Loved staying here. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The beds are firm with a little softness. They have a couple of pools and spas and games outside for all. Like table tennis, jenga, corn hole, and a huge Connect four. A/C works great and the room has a fan. They do have a little cafe/market store but the food is not great. Had a breakfast burrito from there and it was small, wasn't good...

Stayed here in 2012 then again in 2015. I plan on going back soon. Most likely where I’ll book again! The staff go above and beyond. The comfortability of the rooms and beds are unmatched. Also the most central location I’d want while staying in the peninsula. The restaurant attached on the front floor is nice and the gift shop is convenient. I’m not a golfer but this is a golfers heaven.

Really easy walk to Calle Principal and Alvarado; about 35 minutes. Lighthouse shopping district and Pacific Grove are a long walk.

Very different from your typical hotel. Laid back environment on the golf course. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Only strange thing was the A/C unit in the room, was a standalone and caused the breaker to pop in our room when the hair dryer was being used at the same time.

Enjoyed the location and on site restaurants. Hard to see from the road so pay attention to directions. Also parking is a little hard in the evening on busy nights so be prepared to walk and haul your stuff. Once settled though, it's really nice. The rooms gazing the golf course have great views.

The hotel is fantastic, views and rooms and the seals nearby. All amazing. But the best part was Conrad, who helped us immensely when our car had a flat tire and we had to leave it at the hotel. He took care of everything for us in order to allow us to continue our trip. We are both so grateful. Thank you very much!

Overall staff was good. The exception is the check in desk staff. She was not clear with her instructions, appeared unsure, and unwilling to provide assistance such as a bell hop to assist with carrying luggage to our room. My wife and I had 6 pieces of luggage (we have a 4 year old) and the staffer expected us to carry our bags and child across the property to our room. I had to ask if the bellhops...

We went down the coast to explore and got a couple different hotels along the way, and this one was the best we stayed at. Honest review, highly recommend staying here. I am sad that I can no longer recommend Asilomar. The natural beauty is amazing, but the rooms are in disrepair. The heater did not work, and instead of fixing it, they brought in a space heater. If you are visiting our beautiful area, one of the less advertised places to stay is The Asilomar Hotel (Lodge) and Conference Grounds. I stayed at Asilomar Conference Grounds for a 2-day / 1-night retreat. A few main buildings are located at the center of campus (dining hall, lecture room, guest check-in) and the residential buildings are scattered on the outskirts. The location of this Hotel is great. It's walking distance to the beach and state park. My room was kinda average and screamed "family beach retreat on a budget"....

This place is very beautiful. Nice view & awesome sunset around the beach. If you stay on-site for the conference, you should notice that the room itself is old and honestly doesn’t smell good.

Was there for a company party set up for 500-800 researchers (teams) in the area for a conference. Not sure about the rooms & amenities but the view is remarkable and so is any other are I was able to see before dark. I hear its a great place to be and stay.

Historical grounds add interest to a lovely quiet setting along the coastline. A short sweet walk along a path leads to a white sandy beach. Seventeen mile road meanders thru between beach and grounds. If you like history, world class beach and views,this place is positively enchanting!

Really enjoyed our stay here! It is so close to the beach, falling asleep with beach waves was priceless! Rooms are nice and clean, just wish they had a microwave. They also have a very nice bar and very cozy restaurant in the hotel which was great because we didn’t have to go anywhere and just relaxed. Jacuzzi and Pool are also very nice. We stayed 2 nights here and I can definitely tell you that the rooms are not worth $350 a night (we had the ocean view) of their location right on the beach.PLUS resort fees (I wouldn't call this place a resort and for the fees they charge here they should have nicer equipment for their guest) and parking! My wife picked this hotel because she saw that the rooms have bathtubs. Turned out we had to reserve a premium room for the bathtub. The breakfast was fine. Had an interesting pancake machine.

This is a nice hotel. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. It’s located pretty close to downtown Monterey and it comes with a free parking garage. The room I stayed in had a bathroom with two beds (which where comfy), a TV, and a desk. The room also had a balcony, which was nice. The rooms were clean. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms near downtown Monterey.

