Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is very satisfactory

I stayed in Monterey for two nights to watch whales. The hotel is very close to the port and it is very convenient to drive for ten minutes. However, I was very seasick when I went out to sea. I fell asleep as soon as I got back to the hotel. The breakfast the next day was quite rich, with fried rice

It was an excellent hotel & resort. The room was nice and tidy, with a bathroom with good shower water pressure. Its breakfast was also excellent with good and friendly service. Only thing it lacks was elevator, so I recommend the first floor room with patio.

The hotels are all OK, but the prices on Ctrip are getting more and more expensive. They charge about 15% more than other booking sites. I can no longer book hotels and air tickets on Ctrip.

There is a golf course next to the hotel, the environment is OK. But the hotel is a bit small

The room is nice and the location is good, but the hotel's swimming pool, gym, etc. require additional payment, even if you don't use them, you still have to pay $68

Unbeatable sea view, good service, but no parking lot. Of course, the valet doorman is very good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean outside the window. During dinner, you can see whales, dolphins, seals and other marine life swimming nearby, which was a pleasant surprise.

There is no need to live in Carmel nearby, this is enough, the cleanest and best place at the same price

When I checked in at the hotel, I happened to see the beautiful sunset on the large terrace on the first floor. The service staff was very friendly and brought a microwave for us. Thank you very much! The surrounding sea view is unforgettable!

This is a relatively good hotel in this trip to the United States. It is close to the beach and the surrounding scenery is quite pleasing to the eye. But the balcony is a bit too small and the room is relatively old.

I am sad that I can no longer recommend Asilomar. The natural beauty is amazing, but the rooms are in disrepair. The heater did not work, and instead of fixing it, they brought in a space heater. The sliding door to the deck would not open, making the deck unusable. Every ice machine I could find was out of order. Wallpaper was peeling. Renovation is overdue. If you are visiting our beautiful area, one of the less advertised places to stay is The Asilomar Hotel (Lodge) and Conference Grounds. I stayed at Asilomar Conference Grounds for a 2-day / 1-night retreat. A few main buildings are located at the center of campus (dining hall, lecture room, guest check-in) and the residential buildings are scattered on the outskirts. The location of this Hotel is great. It's walking distance to the beach and state park. My room was kinda average and screamed "family beach retreat on a budget"....

This place is very beautiful. Nice view & awesome sunset around the beach. If you stay on-site for the conference, you should notice that the room itself is old and honestly doesn’t smell good.

Was there for a company party set up for 500-800 researchers (teams) in the area for a conference. Not sure about the rooms & amenities but the view is remarkable and so is any other are I was able to see before dark. I hear its a great place to be and stay.

Historical grounds add interest to a lovely quiet setting along the coastline. A short sweet walk along a path leads to a white sandy beach. Seventeen mile road meanders thru between beach and grounds. If you like history, world class beach and views,this place is positively enchanting!

You need to park temporarily at the gate before arriving at the hotel, and then enter the underground garage to park after checking in. In this season, I specially chose a room with a fireplace. It was very warm to sleep with the fireplace on. The older staff at the front desk were very friendly. Don’t be afraid to turn on the fireplace. There is an alarm device. I was worried about safety issues at first. The Fisherman’s Wharf is not far away, just a 17-minute walk.

A relatively quiet budget hotel with free parking. The front desk is also very friendly, with free hot water and coffee. The breakfast is a classic American buffet. Although there are not many varieties, it is no problem to eat enough.

This is a relatively new hotel. The room facilities are average. The overall feeling is good. After all, pets are allowed and parking is convenient.

Monterey is really beautiful! The transportation near the hotel is very convenient. I didn't expect that some of the waiters didn't speak English. The breakfast in the hotel is average and I'm not used to it. It would be nice if there was an option with or without breakfast.

Breakfast was incredible aswell as the overall Vivtorian design of the Inn. The view is spectatucal. We could watch otters play in the bay from the breakfast room.

The Martine Inn/B&B is an historic, interesting Inn with a great location and stunning views. There is lots of good walking in both directions. The staff is very competent, friendly, and helpful. We booked this hotel during Monterey Car Week expecting it to be a low grade hotel considering the price. We were very wrong. Not only did we have an oceanfront view every morning we woke up, but the service here is the best we've had at any hotel during Monterey Car Week. Wonderful experience. Incredible location, great innkeepers, great food, comfortable rooms. We had a business meeting here and they made it very nice for use - Apple TV to project our stuff, whiteboard, very comfortable meeting room. Super attentive staff. Cannot day enough nice about this one.

