Terrible Experience – Mismanaged Parking and Rude Staff

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Al Sharq Hotel. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because they offer free parking. Upon arrival, I parked my car and handed over my key to the staff as instructed. At that point, my vehicle was fully under the hotel’s custody.

Shockingly, on the same date and time, I received a police fine for illegal parking. I was confused because I hadn’t moved the car — it was with the hotel. When I asked the staff about it, they casually told me it must be a mistake and assured me not to worry.

Still, I took the initiative to visit the relevant authorities to verify the fine. To my surprise, it was legitimately issued because the hotel staff had parked my car in a prohibited area.

When I returned to the hotel and explained the situation, hoping for a resolution, I was met with extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing concern, the staff bluntly told me to “go complain to the police” and said they couldn’t help.

This was not only irresponsible but completely unacceptable. I trusted this hotel with my property, and their negligence directly caused me a police fine and a lot of stress. On top of that, the dismissive and disrespectful attitude from the staff made the situation even worse.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially if you plan to use their parking services. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to take responsibility or treat you with basic courtesy.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the behavior of your hotel staff. Their attitude has been extremely rude and unprofessional, to the extent that they are not even worth speaking to.

I have been staying at your hotel for the past week, and not only that, I also recommended your hotel to my family and friends, who have also shifted here based on my suggestion. Unfortunately, due to the disrespectful and inappropriate behavior of your staff, we have all decided to leave the hotel.

As a customer, it is my right to raise a complaint when I am treated poorly. I will also be leaving an honest review on Google to inform others of this experience.

I hope management takes this matter seriously and ensures that such incidents do not happen with other guests in the future.

Hotel took my friend’s car key, parked it illegally, and left him to deal with the fine. Zero accountability. Avoid this place.

Once i arrived they gave me the door key and i got inside the room uncleaned and not ready, i went back to the reception and the receptionist asked me to wait till they clean the room. I have waited more than 20 minutes till I got the room. I don’t know what to say but if I can give 0 star I would do it. The toilet, towel and the bed smells so so so bad. If I had the option to sleep in my car it would be much better. Also, the heater doesn’t work I took shower with iced water . So so bad. Comparing the price with service, too expensive. Bad experience.

Good location in Sharjah. Close to bus stops and shops downtown.
Staff are respectful.
Rooms are fine but the service is what you have to ask for.

The room and other service was ok in till I go down to check out .their was Egyptian man on customer service the first thing he do is start talking with the person next to me and start doing his paper with out asking me what I want because I arrived before him and I’m a woman I asked him to check out for me first because it my turn he start guessing when I’m from and telling me I’m beautiful than othe my country girls I try to remember him he no supposed to talk this way and please do my check out I’m in hurry he keep blabbing mixing English and Arabic saying I will not eat ur id and talking very disrespectfuly In Arabic . I’m shocked how this can happened like this person how he is in customer service

1-Star Review for Al Sharq Hotel: I recently booked a room at the Al Sharq Hotel through an online website, and my experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff failed to provide a proper welcome, simply handing us the room key without any courtesy or assistance. Upon entering the room, we were dismayed to find that it was very small, the AC was not working properly, and the TV was in poor condition. When we went to the washroom, it was even worse - the toilet seat was unclean, and the flush button was broken. Dissatisfied with the poor quality of the room, I immediately called the reception to request a room change. However, the staff member informed me that once I had entered the room, I could not change it, despite the fact that I had paid for the accommodation. Forced to make do with the substandard room, I tried to get some rest, but the pillows were smelling badly as if they had not been washed in months. The following day, when it was time to check out, I was a mere 15 minutes late, but the reception staff member insisted that the room had been rebooked in my name. They demanded that I pay half the price of the room again, and they refused to return my identification documents until I complied. Overall, the Al Sharq Hotel is a disappointment, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The poor customer service, the substandard room conditions, and the unreasonable policies make this hotel undeserving of the low prices advertised online. You can save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

I will recommend only 2 star for All of them.
