Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney

Beautiful room, very clean & tidy. Lovely bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the views, and it was so close to everything! Right near the light rail, buses, & Wynyard station. Lots within walking distance. We'd definitely choose to stay again.

Very good sized larger than usual hotel rooms.
Bedding very comfortable, accommodation was a little rundown outdated furniture pieces, carpets definitely needs a changing or vacuuming all corners and under bedding frame, u can see layers of dust piling up on the non trafficked areas. Bathroom airy and bright with a fantastic view towards Barangaroo Crown tower.
Service for checking in was so busy 😫 because all the only 2 service attendees were flat out. A third counter would have eased the queue and wait times.

Good 5 star hotel, which, however, would be even better if some of the rooms would be renovated and the restaurant would be designed a bit more charming.
The stuff is very, very friendly. Sometimes more friendly than competent. But they always try their very best to help you.
The indoor pool is cool, so is the jacuzzi and the sauna. The showers there need an upgrade.
The breakfast is good. Fresh omelette and poached eggs are made (Monday till Friday). Some hot drinks, however, are only offered at extra cost.
To make a long story short: After a renovation (the last was before 2010) the hotel would be one of the best in Sydney.

Getting to the hotel by car was a nightmare but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. However, they could have provided a thumbnail sketch to make things easier for access to their car park.
Checking in was a breeze and our room was very pleasant. A complimentary bottle of wine was lovely but a kettle and a sachet of gunpowder was not my idea of a cup of drinkable coffee.
That night we tried the hotel dining room and for a reasonable price had a very nice meal with complementary wines. The espresso was very nice and finished off the meal well.
The hotel is located in a good central part of town and walking to most places is easy. The room price was affordable and good value. I would certainly recommend the Amora.
PS. Spend a little money on a thicker toilet paper, my bum needs TLC.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Staff were super friendly with very attentive doormen.

The Jamison Club evening drinks and canapes were also very good.

Some small areas of improvement would be there is a fine line between scolding hot and cold in the shower, so pick your poison. Also, our bags were delivered to the incorrect room which was concerning.

But all in all, very nice and would stay again.

Comfortable stay, the staff are accommodating and friendly, the upgrades offering was good that makes you wanting to stay again with welcome drinks too, the kids enjoyed the pool facilities, beautiful view from the room from high level floors. Overall it’s great! 4star - the sink needs maintenance which is minor fault only.
