Monterey, 400 Cannery Row 🧭 Map
Unbeatable sea view, good service, but no parking lot. Of course, the valet doorman is very good.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean outside the window. During dinner, you can see whales, dolphins, seals and other marine life swimming nearby, which was a pleasant surprise.
There is no need to live in Carmel nearby, this is enough, the cleanest and best place at the same price
When I checked in at the hotel, I happened to see the beautiful sunset on the large terrace on the first floor. The service staff was very friendly and brought a microwave for us. Thank you very much! The surrounding sea view is unforgettable!
It was already evening when we arrived in Monterey. After checking in, we hurried to dine at a Thai restaurant not far away. The town was very quiet. Although we didn’t pay much attention to the environment around the hotel, when we went to the hotel for coffee early in the morning, we saw how beautiful the sea and sky next to the hotel were. The guest rooms were also very clean. I felt that the trip...
This is a relatively good hotel in this trip to the United States. It is close to the beach and the surrounding scenery is quite pleasing to the eye. But the balcony is a bit too small and the room is relatively old.

Pacific Grove, 800 Asilomar Boulevard 🧭 Map
I am sad that I can no longer recommend Asilomar. The natural beauty is amazing, but the rooms are in disrepair. The heater did not work, and instead of fixing it, they brought in a space heater. The sliding door to the deck would not open, making the deck unusable. Every ice machine I could find was out of order. Wallpaper was peeling. Renovation is overdue. If they work on it, it could become great...
If you are visiting our beautiful area, one of the less advertised places to stay is The Asilomar Hotel (Lodge) and Conference Grounds.
Perfectly situated within a few steps to the beach, spanning several acres, filled with trees and paths. This gem has a great rustic vibe.
Very cosy.
The Main Lodge has a large, locally quarried boulder fireplace, many comfortable leather sofas and two pool tables...
I stayed at Asilomar Conference Grounds for a 2-day / 1-night retreat. A few main buildings are located at the center of campus (dining hall, lecture room, guest check-in) and the residential buildings are scattered on the outskirts. The location of this Hotel is great. It's walking distance to the beach and state park.
My room was kinda average and screamed "family beach retreat on a budget"....
This place is very beautiful. Nice view & awesome sunset around the beach. If you stay on-site for the conference, you should notice that the room itself is old and honestly doesn’t smell good.
Was there for a company party set up for 500-800 researchers (teams) in the area for a conference. Not sure about the rooms & amenities but the view is remarkable and so is any other are I was able to see before dark. I hear its a great place to be and stay.
Historical grounds add interest to a lovely quiet setting along the coastline. A short sweet walk along a path leads to a white sandy beach. Seventeen mile road meanders thru between beach and grounds. If you like history, world class beach and views, this place is positively enchanting!

Breakfast was incredible aswell as the overall Vivtorian design of the Inn. The view is spectatucal. We could watch otters play in the bay from the breakfast room.
This is my favorite place to stay on the peninsula! The breakfast is always phenomenal and the atmosphere is charming. I have had the pleasure of staying in the Carriage House and the Edith Head room. They were both stunning and comfortable. The staff is A+ and is always on hand for assistance.
As a bonus, I can guarantee that this place ia not haunted. I am a paranormal investigator and you have...
The Martine Inn/B&B is an historic, interesting Inn with a great location and stunning views. There is lots of good walking in both directions.
The staff is very competent, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is lovely as is the Happy Hour snack. Our bed was comfortable.
The Inn is sprawling with a courtyard, ping pong, pool table and a piano. It has loads of charm.

Great location in Pacific Grove, right on the beach. Near all of the attractions that you want to see. Great breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening. Jeremy was the greatest host you could ask for. We will be returning soon!
We booked this hotel during Monterey Car Week expecting it to be a low grade hotel considering the price. We were very wrong. Not only did we have an oceanfront view every morning we woke up, but the service here is the best we've had at any hotel during Monterey Car Week. If you love to stay at quaint Inns with an old time feel, this is your place. They had no TVs in the room which we actually enjoyed...
Wonderful experience. Incredible location, great innkeepers, great food, comfortable rooms. We had a business meeting here and they made it very nice for use - Apple TV to project our stuff, whiteboard, very comfortable meeting room. Super attentive staff. Cannot day enough nice about this one.