Lovely hotel. Staff are terrific and were very helpful when we had a special need. Covered parking with easy elevator access and not an extra cost. Breakfast foods yummy and hot, plenty of options. Would stay here again.

We stayed here two nights. Very friendly staff and easy to park the car. The room is good and the balcony is large. We had sunset on the balcony which was nice. No cleaning, as they had not enough staff, but you could ask for new towels in the reception. The breakfast is poor but you could find something to eat.

The hotel was so nice, Especially for the price. Nice AC unit, clean spacious room, honestly felt very comfortable. The pool is amazing and clean. You can tell they take pride in their facilities.Only downside is it's near an airport (no ones fault) but the noise is not so bad. Great customer service people at the front, really make you feel welcome. ☺️

Large rooms some have a pool view with balcony which is beautiful. The internet was incredibly slow, to the point that it didn't even work. The TV was upgraded during our stay from ancient to a much faster and diverse provider. The pool is a nice size and temp, it was the best part of the stay! We had a large room with a fireplace. Room was clean. Hotel looks to be in great shape. Close to the mall, downtown Monterey and Carmel. The rate was decent. We would definitely stay again.

Not EXACTLY what I expected, but nice. The "townhouse" is a walk in to the living room, see the couch and TV above the fireplace. This is great place to stay, although I had a room facing cannery row, it's great for people watching. Room had a fireplace which was nice for ambiance and warmth. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is a little small other than that excellent stay. Air con doesn't work in the building at all, tiles coming away from the wall in shower, chipped paint and water takes ages to get warm even though California is in a drought seems a waste. My husband and I booked the Spindrift Inn for our 25th Anniversary. A couple days before our intended stay, my husband went into the hospital, and I needed to postpone. I stayed in Room 304 and it was beautiful. It had a fireplace and a great window with a view of the central coast. The marble floor and the shower was pleasant as well. I enjoyed my stay and it’s great location close to the Fish Hopper, Bubba Gump, and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory :)

I must admit that I haven’t stayed here but my friend gave me a tour of their cottage and the surroundings. This is a pet-friendly location with grounds to walk your dog and the beach is within walking distance. They have accommodations for up to 12 people so this is a great place for a family reunion. Our family of five stayed there for a week and it could not have been any better! Great location and friendly people. The housekeeping staff and groundskeepers are top notch. We would definitely go back if we did not live so far away. Highly recommended!

We love this place. Each cottage is different and fully furnished. Had a fenced in yard to bbq and for the dogs also. All staff if friendly and just once you meet them they are like friends for forever. Big lawn area for the dogs to play. We never go anywhere else when in Pacific Grove.

This place was perfect for our overnight stay in Monterey. Our room was clean and comfortable! We had cable, wifi and a small coffee maker. You can’t beat the price. Some people mention you can hear cars and stuff but honestly it’s not a constant and nothing to knock a review down over, at all! I slept very well.

We booked this hotel during Monterey Car Week expecting it to be a low grade hotel considering the price. We were very wrong. The staff was so kind and helpful! We had our dogs w us and we had rented one of the cottages that had it's own fenced yard! Perfect! Our stay at Centrella Inn was terrific. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and affordable. We usually eat on the patio around a nice fire pit if there's a chill. Consistently excellent service, food, and the enchanting views of the ocean. Snd if that's not enough, every day at dusk the bagpipes sneak in making this venue the best environment to spend with family and friends.

I've golfed 3 times at the Links at Spanish Bay over the years, very nice and challenging course! Gorgeous views and setting, however, I would Never ever pay $1,000+ per night to stay here. Just me, but no lodging should cost that much for a single night of stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was traveling with a golf group and we had a little mix-up on the number of rooms we booked. We were able to add an extra room easily at a competitive rate. Perfect place of you're looking for a place to stay the day before you begin your vacation at Pebble Beach.

The caption says "laid back hotel" but the experience is anything but. The lady at the front desk treated us more like trespassers than guests. Very tense about everything from the moment we arrived and made my dad uncomfortable while eating breakfast. Said he had to go away. The room itself was clean, small, and okay. Very nice hotel a short walk from downtown PG. Seems to have been recently renovated. Nice amenities and good beds. Sufficient number of plugs and USB hookups. Great Continental breakfast with 2 waffle grills :)
