Richmond Plaza Motel
Ottawa, 238 Richmond Rd, ON K1Z, Canada 🧭 Map
it was amazing the people there were so nice and I found nothing wrong and they even clean you're room too so it's a nice place to stay in
Our first week here we found alot of needles and pipes around. Needless to say we werent impressed. Poor maintenance, the Wi-Fi signal barely works, never hot water, and the staff are less than proffesional. Dont forget the endless screaming of guests whove got their entire family with them (sometimes 8 ppl) in a single room. This place used to be so nice. I wish theyd make the effort to clean it up...
It's well center , you can walk to go to restaurants, LCBO right next door, superstore beside it , laundry mat on next block, you have all the commodity around the motel and it's a clean place
The place and prices are good for what it is. The reviews people post is as if though they are expecting luxury standards. Relax people. They have everything you need and are very helpful. In addition everything is walking distance and downtown is shy of 10 minutes away.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They accommodated me with 2 beds when I asked for one because they did not have a single bed. We got way more than we expected. I recommend this place for any traveler on a budget.

Had a lovely 2-night stay at Ambassador B&B. Room was comfortable, amenities were great, and the host, Irina, was very kind and helpful!
We chose this Bed and Breakfast because of its location. We were going to the Venezuelan Embassy to get our passports. Irina was kind enough to checked us in after midnight, gave us incredible and valuable information about the process (she has hosted many Venezuelans before us) like regardless the time going to the embassy to put our names on the list. And on top of that the breakfast is delicious...
The owner, Irina, is a wonderful host. She is going beyond the normal service, giving an excellent breakfast and kind touristic orientation to everyone.
And especially to venezuelans who need to do the passeport at the embassy, 5 minutes walking from there.
The room and the whole house are clean and warm, it's make you feel at home.
Irena was a 10/10 host. The accommodation is clean, comfortable & a great location. Irena got up early to make us breakfast for our early departure at 6.45am. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. And an added bonus was Archibald the beautiful cat 🖤
This is my favourite place in town, I stay with this wonderful family every time I visit Ottawa!
Irina is a wonderful host and an amazing chef. Her breakfast is unbeatable. Love the specialty crepes, coffee, omelette, everything!
The location is perfect - right in the heart of historical part of the city, a few minutes walk to Byward market, subway and it’s right besides a nice park with Roseau river...

Ottawa, 1342 Corkery Rd, ON K0A 1L0, Canada 🧭 Map
This is a fantastic place to stay. The owners are super accommodating and friendly. We were attending a wedding near by and they had no problem letting us come back and forth to change or cool down. The grounds and accommodations are excellent. The breakfast was gourmet. We highly recommend this B&B.
Such a lovely B&B. The owners were very friendly and happy. I was pleasantly surprised by the little things; toiletries including some hair elastics, dental floss, and tooth paste(so thoughtful) as well as bubble bath for our soaker tub (Maestro Suite) bath robes, and refreshments in the common room.
Breakfast was delicious! Stuffed French toast covered in berries and whipped cream and slices of thick...
Very nice quiet place! Hosts were really welcoming (ask them about their motorcycle trips, they have tons of stories to tell!) The room was very pretty and clean, loved the sound of birds and frogs (window open) before falling sleep. Breakfast was simple but good.
Our stay at the Windsong Manor was fantastic. We loved the distance from Ottawa - far enough away that you feel like you are getting out of the city but close enough that you aren't travelling too long. The room was very nice. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly. We would recommend this B&B to anyone.
It's a beautiful place to stay, my boyfriend and I were here for one night only and everything went pretty well. The place is very cozy and furthermore it has a hot tub that you have to enjoy once you are here. Debby was the one who attended us when we just arrived to the location and I have to say that she is very nice and educated too. You won't regret if you are looking for a place a bit far away...

20mins walk to parliament.
Both Receptionists were great ( when we checked in and checked out). Reasonable prices for room. Includes breakfast. Has a pool and a gym. $18 per day for parking. Has 3 parking levels though, yet it fills up super fast but if you have paid for it, you will get a slot for sure as they will let guests know if it’s full and won’t overbook it.
I did feel there were bed bugs...
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Ottawa during a business trip from Monday to Thursday. Upon arrival, I noticed the hotel was already bustling with activity. The parking was available at $18, with multiple floors of underground parking.
The hotel itself was impressively clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and as a platinum club member, I was...
Room is nice and the staff are friendly. Like many of the other reviews have noted: its 1 block away from the homeless shelter, and the neighborhood is a bit rough up until a few blocks before parliament hill. I did end up asking the front desk about areas to visit and avoid, she drew a safer route. Although I was a bit nervous in parts, my wife did notice some other folks walking through with not...
The hotel itself was nice. Beautiful patio to go sit out on, usual, clean room of a holiday inn. The people were also nice.
We also had continental breakfast that didn't disappoint.
Although the location is close to downtown, it looks to be beside a homeless shelter in what feels like an unsafe area. When we looked out our window, we could see people on the street doing heavy drugs and fighting....
The hotel was very nice and clean. The view from the top floor was great especially at sunset. There's a lot of security for the guests and vehicles. I felt safe there. I see other reviewers complained about the homeless, yes there were a lot of homeless walking around day and night but where else would you have them go? I think it's a good wake up for people who don't usually see them. The problem...
Excellent, clean and modern hotel. Definitely recommend. Lots of electronic outlets in the room. Nice size TV and good reception. WIFI is also very good.