Monterey, 652 Cannery Row 🧭 Map
The view is good, facing the sea, the beach is downstairs, the fireplace is very American style, and breakfast is delivered to the room
Upgraded room shape at own expense, classic sea view room
This is great place to stay, although I had a room facing cannery row, it's great for people watching. Room had a fireplace which was nice for ambiance and warmth. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is a little small other than that excellent stay. I rarely give out five stars for service but this time they earned it, from the doorman valet to the check-in to the maids everyone was friendly and polite
Air con doesn't work in the building at all, tiles coming away from the wall in shower, chipped paint and water takes ages to get warm even though California is in a drought seems a waste. The hotel probably needs a refurb and it would be amazing. The staff are really nice and the location perfect.
My husband and I booked the Spindrift Inn for our 25th Anniversary. A couple days before our intended stay, my husband went into the hospital, and I needed to postpone. The staff were very accommodating, and understanding.
When we were able to stay a couple weeks later, it was a wonderful experience. A bottle of wine, and chocolates with a note welcoming us left on the coffee table. Very friendly staff...
I stayed in Room 304 and it was beautiful. It had a fireplace and a great window with a view of the central coast. The marble floor and the shower was pleasant as well. I enjoyed my stay and it’s great location close to the Fish Hopper, Bubba Gump, and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory :)

Highly Recommend! Great cottage with kitchen! Has a hot tub and grills! Great backyard space and great service!
Perfect location for Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur!
Fantastic low key spot for our family trip, walking distance to white sands and tidepools of Asilomar beach. Having the full kitchen with pots/pans/oven was a huge plus. With a Trader Joes not far away, it was easy to do meals at the cottage. Some great meal options only 5 minutes away on Lighthouse Ave. We lucked out on the weather most days but on our one rainy day we made extensive use of the fire...
So worth it must stay there ! They have real fireplace there so awesome! And the people where amazing ! And you'll get greeted by a little dog which is so cute and so loving ❤️
We stayed here one week in October will attending a conference at the Asilomar conference center. This was a great place to stay with the dogs. There was a small fireplace in the cottage and separate kitchen area. Our cottage also had a small private fenced yard area. There were some basic breakfast supplies every day at registration (cereal and yogurt). The location was convenient for the Asilomar...
This is at walking distance from Asilomar beach. We loved the cottage and facilities assigned to us. We also saw a deer outside our cottage and we were delighted y the sight. There is no pool but a small hot tub. They offer free breakfast and snacks all day. The free breakfast only has fruits and packaged stuff and nothing cooked. Overall we had a memorable stay here.

Loved the breakfast parfait! Just make sure what floor you are on… good exercise but a lot of stairs… my husband says don’t hit your head on unsuspected ceilings when you’re on the third floor!
We stayed in a one bedroom queen room with patio access. It was pretty basic and could use an upgrade. I went with a friend so we needed two beds. They said the sofa in the living area was additional sleeping, but it was a hard futon couch that opened to a single size bed with a groove down the middle, not comfortable at all. The bedroom was fine, The rooms were a bit stuffy and stale, the outdoor...
Charming
First stay at the Centrella. The cottage was charming, spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was yummy and location, location, location. You are centrally located near Lighthouse Ave for restaurants and shopping, a short walk to Lovers Point and the beach and about a 20 minute walk to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Great spot. Will be back.
A nice quiet stay in Pacific Grove
We had a great 4 night stay. It’s an older building but beautifully maintained. It was very clean. It was only a 1 block walk from shopping and restaurants and very quiet. The breakfast was only bagels and muffins, etc. but the fruit and yogurt parfait was nice.

