Access to the Mandalay Bay pools as well. Pet friendly as well.

Staff was phenomenal. I loved that it was not a hotel with a casino attached, smoke was not a problem at all.
Very fancy & well taken care of.
Gave all the amenities from Mandalay Bay as well, which was great.
Suites were huge! Bathtub was giant and was used many times during our stay. Would love to stay again.

Only downfall, is that it’s a walk to anywhere else on the strip or even to the monorail.
But, they do provide a tram that goes between Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay- this is a free service.

The Delano is a wonderful hotel to stay at. No casino to walk through to get to your room. all the rooms are sweet with a full living room. The pool area is amazing. You really can’t go wrong with staying at the Delano.

I only stayed at the Delano for 1 night but my experience was excellent. The reception staff was efficient and excellent. The bell staff could not have been better. I had left my bags at the lobby, as I had arrived far too early to check in, but as it turned out I was able to check in much before the usual time. When I called down for my bags, I as told a 20 - 30 minute wait and I needed to be in the room. Not good. So I asked for them to please hurry. However, the bell staff arrived in less than 10 minutes.

The elevators are fast, so much so that my ears popped on the way to my room on the 60th floor. Hallways were vacuumed and clean. The room itself is modern and clean with multiple outlets for your gear, although oddly not one near enough to the desk. The bed and pillows were comfortable and it had an easy to use thermostat. The room was very quiet even though I had an adjoining room next to me which was occupied. The bathroom is large and well outfitted with the usual assortment of sundries.

Not enough to warrant a reduction in stars was the fact I could not check out via the TV even though I had this option. A quick call to the front desk and I was all checked out. I'll be back, hopefully soon and for a bit longer than 1 day.

The Delano was a great place to stay in Las Vegas and I nice companion tower to Mandalay Bay. The rooms are suites with a decent size common area with TV and wet bar. The bedroom and bathroom are also good size with TVs in both. The room was newer with no wear and tear.

Ironing Board Set Review (for the business traveler):

Ironing Board (9/10): The fabric was brand new and thick. The board opened and closed very easily and the iron glided gracefully. The one negative of the board was that it was not full size and could have been a little wider but overall, it was top notch.

Iron (7/10): The iron gets points knocked off because it had dirty water stains stuck on the iron that would have stained my clothes during the initial iron. The iron also lacked a "steam puff" button, which does not give maximum steamage while ironing. Luckily, the iron benefited from a good board or this would have been a lot lower score.

Stayed here for a conference and really enjoyed the entire experience. The entire staff was incredibly hospitable: To the housekeepers you met in the hallway, to the front desk agents during check-in and checkout, and the doorman who helped arrange transportation. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were large and spacious complement it by an oversize tub and standalone shower. The blackout curtains overlapped restricting any type of light from coming in early in the morning. Great place to stay while visiting Vegas

The rooms are large and modern. The main bathroom is fantastic with a TV, separate WC and both stand up shower and huge bath tub!
The staff are friendly and the security in the lobby was an added bonus.
While I did not use the pool it looked fantastic.
Without a doubt, I will stay here again.

The rooms were very nice. Clean and quit. Loved the no casino in the hotel but easy walk to Mandalay Bay. Will stay again. Staff was very friendly and room service was fast. Only complaint is that they didn’t provide k-cups for the coffee maker.
