Reviews
I recently stayed at Danat Hotel with my partner, and unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of appalling. Upon arrival, we were told that we would need to sleep in separate beds, despite being a couple. When we expressed our concern and asked for assistance in resolving the matter, the staff showed no willingness to help. The response was dismissive and unprofessional, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unsupported.
What made this situation even worse was the clear sense of racial bias we felt throughout our interaction with the hotel staff. It was disheartening to experience such behavior, especially in a place that is supposed to offer hospitality and customer service.
For the amount of money we paid, we expected a much higher level of service and basic courtesy, but we were met with indifference. We were left with no choice but to accept the unsatisfactory arrangement, as the hotel did not offer any solutions or alternatives.
I am deeply disappointed by the treatment we received at Danat Hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. The lack of professionalism, coupled with discriminatory behavior, was a stark contrast to the high expectations set by the hotel’s reputation.
I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision when choosing accommodations in the future.
The condition of the rooms was equally frustrating. The carpets were visibly dirty, giving the room a rundown and unclean feel. Basic cleanliness was lacking, and it was clear that the standards of housekeeping are far below what you’d expect from a supposedly reputable resort.
The amenities also left much to be desired – the pool area was not well-maintained, and several facilities were either broken or outdated. We felt that our complaints and concerns were simply ignored by the staff, adding to the sense that guests' satisfaction is not a priority at this hotel.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable, respectful, and well-maintained environment. We were really disappointed and will not be returning.
In our telephonic conversation, being front and centre of the Danat resort he spared no effort to understand my family’s needs for a comfortable and peaceful stay and thats just what we received.
The establishment itself boasts a unique and picturesque setting within the Al Ain area with large rooms kitted with all the creature comforts one would need for a family.
The concierge reception upon arrival also deserves a mention as they warmly welcomed us and received our luggage with a smile.
The reception desk, while being manned by two male staff member, was very efficient giving no credence to the adage that men cant multitask….A point I had the joy of making to my wife at the time.
Overall this was a lovely family getaway. If you’re looking for something a little rustic and less contemporary with scenic road trip to match then this is for you…
To make matters worse, once we finally received our room, most of the room access cards didn't work properly, neither in the lifts nor the rooms themselves. This added to our frustration and left us with a very bad first impression of the resort's management.
On a positive note, the time we spent at the swimming pool was delightful. The pool area was a hit with the family and kids, and we enjoyed relaxing there. The bartender at the poolside bar was excellent—very helpful and attentive, making our poolside experience quite enjoyable.
As for the dining experience, it was a mixed bag. The dinner was okay but nothing to write home about. However, the breakfast was a redeeming factor, offering a good variety and quality that we appreciated.
Overall, while the resort had some enjoyable aspects, the initial experience with the check-in process and room access issues overshadowed our stay. I hope the management can address these issues to improve the experience for future guests.
