Ayla Bawadi Hotel

Honestly, not very happy with the stay. From being able to book the place to the stay and breakfast, it was all a task.
The reservation was such a task and our POC would not even respond to the calls, messages, etc. Moving to the rooms, the pillows had such a bad stench in both the rooms that we booked. Tried to call reception around 3 PM, no response, no call backs. Eventually, complained to sales manager and it got fixed. Cherry on top was the breakfast, the menu is very limited which is still fine. But, the filipina lady in Sedar Restaurant is very rude. The coffee machine was not working properly and when I told her, she was so weird about it and told me to sit and she will bring coffee for me, obviously, she didn't and when I asked her about the machine being fixed, again her response was so rude. Later, while we were leaving, she was sooo rude and repeating over and over that you can't take away food, and giving such weird looks. Finally, the check out was at 12 and they disabled our cards around 11 itself which was so weird and never experienced before.
Honestly, don't expect this from a 4 star. The people at the reception were okay and so was the housekeeping staff on floor. But, every body else including the sales team could really learn a thing or two.

I left my wedding ring in the room and called asking if they had saved it, but they said they hadn't found it. It was there. It's not about the cost but what it means to me. I don't understand how they can keep something that is obviously valuable to someone else.

To be honest i don’t like to give a bad-review to a places i visit, i usually just ignore it.

Let’s start for me personally i will not repeat coming to this hotel, however i’m not saying it’s bad hotel, is just i’ll not come back.

I made my booking through Agoda 1 week ago, all was fine money already deducted form my account, just to get a surprise when i arrive to the hotel, receptionist to say to us that our booking not confirmed, and reject the confirmation email i had which i showed to her, advise me to call Agoda, well since i’m coming from Dubai, i was frustrated due a hot weather, call Agoda and stick on the line for 20-M to someone to help me, and the person who helped me out, he let me wait for another 20 minutes,
After that time , the Assistance manager give me the number of the department who manages there booking, ( WELL UNTIL NOW I’m very shocked they’re letting me deal with it on my own, where is it’s not my fault at all, if they have issue with Agoda they should fix it ASAP without involving the guest on it, i call that number and they said will not give me a room and i have to cancel my booking to get a booking direct from the hotel as easy as that, despite that how rude was the lady who answer my call, the assistant manager helped us to get a tiny room telling me that the rate is 500-AED and will give me 100-AED, discount, thanks for that.

I’ll not visit
Staff are not well accommodating the guests, if you order something they will put your order in the bar not waiting for you to come and give it face to face, which is against the hospitality rules, as i work in this industry,
No rules of use in the jacuzzi room, as there is one jacuzzi was used by the same ladies when my wife go in morning and night waiting for them to go out, but they didn’t.

I’ll not mention other hotels names, but there is a bunch of other hotels are better in AlAin,

Last: please take care of the above comments as it is not nice to had such an experience during the holidays.

Not recommended due to the following:
-very rude staff at the main reception. Manager and a lady at the reception are both not accommodating. We selected a room with Twin beds and we were given a Queen size bed. We requested to be transferred but we were asked to pay more. The manager's reason is that they are fully booked, but it is evident that the hotel is only having few guests.
-We had two breakfasts and there are tables that aren't cleaned. A lot of insects are flying around. It's disgusting.
-for those who had booked this hotel and coming from the mall, there was no proper signages inside the mall to know where it is connected.

Overall, we are not happy at all with our stay. I will not recommend this hotel.