We spent 3 nights here. Ocean side Room. Highly enjoyable. Able to see and hear the Bagpiper from the room. Watch the Golfers and Excellent Ocean view.
Such a wonderful, modern, clean, and beautiful place. We came to get some dinner so we don't have any experience with the rooms, but from what I could tell from the outside, they were really large and nice. There were so many staff members everywhere greeting you and offering service to everyone. Roy's was amazing as well. Excellent food and affordable prices, considering the environment. We even managed...
We usually eat on the patio around a nice fire pit if there's a chill. Consistently excellent service, food, and the enchanting views of the ocean. Snd if that's not enough, every day at dusk the bagpipes sneak in making this venue the best environment to spend with family and friends.
From the first phone call to checking g into the room . The service we received was top notch . The beds were extremely comfortable. You can select any comfortable pillow , several options to choose from . Our view of the ocean was spectacular. The sounds of the ocean were so comforting to fall asleep too.
I've golfed 3 times at the Links at Spanish Bay over the years, very nice and challenging course! Gorgeous views and setting, however, I would Never ever pay $1,000+ per night to stay here. Just me, but no lodging should cost that much for a single night of stay.
Romantic, quaint, sexy, elegant, casual, refreshing, beautiful. Great place to chill and enjoy drinks, a romantic stroll over looking the Pacific Ocean, hold hands and kiss on the veranda, listen to jazz or smooth music inside or outdoors. Good food. Bring a coat or warm sweater toward evening. Gets chilly. Great cuddlying weather.

2 star hotel with a 3 star rating. Staff was nice. Rooms leave a little be to desired. Broken shutters. I had to fix the feet on the fridge and the cabinet door where fridge is located. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was traveling with a golf group and we had a little mix-up on the number of rooms we booked. We were able to add an extra room easily at a competitive rate. Perfect place of you're looking for a place to stay the day before you begin your vacation at Pebble Beach.
The caption says "laid back hotel" but the experience is anything but. The lady at the front desk treated us more like trespassers than guests. Very tense about everything from the moment we arrived and made my dad uncomfortable while eating breakfast. Said he had to go away. The room itself was clean, small, and okay. Walls are thin so there's lots of background noise
Very nice room. Location is a a little out of the way, but I like that. Still close to Monterey and all it's activities though. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice little place, good price, friendly clerks, clean rooms and a 3 minute drive to the beach.
I had a fantastic time here. The room was perfect, hotel staff very attentive, some new landscaping was being planted while I was there, and it will look great! I was pleasantly pleased as some of the other reviews posted were not so good. You just can't please all the people all the time!

The rooms were comfortable and clean staff was friendly and helpful. Outside deck eary was nice
Check-in was fast and simple. The hotel is in a very accesible area. The room seemed cleans dm equipped with most things you’d need. My biggest complaint is that the walls were paper thin. You could hear everything from next door to those upstairs. It also had a bit of an off smell - like an older building type smell. In a way, you get what you pay for. Not sure if I’d stay again.
Nice motel with great staff
We were very impressed with our stay. The motel was very clean, the staff was wonderful and the beds were comfortable. Our only issue was the street noise, but it is unavoidable due to the location. 5 stars!!
Good all round motel
Staff friendly. Location good for walking into town. Certainly a little dated but clean. Walls are thin as expected but other than some loud neighbours it seemed quiet. Good value for money. Would recommend as a cheaper option in the area.
Good one night stay
Reasonable price, comfortable bed and walkable to downtown. It’s right by the road but we didn’t hear much traffic so we slept good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
AMAZING Hotel, 5 Stars!
I absolutley LOVED this hotel and wish we would have been able to stay here longer. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were adorable, clean, quiet, safe, comfortable and made us not want to leave. I would 1,000% come back here! 5 stars!

I have never considered Best Western when I was on a business trip before. This time I stayed here in Monterey. The location is very good, it is very convenient to nearby attractions, and it is very quiet at night.

In this season, I specially chose a room with a fireplace. It was very warm to sleep with the fireplace on. The older staff at the front desk were very friendly. Don’t be afraid to turn on the fireplace. There is an alarm device. I was worried about safety issues at first. The Fisherman’s Wharf is not far away, just a 17-minute walk.
A relatively quiet budget hotel with free parking. The front desk is also very friendly, with free hot water and coffee. The breakfast is a classic American buffet. Although there are not many varieties, it is no problem to eat enough.
The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are clean and parking is convenient. The waiter is very enthusiastic and has a good attitude. The facilities are complete. The breakfast is OK, and there is hot water and coffee at the front desk.
The room is poorly soundproofed, the snoring from the next door is so clear that it seems like there is no wall between us...
The sanitation is OK, no problems found

Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is very satisfactory
I stayed in Monterey for two nights to watch whales. The hotel is very close to the port and it is very convenient to drive for ten minutes. However, I was very seasick when I went out to sea. I fell asleep as soon as I got back to the hotel. The breakfast the next day was quite rich, with fried rice
It was an excellent hotel & resort. The room was nice and tidy, with a bathroom with good shower water pressure. Its breakfast was also excellent with good and friendly service. Only thing it lacks was elevator, so I recommend the first floor room with patio.
The hotels are all OK, but the prices on Ctrip are getting more and more expensive. They charge about 15% more than other booking sites. I can no longer book hotels and air tickets on Ctrip.
There is a golf course next to the hotel, the environment is OK. But the hotel is a bit small
The room is nice and the location is good, but the hotel's swimming pool, gym, etc. require additional payment, even if you don't use them, you still have to pay $68

Fantastic staff, friendly and knowledgeable helped set the trip on the right foot. Beautiful spacious rooms with automated fireplaces, herculean water pressure showers, comfortable beds/linens/pillows. Will be coming back on the next trip, definitely recommend!

Having two sink/vanity areas was perfect for us. We enjoyed this room because it was on the main level but there is no room directly above which was nice. Especially since it’s an older property and the floors can be kind of creaky. We didn...
Homey and cozy. Plenty of room to sit by the fireplace after walking around the neighborhood. Nice table for breakfast. Roomy kitchen (a surprise but not sure all units have one). Quiet location but still close to all the dining/shopping/beach. Loved the daily breakfast in room.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Vagabond House Inn for 2 weekend nights pre-Christmas. This small inn is a few short blocks from the main ***** Ocean Ave, perfect walking distance to all the food, shops, and beach that Carmel has to offer. The actual block the inn is on is quiet and residential. But just down the block or a few more blocks are great restaurants such as Chez Noir and Bicyclette. The...
This is a nice and centrally located place, though not quite a full-service bed and breakfast. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom is updated with modern amenities, including wonderful heated floors. However, the carpet looks quite old, but the cozy fireplace in the room adds a lot of charm. For the price and location, this is still a good option. It’s located just north of...
Better than the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco
Although this property does not have an onsite restaurant/ so no room service… I can honestly say this hotel has nicer accommodations than the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco!!! The bathroom was absolutely fantastic - huge stand alone bathtub, giant shower with a bench, heated floors!!! Separate toilet of course
The room had its own Fireplace… beautiful...
Don’t be fooled by the name. This boutique vintage inn offers all the modern luxuries. Beautifully appointed rooms with all the bells and whistles (except AC, but it wasn’t a problem). Delicious breakfast (made to order) delivered every morning, lovely courtyard for winding down in the evening, great service from the staff. Walking distance to great shops, restaurants and Carmel beach. A real gem

Very clean and comfortable in a great location. It was very quiet and you could select a room with parking which is off the street.
Exceeded my expectations for a $225/night hotel room!
The room was clean, warm, comfortable and well appointed. Everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The fireplace was a nice bonus. My boyfriend is a very light sleeper, he slept through the night here without any disruptions.
Potential cons that aren’t disclosed until after you reserve the room:
- some of the rooms do not have a parking space....
We stayed here mid-week in December for 3 nights and loved it. The price point was affordable compared to the competition nearby. We were able to check in early, the location is great, a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance from downtown and restaurants. It's actually located directly across the street from The Hogs Breath Inn, and a popular Italian restaurant right next door. We had the upstairs...
Lovely little place, the room was delightful. Bummed that the advertised breakfast & gym did not actually exist when we stayed there, but it was super cute for a weekend getaway.
I want to start out by saying, I feel like most of the negative reviews are from people not reading the VERY descriptive website.
We have been staying here for almost 1 week for our honeymoon. The website is very transparent about which rooms have reserved parking and which rooms are most affected by the construction on the property next door. The website also has pictures showing that the rooms are...
Nice inn to stay at that was reasonably priced. Good sized room with electric fire place. Convenient location which is within walking distance to ocean avenue.
The room also had a microwave oven, fridge and ironing board.
Downside would be the amenities in the bathroom. It’s good that they provide a shower cap but the shampoo and lotion are in very tiny bottles and there are these thin bar soaps. The...

