Villa Orange

The place was not too bad in terms of convenience. In terms of hygiene, I think it wasn't bad either. The thing that seriously needs to be improved is the attitude towards people. Personally, I and my friends constantly had problems with a blonde aunt who apparently had no incentive to work or maintain good relations. For no clear reason, we received remarks and arrogant behaviour, which, in my opinion, is not normal for a person who wants to rest from stress. Something that also made me think a lot was that the rules of the villa did not apply to everyone, and it felt like a double standard. In general, your holiday depends on the mood of the woman at the reception with blonde hair.

The place was very dirty with mole around the corners of the rooms. The furniture is old and over used. The staff that is at the reception during the night is extremely rude and clueless. The towels and the the bed sheets were also very old and with holes in them. Doesn’t waste your time bringing those issues to the front desk cause you will here the words “It is what it is” There are a few light bulbs missing. The pool is very rarely cleaned. The curtains are also old and dirty. If you have allergies this is not a place for you.

Overall the hotel is nice but the maintenance is below the critical minimum. Air conditioners are breaking down, refrigerators and TVs are not working. If the maintenance is better, the hotel is worth it. It is close to Bamboo Beach and close to bakeries, grocery stores such as Lidl is 50 meters away.

Stay away from this place! We booked 5 nights at Selena Beach Hotel through the  Travelocity.  At the check-in, they did not have any rooms available for us while we booked a sea view room. We were sent to the hotel across the street, The Villa Orange.  This other hotel did not have an elevator but a leaking ceiling in the hall.  Our room was in the basement instead of the sea view  a block away from the sea  and to bring bags downstairs, it was such an experience! The night shift receptionist was very rude questioning our citizenship and the language we spoke.  Customer service at 0% level!  We did not feel safe at this place that caused us to leave the hotel at 1 a.m the very first night.

As for the original hotel from our reservation, Selena Beach Hotel, the manager was not available to solve the issue the first day. On the question when the manager will be available the next day, nobody could give us an exact time when we can speak to her/ him.
