Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, an IHG Hotel

Not very clean. No open restaurant. No open bar. No housekeeping. Small rooms. Staff wasn't very friendly.

Room was nothing like the pictures online, small cramped space bathroom extremely small barely any room to turn around and after your done using the restroom you must open the door and return to the bedroom to wash hands. The design and layout of the room space was not executed well. Typically you would expect to wash your hands prior to exiting the bathroom due to germs and cross contamination however after using restroom you then have to leave and then wash hands. We then requested a room with a sink in the bathroom but was told all rooms are designed with sink outside of the bathroom! Also it is not recommended to get a standard room these are the smallest rooms with no privacy if you plan to share room with a friend. Getting dressed in such a small space was uncomfortable and least desirable. Staff was nice. Also when booking online I put in a special request to check in early. When making the request I was not notified there would be a charge until I arrived early to check in. After notifying the hotel they would not make accommodation despite the misleading information on the hotel booking site. So I had to leave and return later. Room did not have a fridge or microwave. Hotel staff brought us a fridge upon our request. I expected more based upon the reviews and the website photos. Also upon checkout we requested a luggage cart to carry our luggage down to valet after waiting 25min we had to call again after waiting an additional 20 min we decided to carry our belongings down in order to avoid late check out once we were about to get on tiny elevator the cart arrived. I would not recommend this hotel the price did not match the service or space. One positive, it was in walking from restaurants/ day and nightlife activities

We did a quick weekend getaway here & the location of the hotel is excellent, we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend. It's walking distance to River St. & all of the Historic Downtown area.

That said I've stayed at cleaner hotels than this for 1/5th of the price. They really need to step it up. The dinghy carpet in the halls needs to be replaced/removed. I requested a 1 bedroom & got a 2 bedroom & the room wasn't big enough for 2 beds. The bathroom sink wasn't even in the bathroom, it was in the main room with the beds. I had to ask for soap & towels, cause there was 1 towel in the room & no soap in the bathroom. There were stains on the bathroom walls, the tissue box was empty. I could keep going, but I'll just say it's not worth the price & leave it at that.

We pretty much only used the hotel for sleep, showers & parking. It was not a nice or comfortable experience staying here, but it didn't ruin the overall trip.