My son, nephew and I recently stayed at this excellent inn, and we were all delighted! The gentlemen at the front desk and his daughter could not have been more friendly or accommodating! Our rooms were large, clean, cute, and well equipped. And the location could not have been better. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment!
We were visiting Carmel-by-the-Beach for a wedding last weekend and found this place on Expedia. We booked two king bed rooms for one night through the third party site with no issues in May.
When the time came, we found out the day before that we needed to obtain lodging because my mom is horrible at planning things. So I went to their front desk and thankfully they had vacancy, and the rate was even...
Short walk to the main shopping street of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Room is reasonably sized and with comfortable beds. But lodging does not provide any self service guest laundry and I couldn't find any self service commercial launderette in Carmel-by-the-Sea either. So that poses a bit inconvenience.
It is very close to all he shops and restaurants at a reasonable price. Clean and is good value for the cost. Staff was very helpful
1.Best place and location
2. Room based on the price are best in category
3. Front office assistance is class apart
4. parking space
5. The "Fruit-Basket" with news paper lands to door step in the morning is a best courteous service.
I love this place.
Thomas at the front desk was very accommodating and provided great service. The rooms were perfect for what we needed. Nothing fancy but it had what we needed and contributed to a great weekend. I’d recommend this place for sure. I’m gonna book again.

Carmel, Junipero between 5th and 6th 🧭 Map
The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was simple but filling. It’s centrally located in Carmel and we’d come again for a weekend stay.
Room pretty outdated. Bathroom needs a remodel shower very tight and hot water almost non existent. No a/c witch was ok cause wasn't hot. Bed was very comfortable. Only thing made worth the price was the view. Other than that pretty much like a motel 6. Lady at checkin was awesome got us in early after long day of travel. Great location to everything. Overall good stay just need to update rooms little
Stayed for 3 nights and was not happy with our stay. The only good thing about this place is location. Paid for ocean view and got a partial ocean view if we looked between the trees. There was a problem with their boiler. The water would fluctuate to extremes and when we called in to front desk they said they would check it out. Nothing changed. Their wifi wasn’t working properly either. When we brought...
We decided to take a trip down to this lovely little town for a few days and this cute Inn had rooms available for an excellent price! We called to book a room and the price they offered beat all of the websites by quite a bit. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The Inn itself was very cute and conveniently located by the downtown area. The room was very cozy, quiet, and had a delightful...
Lovely room with large balcony and a fabulous view over the bay
I haven’t checked out yet but I’m so impressed with this place I had to write the review now. For what the hotel offers comparatively to others in the area, the prices are almost too reasonable. 10/10 for the cleanliness, service from both front desk and custodians, views, and location.
We got the king suite ocean view room and it has an incredible view with plenty of space for three people. (When...

Great place but no air conditioning yet maybe after the rest model in November 17
Pros. New bathrooms, nice linens, helpful staff, great location
Cons. Limited parking, threadbare rooms, limited breakfast. ( but great coffee)
Highlights: 1. Excellent location: a short walk from the beach and in the midst of restaurants, bars, beautiful boutiques and stores. 2. Decent rate: compared to other hotels/inns around Carmel-by-the-sea, Village Inn had very decent rate and included all facilities - 24-hour reception, complimentary breakfast, parking (limited) on-site, full bathroom and huge room. 3. 17-mile drive: starts a short...
This hotel is easy to find just off the main street and minutes from the highway. The anticipated weather forecast was rain so we weren't worried to much about the location as long as it was in Carmel. The hotel is easy walking distance to everything (stores and restaurants) and a very short walk to the beach. The room was small with a firm king size bed. The bathroom was updated and fresh/clean. There...
Clean, large rooms aren't anything fancy -location is the best feature of this hotel. Parking is a hassle in Carmel, so it was nice to simply park the car and walk around - breakfast was meh.
Clean rooms, very nice staff. I recommend it!