Really enjoyed our stay here! It is so close to the beach, falling asleep with beach waves was priceless! Rooms are nice and clean, just wish they had a microwave. We stayed 2 nights here and I can definitely tell you that the rooms are not worth $350 a night (we had the ocean view) of their location right on the beach.PLUS resort fees (I wouldn't call this place a resort and for the fees they charge here they should have nicer equipment for their guest) and parking! Rooms were great... our ac wasn't working properly but the sliding door opened so I just opened the front door blinds and the slider and it cooled off the room quickly... We have been staying at this hotel every year since 2016. The suites are our favorite. The other rooms are great but we love having the extra space with our kids. This is great place to stay, although I had a room facing cannery row, it's great for people watching. Room had a fireplace which was nice for ambiance and warmth. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is a little small other than that excellent stay. I rarely give out five stars for service but this time they earned it, from the doorman valet to the check-in to the maids everyone was friendly and polite

Air con doesn't work in the building at all, tiles coming away from the wall in shower, chipped paint and water takes ages to get warm even though California is in a drought seems a waste. The hotel probably needs a refurb and it would be amazing. The staff are really nice and the location perfect.

My husband and I booked the Spindrift Inn for our 25th Anniversary. A couple days before our intended stay, my husband went into the hospital, and I needed to postpone. I stayed in Room 304 and it was beautiful. It had a fireplace and a great window with a view of the central coast. The marble floor and the shower was pleasant as well. I enjoyed my stay and it’s great location close to the Fish Hopper, Bubba Gump, and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory :)

The price was great and you get what you pay for so no harm no foul. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was quiet. Check-in was fast and simple. The hotel is in a very accesible area. The room seemed cleans dm equipped with most things you’d need. My biggest complaint is that the walls were paper thin. You could hear everything from next door to those upstairs. It also had a bit of an off smell - like an older building type smell. In a way, you get what you pay for. Not sure if I’d stay again.

Fantastic low key spot for our family trip, walking distance to white sands and tidepools of Asilomar beach. Having the full kitchen with pots/pans/oven was a huge plus. With a Trader Joes not far away, it was easy to do meals at the cottage. We stayed here one week in October will attending a conference at the Asilomar conference center. This was a great place to stay with the dogs. This is at walking distance from Asilomar beach. We loved the cottage and facilities assigned to us. We also saw a deer outside our cottage and we were delighted y the sight. There is no pool but a small hot tub. They offer free breakfast and snacks all day. The free breakfast only has fruits and packaged stuff and nothing cooked. Overall we had a memorable stay here.

Charming First stay at the Centrella. The cottage was charming, spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was yummy and location, location, location. You are centrally located near Lighthouse Ave for restaurants and shopping, a short walk to Lovers Point and the beach and about a 20 minute walk to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Great spot. A nice quiet stay in Pacific Grove We had a great 4 night stay. It’s an older building but beautifully maintained. It was very clean. It was only a 1 block walk from shopping and restaurants and very quiet. The breakfast was only bagels and muffins, etc. but the fruit and yogurt parfait was nice.

We usually eat on the patio around a nice fire pit if there's a chill. Consistently excellent service, food, and the enchanting views of the ocean. Snd if that's not enough, every day at dusk the bagpipes sneak in making this venue the best environment to spend with family and friends.

From the first phone call to checking g into the room . The service we received was top notch . The beds were extremely comfortable. You can select any comfortable pillow , several options to choose from . Our view of the ocean was spectacular. The sounds of the ocean were so comforting to fall asleep too.

I've golfed 3 times at the Links at Spanish Bay over the years, very nice and challenging course! Gorgeous views and setting, however, I would Never ever pay $1,000+ per night to stay here. Just me, but no lodging should cost that much for a single night of stay.

Romantic, quaint, sexy, elegant, casual, refreshing, beautiful. Great place to chill and enjoy drinks, a romantic stroll over looking the Pacific Ocean, hold hands and kiss on the veranda, listen to jazz or smooth music inside or outdoors. Good food. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was traveling with a golf group and we had a little mix-up on the number of rooms we booked. We were able to add an extra room easily at a competitive rate. Perfect place of you're looking for a place to stay the day before you begin your vacation at Pebble Beach.

The caption says "laid back hotel" but the experience is anything but. The lady at the front desk treated us more like trespassers than guests. Very tense about everything from the moment we arrived and made my dad uncomfortable while eating breakfast. Said he had to go away. The room itself was clean, small, and okay. I had a fantastic time here. The room was perfect, hotel staff very attentive, some new landscaping was being planted while I was there, and it will look great! I was pleasantly pleased as some of the other reviews posted were not so good. You just can't please all the people all the time! Thank for a great time out!