Could not more highly recommend staying here while you’re in town. From the very moment we checked in we were greeted by the most kind staff who checked us in, and carried our bags to our room. Every single staff member during our stay was so thoughtful and kind and made our stay extra special. The property is stunning with views of the ocean around every corner! The location is central and very walkable...
15/10 recommend La Playa Hotel. My husband and I came for our 10 year wedding anniversary and had an absolutely DREAMY time at this hotel exploring the town of Carmel. Free champagne breakfast, daily happy hour, and warm chocolate chip cookies at night just took our stay to another level. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. From the lobby, to the grounds, to the restaurant patio, to the rooms, everything...
Reviewing La Playa Hotel as a wedding venue! I'm a local wedding and elopement photographer and have worked here many times. I photographed here before and after the remodel, and while it was absolutely beautiful before, it is even more stunning now. The interior and exterior spaces make you feel like you're transported to Europe, with so many textures, colors, and details that have been carefully...
This place is a dream. The room was beautiful (with its own fully stocked little bar, complete with cocktail recipes and all the bar gear to shake something up yourself.) The staff was warm and welcoming. And the champagne breakfast? Fresh pastries, cheese, fruit, biggest and most delicious made-to-order omelets… and bubbly with an ocean view. Honestly, the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had.
Five stars...
Carmel is a typical American wealthy town. The hotel fully interprets the old money style, revealing a low-key and luxurious taste everywhere!
Located in Carmel Town near the sea, there are a few free parking spaces (take your chances). The room is very small, and you can't even open the suitcase, but the bedding and toiletries are very good. The hotel's breakfast is very good, and the bar is also...
So many wonderful perks and fantastic, warm service. The rooms were beautiful and the hotel bar was full but not too much that we couldn’t get a booth. We really enjoyed our weekend away!
One thing is that we could hear the people above us pretty loudly at night which wasn’t too much of a problem but they stayed up pretty late. In addition the beds had great cozy toppers and had great bedding/pillows...

Great location is the USP. It's an old place but maintained well.
Not very convenient if you have seniors with knee issues.
Limited choice of breakfast.
No kitchen / restaurant.
We stayed in a 2BR suite with oceanview. It's their largest suite and it had a kitchenette with burners, microwave, mini fridge n few utensils.
Other rooms don't have kitchenette.
Our room had gas fireplace too.
My +1 and I spent a few days in Carmel, and decided to stay at the Colonial Terrace. In short, the grounds are beautiful, the room was cozy, and the staff was very accommodating.
The location is only one street up from the beach, and a 5-10 minute walk to downtown. There is a pretty good hill you have to walk up if you take Ocean Avenue, but we thought being closer to the water was worth it.
We decided...
Excellent location, great breakfast delivered to our room every morning. Property grounds are beautiful and staff is very helpful and nice. We are a family of 3 stayed 4 days in unit 26 overlooking the ocean. It was a very spacious suite. We will be back.
Great location one block from the ocean. The front desk has chairs and towels you can borrow for the beach which great. Lots of cute outdoor seating and a fireplace which was cool. Staff was very nice. Our room (queen courtyard view) could use an update but was good value for the price.
If you stay here in late Nov, walk down to the beach about 5:40 pm and catch the sunset. And grab a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie from the lobby on your way down.
You can order a picnic basket to go at the front desk!

Edgemere Cottages
Carmel, San Antonio Avenue & 13th Avenue 🧭 Map
What a dreamy experience staying at Edgemere Cottages. The location, the setting, the curated cabin, the scrumptious goodies Gretchen had available? I'm half hesitant to share this gem with the world, but, alas, I suspect it's not so hidden - and credit is certainly due. This place was all-around awesome!
We stayed in the Devon cottage, and couldn't have been happier. You'll never want to leave! There...
We loved our stay at the fairytale cottage, “Devon” with a bit of an ocean view. We could hear the waves at night with the windows open. Lucky for us there was a full moon during our stay and we awoke in the middle of the night to see the moon through the skylight over the bed. The kitchenette was stocked with yogurt, fresh fruit, lemon poppyseed loaf, fresh-baked cookies and coffee with mints at...
I stayed here with my husband and three small children. We appreciated the fresh home-baked goods, comfortable beds, and cozy atmosphere of the cottage, but the space is incredibly small and left us all feeling a bit claustrophobic. The location is superb, which is why we chose it - very quiet, in a sweet garden, at the far end of the Carmel beach, just one block from the waves crashing. But for this...
Best place to stay in Carmel! The hosts are kind and helpful. They even made us delicious home made cookies and bannana bread. The cottages are cute and perfect. Great little kitchen and clean and comfy beds. The garden like grounds are full of beautiful plants and it is only a block to the beautiful Carmel beach.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to post a review! My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay in these quaint cottages by the sea. They were everything I had hoped for, the breakfasts were fantastic (thanks for the recipe, Gretchen!) and the service (Gretchen and staff) was amazing and helpful. Never felt so comfortable or at home away from home. And this is a deal compared to other cottages...
